I Make Peace, I Create Evil: I The Lord Do All These Things

In this Sabbath lesson from Israel Church of the Firstborn in Indianapolis, Brother Joshua teaches on the sovereignty of God from Isaiah 45:7: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. The lesson shows that the God who makes peace also creates evil, that nothing comes into a believer's life without passing through Him, and that knowing who is in control is what brings the servant of God peace through every trouble. It moves from Isaiah to Job, David, and Abraham. Every passage is read in the King James Version.

1.I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things

The lesson takes its title from Isaiah the forty-fifth chapter, where the Lord declares that He alone forms the light and creates darkness, makes peace and creates evil. Brother Joshua opens by saying it is good to talk about the goodness of God, but that there is another side people leave out.

Isaiah 45:5-7 KJV

5I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

6That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

7I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

"It's okay to talk about the goodness of God, because he's a marvelous God, a merciful God. But a lot of people leave out something else about this God too. He got another side to him. The Lord really don't play around. He operate on a whole another level that man will really not understand."

"The Lord created evil. When you doing wrong, he the one that send the evil angel in your life. Or when you doing righteous, he's sending the righteous angel in your life. Everything operates off of the Lord. That's why us that serve God, that's where our peace come in, because we know who behind the desk pulling the strings."

Because His ways are higher than ours, the servant of God does not need to understand everything that happens. He only needs to trust the One whose thoughts are higher than his own.

Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV

8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

2.He is in control of it all

To show that nothing is outside the Lord's hand, the lesson reads through the Psalms and Isaiah: He numbers the stars and calls them by name, He covers the heavens with clouds, He gives the beasts their food, He is the God who declares the end from the beginning and none is like Him.

Psalms 147:4-5 KJV

4He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

5Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV

9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

10Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

"He's the big player. He's the coach in the game. He's the one setting the players on the bench and telling them to get in and run the game. He's running it all."

Everything is worked after the counsel of His own will, which is exactly why the believer can give thanks in every circumstance, even when things are not going right.

Ephesians 1:11 KJV

11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV

16Rejoice evermore.

17Pray without ceasing.

18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

"Everything is according to his will. And when you think like that, that's where your peace come in. You know what, I don't know why it happened like that, I'm mad it happened like that, but I know who's in control. And I'm going to go pray to him, because I know who running the show."

3.He'll bring you down, and He'll bring you back up

The lesson goes to Job to show that even the man who is perfect in the eyes of the Lord is not exempt from trouble. Satan himself has to check in with the Lord, and can do nothing beyond the limit God sets. When calamity came, Job did not sin; he tore his robe, fell down, and worshipped.

Job 1:21 KJV

21And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Job 2:10 KJV

10But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

"Satan got to check in with the Lord too. He can't just do what he want. The Lord said, all that he have is in thy power, but I got one commandment for you: upon himself put not forth thine hand. I'm putting a limit on what you can do. Because who controlling the strings? The Lord is controlling the strings."

"The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. He blamed it on the Lord, because he knew who it was. It don't matter if you're doing right or not. When trouble come your way, it's your time to deal with it. You got to take it straight to him."

And the same God who brought Job all the way down restored him everything he had, because He brings the trouble and He relieves the trouble.

4.Trouble will come; you have to prove your worth

From Jeremiah, the lesson warns against leaning on man instead of the Lord, and from Matthew that the word of God brings a sword, not ease. The disciples were sent out as sheep among wolves, and told that only he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Jeremiah 17:5-8 KJV

5Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

St. Matthew 10:34-36 KJV

34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

"The Lord ain't going to have you do nothing he didn't do. Jesus went through persecution, affliction. He completed the mission, and all he had to do in the end was be accepted, because he's found worthy. And that's what we got to do."

The clearest example is Abraham, the father of the faithful, who was tried in the hardest way a man can be tried and did not withhold his son. Brother Joshua is careful to distinguish God trying a man from God tempting him to sin.

Genesis 22:11-12 KJV

11And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

12And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

"The Lord don't really tempt man with evil, but he will try you. He'll try your faith. He'll try to see how much you love him. Abraham trusted in the Lord even when it was rough, so he came out on top. This is why he's called the father of the faithful."

5.Learn to be at peace, and be patient

Knowing God is in control, the lesson teaches the believer to turn the other cheek, to love his enemies, and to bless those who curse him, because peace comes from trusting who is behind it all.

St. Matthew 5:38-39 KJV

38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

St. Matthew 5:43-44 KJV

43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Everything, he teaches, is on God's time, not ours. There is a season for every purpose, and the trying of your faith is what works patience.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

James 1:2-4 KJV

2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

David is held up as the example of patience: a man of war surrounded by soldiers ready to kill for him, who let Shimei curse him and throw stones, because he believed the Lord had bidden it.

2 Samuel 16:10-11 KJV

10And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?

11And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

"David was a man of war, he had real assassins with him. But he exercised his patience. He said, let him alone, and let him curse, for the Lord hath bidden him. The Lord probably told him to do it. We all need to ask for patience. Patience is a big one we need."

6.All things work together for good

The lesson closes its teaching in Romans: for the one who loves God, it is all going to come together for His purpose. Tribulation is not wasted, it works patience, patience works experience, and experience works hope.

Romans 8:28 KJV

28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 5:3-5 KJV

3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

"All things work together for the good of them that love God. If you love and believe God, it's all going to come together for his purpose. You've been through a few things, so now you got some experience, now your skin is tough, now you got hope."

Closing Word

"Let's end it the same way we started. That's how we keep our peace, we know the Lord is in control of all things. I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I the Lord do all these things. And I pray y'all got some understanding."

Brother Joshua ended by reminding the class that the peace of the servant of God rests on being on the Lord's side, and knowing that the God who controls all things is for them.

Psalms 24-5 reading the holy word in Jesus name. We pray. We going to start it off. We going to open up with our Sabbath script. A little priory this morning. We going to open it up with our with our Sabbath script.

We'll go to the second chapter. 2, Genesis 2, and we'll read 1 through3 because we all just for anybody watching online, anybody who watching, however you tuning in to today's lesson, we always want to let you remind people of what the Sabbath day is. And accordance to the Lord's Sabbath day. Genesis the 2 chapter, and we'll pick it up at verse one. Genesis 2 and verse one. When you get to Israel, go ahead and read.

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God in which he had eaten. And he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And if you and if you look out there just all you got to do is just look out there at life. The Lord put in a lot of work. He created the clouds.

He created the stars, the moon, the sun. Everything we see that man has no control over. The Lord created that. Israel three. And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. See, he blessed that seventh day.

As long as you can count the seven, you can keep the Sabbath day. All you got to know how to do is count the seven. Because that in it, he had rested from all his work which God created and made. So he rested from all his work which God had created and made. And we gonna show you the Sabbath day is part of the commandments. Let's go.

Matthew the 19th chapter. Let's go to Matthew 19. That's a commandment from God. That's a commandment. He said, "Remember my Sabbath day to keep it holy." Yes, sir. He said, "I gave you six days to do everything you need to do, but I need you to take this day out and and and deal with me." Refresh yourself.

Get yourself ready for the week. Say Matthew 19. And we'll pick it up at verse 16. St. Matthew 19. Cuz we going to see what this rich man asked Jesus.

Say Matthew 19 and 16. Israel. And behold, one came and said unto him, "Good master, what good things shall I do that I may have eternal life?" And see, that's a good question. That was a great question he asked. What good thing that I may do that I may have eternal life? Cuz he already had all the money.

So he like, "What I need to do that I may have eternal life?" But what did but what did Jesus say? Verse 17. And he said unto him, "Why callst thou me good?" He said, "Why you why callst thou me good?" Go ahead. There is none good but one. That is God. See the Lord didn't even accept this fleshly body.

Like he he he considered himself the son of man. He considered himself the son of man. He ain't had no it ain't no problem with this fleshly body. No sir. He said why callst thou me good? There is none good for one.

But what else he say? But if thou will enter into life. But look, if you want to enter into life, what you got to do? Keep the commandments. See, that's what it's all about. That's why we here on the Lord's Sabbath day.

That's why I'm good. That's why we here on the Lord's Sabbath day. That's why. Now, let's go to the last five. Let's go to Let's go to St. Luke the 4th chapter.

Let's go to St. Luke 4th. Because a lot of people say they Christians and they Christlike. But you got to do the things that Christ do. You got to do the things that Christ do. Yes, you do.

If you Christlike, let's see what Jesus did on the Sabbath day. St. Luke the 4th chapter and we'll pick it up there at verse 14. St. Luke 4:14. When you get there, go ahead and read.

And Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee. And there went out a fame of him through all the regions round about. See, it was a fame about Jesus through all the regions round about. You got to think Jesus was healing the sick. Jesus was performing a lot of miracles that they ain't used to seeing. So he was on the scene and he was and he started to get some little fame about himself.

Israel 15. And he taught in their synagogues being glorified of all. And that's another thing people don't like to talk about with Jesus. Jesus taught the word of God. He taught the word. He taught in their synagogues being glorified of all.

16. And he came to Nazareth. He came to Nazareth. Where he had been brought up because that's where he was brought up. And as his custom was, see, this is a custom. He said as his custom was.

What was his custom? He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day dealing with the Lord. That was his custom. That's our custom. It's a way of life for us now. Friday night, we chilling.

We chilling till Saturday night. We chilling till sundown. That's our custom now. It's a part of our life. Is that it? That's it.

I want to praise the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I want to say peace to everybody here in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I want to say happy Sabbath to anyone watching us online, YouTube, Facebook. However you tuning in to today's lesson, we want to say happy Sabbath to you. Uh we want to send a special shout out to Oadia. And uh we wish you safe travels on your way back on your return.

We know you're going to do the Lord's work and you going to come back and we pray you have a safe return. We also want to say happy Sabbath to the brother and sister here at Israel Church of the Firstborn. Say happy Sabbath to the brothers in the brotherhood group text sisterhood. Uh happy Sabbath to everybody. Happy uh the title to today's lesson is I make peace, I create evil, I the Lord do all these things. I make peace, I create evil, I the Lord do all these things.

You know, it's okay to talk about the goodness of God, right? Because he's a marvelous God. He's a merciful God. And you do well by talking about the goodness of God. But a lot of people leave out something else about this God, too. He got another side to him, too.

And a lot of people leave that out. They talk about the goodness of him, but we need to also talk about how the Lord don't really play around, either. The Lord really really don't play around. He operate on a whole another level that man will really not understand. And and and it's hard for people to grasp this because a lot of people don't like to associate God with evil. But the Lord created evil.

Yes, he did. The Lord is the one that created evil. When you doing wrong, he the one that send the evil angel in your life. Or when you doing righteous, he's sending the righteous angel in your life. This is all everything operates off of the Lord. That's why us as saints and us that serve God, that's where our peace come in.

Our peace come in because we know who behind the We know who behind the desk pulling the strings. No. And it's things that's going to go on in your life that you ain't going to be able to have an answer for. It's going to be things that happen that you going to be like scratching your head, confused about. But what bring you your peace is for us to know the Lord is in control of it all. Oh, he's in control of it all.

You might not see, you might not see what's going on. You might not understand why it happened that way. But the Lord thoughts is not your thoughts. Neither is his way is your ways, cuz he's on a higher scale than what we are. That's why we gonna open up with we still we still going to have that Psalms in there, but we going to open up with Isaiah 55. Let's go to Isaiah 55 real quick cuz this going to tie into what we talking about cuz we don't understand why things happen.

We don't understand certain things we just don't understand. Even when you look out here in the world, you might look like, man, it ain't no savior out here to save the people. It is. The only thing that's going on is the things that the Lord allow. That's it. He's the one.

He's the big player. He's the coach in the game. He's the one setting the players on the benches and telling them to get in and run the game. He's running it all. Yes, he is. Isaiah 55.

Isaiah 55 and we going to read verses 8 and N. Isaiah 55. This is just an opening scripture. We going to read verses 8 and N. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. For my thoughts are not your thoughts.

Neither are your ways my ways. See, he said, "My thoughts are not your thoughts. Neither your ways my ways." You don't understand why he do it. But the Lord is the one that make peace. He the one to bring peace in. He the one that allow trouble to come in your life.

Cuz if you don't want to allow it, it won't happen. Everything has to get past the Lord. He said, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways your ways." Go ahead. Sayaith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth. See, as the heavens are higher than the earth, go ahead, Israel.

So are my ways higher than your ways. See, my ways are higher than your ways. Don't question me about what's going on. Just trust in me. And that's what we got to do sometimes, especially as being servants of God. Even if we confuse, we still got to trust in him.

Brother, go ahead, Israel. And my thoughts than your thoughts. And he said, "My thoughts and your thoughts." My thoughts are way higher than your thoughts. Way higher. So, what we going to do? We going to do this lesson right now.

This lesson is to bring us comfort during any type of trouble or any anything we going through. This lesson is to bring us comfort. This lesson is to is to uplift us, encourage us, to let us know the God we serve is controlling the boat, y'all. He's controlling the whole boat. Let's get without further ado, let's get into the lesson. Let's start this off in Psalms because we want to show you ain't nothing the Lord is in control of it all.

Everything is operating off of his will. That's what we all got to understand. He said, "Let it be done in earth like it is in heaven." Yes. So, heaven is He already got that straight. He about to come and get this earth straight. Yes, he is.

Psalms 147. We going to pick it up at verse one. We going to show you the power of the Lord. Praise you the Lord. For it is good to sing praises unto our God. It is good to sing praises unto our God.

For it is pleasant and praise is comely. The Lord through filled up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcast of Israel. He the one that's going to gather the outcast of Israel. Israel. He health the broken in heart and bind up their wound.

Ain't no need to go to no counselor cuz the Lord is the one that health the broken in heart. I You don't need to go to no counselor. You need to come right here to the Lord. This your counselor right here. Israel. Four, he tells the number of the stars.

He calleth them all by their name. See, we just read that. We just read the Lord created all things and rested on the seventh day. So he created all the stars and he called them all by names. All the stars have a name. All of Go ahead.

Israel. Great is our Lord and of great power. His understanding is infinite. The Lord lifts up the meek and casteth the wicked down to the ground. Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving. Sing praise upon the heart unto our God.

See, cuz he going to tell you what he do. What he do, Israel? Read that next verse. Who coverth the heaven with clouds. See, he the one that cause the clouds to be covered. He the one that caused the heavens to be covered by the clouds.

When it look like when the sun out there and then the clouds just come and cover and it just look like it's it where the sun go. He doeth that. He said, "Who coverth the heavens with clouds." What else he do? He prepareth rain for the earth. He prepared a rain for the earth. He prepareth.

Who made the grass to grow upon the mountain? He giveth to the beastes food. And to the young ravens which cry. So when you watching Animal Planet and you see that lion hunt down that buffalo and he getting the Lord is the one. He giveth the beast food and the young ravens which cry. This realm 10.

He delightth not in the strength of the horse. I don't care how strong your horse is, it ain't it ain't fasing me. He delightth not in the strength of the war. He created the horse. He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. Hey, my legs pretty strong, but he ain't taking pleasure in them.

We still weak compared to him. I got some pretty strong calf muscles. I can jump now, but it ain't nothing. He don't take pleasure in that. Don't do me like that. Verse 11.

The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him. In those that hope in his mercy. That's what cuz we not sure. We don't know if we going to make the mission. We hoping we make the mission. Skip on down to verse 15 and go ahead.

Israel. Read 12. Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem. Praise thy God, O Zion. He said, "Praise the Lord, oh Jerusalem. Praise thy God." Now, skip on down to verse 15 and go ahead.

He sendeth forth his commandment upon the earth. His word runth very swiftly. See, he the one sent this commandment on this earth. Israel 16. He giveth snow like like wool. He scatterth the hor or horross like ash.

See, he the one that caused the snow. You don't know why it's going on, man. Some days you wake, you know what's so crazy? Around the winter time, you'll go to sleep, it don't be no snow. You wake up, it's 8 in overnight. He the one calls it the snow.

Israel 17. He cast forth his ice like morsels. He stand He can't stand before his cold. Who can stand before his cold? Who can? It be times I can't stand it.

It get so cold outside you can't go outside, man. Though in some states, man, they let him stay on for the whole day. It get so cold. Cuz who can stand before it's cold? Why? Because he's in control of everything.

This is the God that we serve. This God. Israel 18. He sendeth out his word and meltth them. He causeeth his wind to blow. And the waters flow.

He showeth his word unto Jacob. See, he showed his word unto Jacob. And what else? His statutes and his judgments unto Israel. He have not dealt so with any nation. And as for his judgments, they have not known them.

They ain't known them. Praise ye the Lord. So you got to praise the Lord. You got to praise the Lord because you know the God that you serve, he's in control of it all. From the weather to the animals to agriculture, everything. Even Even everything about you, he in control of it.

He's in control of. Let's go. Let's go to Ephesians. Let's go to Ephesians the first chapter. Ephesians 1. I started to become more at peace.

More at peace. Cuz if you don't read this Bible, man, your mind will get lost out here in this world. This world will take you to through some things and you'll have some thoughts and you'll be like, "Man, I I don't know how I thought that." But that's how this world have you. Yes, it will, brother. Ephesians 1, everything is according to his will. Everything.

And when you think like that, that's where your peace come in. You know what? I don't know why it happened like that. I'm mad it happened like that, but I know who's in control. And I'm going go over here and I'm going to go pray to him because I know who running the show. That's right.

He said the poor man cried and the Lord heard him and delivered him out of what? All his troules. The poor man cried and the Lord heard him. Ephesians the first chapter and we'll pick it up at verse three. Everything according to his will. We're going to pick it up at verse three.

When you get to Israel, go ahead and read. Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who have blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world. And that's what people got to understand. He was the lamb slain before the foundation of the world, but he already chose us before the foundation of the world. See, you're dealing with a God that can see the future and the past.

That's why he can't make no mistake. If you can go look at the answers to the test, you ain't gonna fail the test is how it go. Beautiful. You see the past and to the praise of the glory. beloved. See, you only accept it because of his grace.

Because it was his grace is the reason why he died on the cross. It was his mercy. And the blood is what brought us back to brought us back at one with Christ. So now we can be accepted. Now we can be accepted. Death don't have dominion over us no more.

You can be accepted. Now go ahead. in this realm. Seven, in whom we have redemption through his blood. See, that's what I was just saying. We can be accepted now.

We have redemption through his blood. Before Jesus died on the cross, it wasn't I don't care what you could have did. You could have moonwalked through here 50,000 times. It wasn't nothing you going to be able to do to get to give eternal life until the blood. The forgiveness of sin according to the riches of his grace. wherein he hath abounded to toward us in all wisdom and prudence.

And see with this book that we read, we abounded with wisdom and being discreet. Yes, we are we are in bounded with it. Now go ahead, Israel. N having made known unto us the mystery of his will. According to his good pleasure which he hath proposed in himself. that in the dispensation of the fullness of times, he might gather together in one all things in Christ.

Because he going to gather us all. And he going to gather us all from all four sides of the world. From all the four corners. Both which are in heaven. Which are in heaven. And which are on earth.

Even in him. All the people who died in Christ, who believe in him, he coming to get you. He coming to get us. But this what we hear for verse 11. and whom al also we have obtained an inheritance. See, we have obtained the inheritance.

What is that inheritance? That crown of life. Everlasting life. We have obtained that inheritance now. We have access to that now. Being predestined according to the purpose of him who workketh all things.

See, we was predestined according to the purpose of him. Who worketh all things. after the counsel of his own will. See, everything is after the council of his will. It's all after his will. It ain't about whether or not you understand what's going on or not, but it's according to his will.

His will. And when you think like that, you can move better. Let's go a little further. Let's go to Psalm 71. Is that it? That's it.

Let's go to Psalm 81. Psalm 71. I mean, the Lord is sweet. He's a sweet God. He's a merciful God. He really is.

But you also got to understand another thing. He's a God that don't play either. He don't play. Death hurt us. Death feel bad to us, man. You just leave to the Lord.

The Lord's eyes. You just sleep. You'll be all right. You'll be all right in his eyes. Psalm 71. And we gonna pick it up at verse one.

Psalm 71. And we'll pick it up at verse one. Psalm 71 and1. Will you pick that? Israel, go ahead and read. In thee, oh Lord, do I put my trust.

Let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness and cause me to escape. Incline thine ear unto me and save me. Be thou my strong habitation where unto I may continually resort. And we all need him as our strong habitation. Without the Lord, we won't make it, y'all.

That's right. We can't make it without the Lord, y'all. It's just not going to happen. Then commandment to save you. See, he gave you these commandments to save you. For thou art my rock and my fortress.

Deliver me, oh my God. See, how can the Lord deliver you? He can deliver you is because he the one that allowed it. He the one that allowed you to go through them troules probably took. So that's why the Lord got to be the one to deliver you out of your trouble. Can't nobody else help you.

Nobody. That's why he said, "Deliver me, oh my God. Deliver me from where?" Go ahead. Out of the hand of the wicked. Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. See, the Lord is the one that's going to have to deliver you out of that.

Cuz he's the one that bring evil. He the one that bring the good. So it's going to take for him to deliver you out of your troubles. It's so tough for trying to call your your your friend and talk to her about all your problems. You need to just get on your knees and pray to the Lord. That's what we got to do.

We can go to our voice about what we go. problems we we got. But it's only one person that's going to deliver us. And go ahead. By my youth. And hither too have I declare thy wondrous work.

Now also when I am old and gayheaded God, forsake me not. See, even when you get old and gray, you don't want the Lord to forsake you. No, sir. David said, "Forsake me not." Even when I get old and gayheaded, I figured it's got to be David because the Lord didn't make it to see no gray hairs. So, it's got to be David. until I have showed thy strength unto this generation.

And thy power to everyone that is to come. Thy righteousness also, oh God, is very high. Thy righteousness is very high. Who has done great things? Oh God, who is like unto thee. And that's what I be telling people.

Who you going to compare him to? Who is like unto thee? What you praying to the God of Buddha? What you praying to the son of God? Well, who you praying to? Who is like unto thee?

Israel 20. Thou which has shown me great and sore troules. See this what he did. See he showed me great and sore troubles. So I done been through some troubles. He showed me great and sore troubles.

Shall quicken me again. And shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth. Thou shalt increase my greatness and comfort me on every side. See, he the one that take you through the sore troubles and then look, he bring you out of the sore troubles and he bless you and cause you to prosper. See, the Lord do that. The Lord do that.

We got a couple examples in the B in the Bible. He brought the guy all the way down and brought him all the way back up and brought him all the way back up. Cuz when the Lord is with you, who can be against you? Who can be against you? Is that it, Israel? Let's go a little further.

Let's go to Isaiah 46. He might bring you all the way down. He might bring a lot of trouble in your life, but guess what? He'll bring you all the way back up, too. All the way back up. He'll bring you all the way back up.

And so, and so that's why I always tell people, don't lose your faith in the Lord. Cuz once you lose your faith, you lost him. But as long as you still got your faith, yes, he going to bring you out of your troubles. Yes, he brought David out of his trouble. David went through way more stuff than we David was a man of war. He brought him out of his trouble.

Let's brag on him a little bit. Let's go to Isaiah 46. We're going to brag on the power I got cuz the Lord had a few things he wanted to say cuz he cuz I don't know what type of God th but but he going but he got some words for you right here. Isaiah 46 and pick it up at verse one. Israel. Bale bows down.

Bale is one of them Babylon. ain't talking about the Babylonian gods, but I'm talking about all the other gods out here that people serve. People People bow down to the sun. They bow down to the moon. They even they they even serve they even worship calves. People worshiping everything that all these gods of Egypt and all this different all these different gods that they serve.

The Lord got something to say about them. They go stupid. Their idols were upon the beast and upon the cattle. Your carriages were heavy laid load. They are a burden to the weary beast. So the Lord is saying, "Look, you y'all basically, in other words, y'all got these statues and y'all bow down to these gods, but guess what?

They got to get carried on horses. They can't even operate by theyself." He said, "And and then you carrying them for nothing. You you you wearing out the beast carrying all these statues that don't mean nothing." He said the burden he said he said they are a burden to the weary beast. They stoop. They bow down together. Look they stoop.

They bow down together. This what you worshiping? They could not deliver the burden. But themselves are gone into captivity. Israel. Hearken unto me, oh house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel.

Which are borne by me from the belly. See, Israel was grounded by God from the belly. We were grounded by God from day one from the belly. Israel which are carried from the womb. You was carried from the womb. And even to your old age I am he.

And even to hory hairs will I carry you. I have made and I will bear. Even I will carry and will deliver you. See that's the only one that can deliver you. He's the only one that can really help you. He said, "I carried you." In other words, I'm your daddy.

I've been taking care of you. All right. To whom will you liken me? Who you going to liken me to? So, the Lord about to pull out his wrap sheet a little bit. Everybody want to pull their wrap sheets out.

The Lord got something to say. He said, "Who you liking me to?" Go ahead, Israel. And make me equal. Who am I equal to? And compare me that we may be like. Is it anybody you want to compare that that can be like me?

Is it anybody you want to compare that can be like me? Six. They lavish gold out of the bag. And weigh silver in the balance. And they weigh the silver in the balance. And hire a gold smith.

And they hire a gold smith. And what he do? And he make it for God. And he making it for God. That's what they doing. They already told you Gentiles sacrif sacrifice unto devils.

They love the gold, the silver, the material things. He said they lavish gold out of the bag. Then they weigh the silver and the balance and hire goldsmith and they make it gold and they and they make a god. And what they do? They fall downhu. They worship.

And this what they do. They fall down. They worship this. What else he say? They bear him up upon the When it's time for you to take him to another worship spot, you got to pick him up and take him to the other spot. He can't pick up himself.

No, he can't. He said they bury him up on the shoulder. They carry him. And set him in his place. And he's standing. How long he going to be there?

From his place shall he not remove. You can leave that statue there for for years. He ain't going nowhere. He ain't talking to you. He don't even know what you say. Nuhuh.

Ain't nothing going on. Yay. One shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble? Look how ain't nobody about to save you. But this what he had to say. Verse eight, go ahead.

Israel, remember this and show yourselves men. Bring it again to my oh ye transgressor. He said, look, I want y'all to rethink this through. All these little false gods y'all bowing to, y'all might not I might need to revisit this. You need to bring That's why the Lord said you need to bring this back to mine. Oh ye transgressors.

Verse nine. But he about to pull out his wrap sheet though. Verse N. Remember the former things of old. For I am God. See I remember the former things of old.

The things that ain't even happened yet. I already remember that of old. Israel. And there is none else. Look, there ain't nobody else. I am God.

And there is none like me. What else he do? declaring the end from the beginning. He declared the end from the beginning. This the God we serve. And from ancient times, the things that are not yet done.

From ancient times, the things that ain't even done yet. Saying, "My counsel shall stand." My counsel shall stand. And I will do all my pleasure. And I'm going to do all the things that's pleasing to me. Israel, calling the ravenous burn from the east. The man that executed my counselor from a far country.

Yay. I have spoken it. I will also bring it to pass. I have proposed it. I will also do it. He said, I have purposed it.

I will also do it. Israel. 12. Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted. That are far from righteousness. I bring near my righteousness.

It shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not turn. See, hey, my salvation ain't waiting on nobody. It's coming with me. That's why he said, he said, "Behold, I come quickly and my reward is with me." Yes, sir. To give every man accord shall be. You go to work, you get paid, don't you?

But if you didn't get paid, you wouldn't go to work. Same thing here. And I will place salvation in Zion. He said, "I'm going to place salvation in Zion." Go ahead. For Israel is my glory. Israel is my glory.

So the Lord had to pull his bracket out a little bit. Y'all talking about all these false gods and what's going on. But let me tell you something. I remember the former things of hope. I don't need We don't have to pick the Lord up and walk him around. He's a God.

That's right. He's a powerful. He's the most powerfulst thing in the world. That's who we serve, y'all. Let's go look at the title of the lesson. Let's go to Isaiah 45.

Just jump back three pages, two pages. Let's go look at the title to the lesson. Isaiah 45 and we'll pick it up at verse We'll pick it up at verse 5. Isaiah 45 and we'll pick it up at verse 5. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. I am the Lord and there is none else.

There is no God beside me. And I wish the world understand that. The world has to understand that there is no other god besides him. I girded thee. Though thou hast not known me. He said, look, I girded I girded you even though you ain't even known me.

Israel six. That they may know from the rising of the sun and from the west. That there is none beside me. I am the Lord. And there is none else. Verse seven.

This what we here for. What do you do? I formed the light. See, I'm the one that formed the light. I'm the one that formed the light. You I'm talking about the the physical light and the spiritual light.

I formed the light. And create darkness. I create darkness. I make peace. And create evil. See, a lot of people don't say that.

A lot of people don't want to hear that. Everybody just think he all sweet and cuddly. Jesus love everybody. A part of me I would say Jesus I mean a lot of people don't say that but I feel like Jesus loved you enough to die for the sins of you. So he love you. But he not going to play with you.

He not going to play with you. Just because he love you don't mean it that don't mean nothing. He'll still get you. That's why he said what verse say? He said I form the light. I create darkness.

I make peace and create evil. I the Lord do all these things. See, I the Lord do all these things. This where we get the title of the lesson from. This the title of the lesson. Now, let's go a little further.

Let's go to First Thessalonians the 5th chapter. 1 Thessalonians the 5th chapter. He said, "I the Lord I do all these things." Yes. So, we know who in control. We know first Thessalonians and we'll pick it up at verse 5. First Thessalonians and we'll pick it up at verse 5.

First Thessalonians 5. We'll pick it up at verse 14. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. Now we exhort you, brethren. Warn them that are unruly. Comfort the feeble-minded.

Support the weak. Be patient toward all men. And that's what we got to be. See, cuz us with the us having the word and the understanding now, we got more patience. We know how to deal with this life a little better than people who don't who don't read this word, right? We know how to deal with it.

That's why when the Lord is in control of anything, we got to give thanks in all circumstances. Even if things not going right in your life, we got to give thanks in all circumstances. Cuz we know cuz we already know who who controlling the road. Ain't I mean, if you want to get mad at somebody, that's who we going to have to get mad at. But you want But you really want to go to war with him? No, sir.

That's what I asked. So, we got to give thanks in all circumstances. 15. See that none render evil for evil unto any man. But ever follow that which is good. See, we got to continue to follow that which is good.

Even when things are going bad. He said, "Follow." He said, "Follow that which is good." Go ahead, Israel. Both among yourselves and to all men. But go this what we here for. Rejoice ever more. Pray without ceasing.

See, you got to rejoice ever more. And sometimes rejoicing, you going to have to rejoice through your through your through through your uh through your tribulations. You gonna have to rejoice through that. That's why he said, "Rejoice ever more. Pray without ceasing." And what else we got to do? In everything give thanks.

You got to give thanks. Man, my tire went flat. Lord, thank you. Praise the Lord. Cuz it could have been worse. Could have been worse.

My life bill 200. I thought it was 125. I got to pay an extra $75. Thank you, Lord. Cuz it could have been worse. I know.

I know that burn me a little bit. Keep real with you, but it could have been worse. He said, "In everything give thanks." Go ahead. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Didn't we just say it's all according to his will? Yes, he did.

This is the will of the Lord. This is all according to his will. Now, let's go deal with Job because I told y'all he bring the troubles in your life, but then he bring you all the way back out of the trouble. Yes, he does. And we got and we got an example for everything in this life in this book. Everything we going everything we be having going on going on in life.

There's an example in the book. The Lord took away the cloak. We ain't got no excuse, y'all. Anything we need to know, any understanding we need to get this right here in this book. All you got to do is read. They said the main things I hear from a black man in a book.

You want to hire something from a black man, put it in the book. Cuz the black man don't like to read. That's how they do us. Job one cuz we going to show you Job 1 and one. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. There is a man in the land of whose name was Job.

And that man was perfect and upright and one that feared God and ensued evil. And we also got to understand before we continue this lesson, Job was a perfect man for the Lord, right? Job didn't really have to I'm not saying Job was Job was perfect before the Lord. Of course, no man is without sin, but Job was perfect in the eyes of the Lord. He was perfect in the eyes of the Lord. So when So this what So you got to ask yourself this.

Why trouble coming for you and you perfect? Why trouble come for you and you and you perfect? If you doing everything the Lord say, you feel like trouble don't supposed to come. Well, we going to see if that's the case. We just going to see if that's the case cuz it said Job was a perfect man, perfect and upright, and one that fear of God and shoe of evil. Israel two.

And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. So he So Job had 10 kids. Did 10 kids. Israel. His substance also was 7,000 sheep and 3,000 camels and 500 yoga boxes and 500 she asses and very great household. So that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

See he was the richest man in the east. See the Lord take care of his servants. You got to think riches and honor is with the Lord. So he take care of his people. So Job was sitting pretty. Job was stacked up.

Israel four. And his sons went and feasted in their housesu everyone his day. And sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. So they know, you know, Job had 10 kids and they and all and they uh and the kids, you could tell they got along pretty well. They got along pretty well. It was and it was so when the days of their feasting were going about that Job sent to sanctify them and rose up early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all.

For Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their heart." Thus did Job continue. See the Lord See the Lord even See Job even Job even went for his kids. He even did this for his kids. did sacrifice for his children. Lord, forgive my family. Job was Job was standing on his whole house.

He was really like that. It said, "Thus did Job continually." Yes, sir. They probably was in there doing something they had no business doing. Let me go pray to the Lord for him. That's the type of man he was. So, he feared the Lord with all his heart.

We can see that sir, by his action. But now, go ahead, Israel. But watch this, though. Six. Now, there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord. So, the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord.

And we gonna learn something on our way learning something. A lot of people think that Satan is considered one of the sons of God. Well, this verse right here is going to show you Satan is not a son of God. He's not. Start that back in verse six. Now, there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord.

So, the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord. But who else was with them? And Satan came also among them. That was a big separation right there. That's a big old separation. So the sons of God came and and Satan came among them.

So when they tried to say the sons of God, the daughters of men and cut it, cut it out because the sons of God can't be wicked. You can't be a son of God and be wicked at the same time. That's not the same title. Come on now. He said it was a day that came to present themselves before the Lord. Verse seven.

Israel. And the Lord said unto Satan, "Go ahead. When comest thou?" Go ahead. Then Satan answered the Lord and said, "From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it." So you got to think when it's time for the angels to come report to the Lord, the sons of God, they come and report to them, they get their job. They get their duty. The Lord sent them to do their thing.

Satan, he got to come and check in, too. That's why I be trying to tell people. Satan Satan got to check in with the Lord, too. Yes, he do. He can't just do what he want. N that's why he said what he said Satan where you where you come from.

That's why he asked him that. He said from going to and fro in the earth and walking up and down in it. Israel. Hey. And the Lord said unto Satan, "Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fear God and ensure evil." Because you got to think, Satan got kicked out of the heavens. Satan lost his position in the heavens.

So now, so now the Lord putting it in his face a little bit. You seen my servant Job over there? How he how he feared God and and how he's standing on me? He had to let it be known. But go ahead, Israel. Nice.

Then Satan answered the Lord and said, "Do Job fear God for not?" So Satan told the Lord, "Job don't fear you for nothing. He don't fear you for no reason." Right? What else he say? Hast not thou made at hedge about him and about his house and about all that he hath on every side. Thou hast blessed the work of his hands and his substance is increased in the land. He said, man, look you look you you got a heads around him.

Look at him. You spoiling the boy. That's basically what he's saying. You over there spoiling the boy. Of course. Of course he Yeah.

Look what you doing. But what what but what did he say? But put forth thine hand now and touch all that he has and he will curse thee to thy face. Satan said, "But I bet if you put your hands on him, I bet he'll curse you to your face." That's how Satan talk. That's why he going in the lake of fire. That's how you talk to your creator.

That's why he going in the lake of fire. He said, he said, he said, "But he said, but put forth thy hand and touch what he got, and I bet he cursed thee to thy face." What the Lord say? 12 and the Lord said unto Satan, "Behold, all that he hath is in thy power." So he like, "Look, you know what? Go ahead and go ahead and bust him up a little bit." Right? All that he have is in is in thy power, but I got one I got one commandment for you. Upon himself, put not for thine hand.

Don't Don't try to take his life. Don't Don't do that part. Now, you can bring him down a little bit, but don't touch him. Don't Don't try to take his life. No, sir. And you think he could have did it?

No. Because it's a commandment from the Lord. I said you can bring him a little trouble, but you better not do don't do too much. I'm putting a limit on what you can do. Because who controlling the streams? The Lord is the Lord is controlling the streams.

He said, "Behold, all that he have is in thy power only upon himself putting thou forth thine hand." Go ahead, Israel. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. And you know Satan got him straight busy. He going to get busy, right? He's going to get straight busy.

Let me see what's up. Israel 13. And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house. So they know they, like I said, the it look like the brothers and sisters, they got along real well. See, when you a man that fear the Lord, you raise your kids up, you raise them up in in in the right way, they won't part. They won't part.

So he said they was drinking wine. They was enjoying theel. Then what happened? 14. And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oson were blind, and the asses feeding beside them. And the saviors fell upon them, and took them away.

Yay. They have slain the serpents with the edge of the sword, and I only am escaped alone to tell. So, you know, you know, Jo, his ox got robbed. They came and slave. They came, they came in there, and they slayed the men with the sword and they took the oxen. They took them all.

16 of them. While he was yet speaking, there came another also another. See, once the Lord told Satan, go ahead. Just don't touch him personally. Once he told him that, man, I'm talking about immediately already bringing trouble on him. Yes, he did.

He just heard about one problem, he got another problem coming. He ain't even knowing it's coming. He's still listening to this problem. And said the fire of God is falling from heaven. You know who? You know who can bring fire from heaven?

That's what Satan can do. Satan does that. He going to do it again. And he going to do it again in uh around that time of the uh the abomination of desolation. He going to do it again. They going to make fire come from heaven.

Fire come out the sky. And have burned up the sheep. They burnt up the sheep. And the servants. And the servants and the servants. They consumed them.

And I only am alone to tell thee. And then what happened? Keep going, Israel. While he was just speaking, there came also another and said, "The Calaldans made three men and fell upon the camel and have carried them away. Yay. And slain the servants with the edge of the sword and I only have escaped alone to tell them." Because you got to think the servant is the one that's guarding these animals.

So they coming in knocking off the servants and taking the animals. They doing both. He said, "Don't touch Jo." You said, "Don't kill his cousin, his friend, his servant." Right? So he took he taking out his servants. Verse 18, go ahead, Israel. While he was yet speaking, there came also another and said, "Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house." See, now it's about to get a little partial.

Now you already you already messing with the with the animals, but now it's about to get a little deep. 19. And behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness. So a great wind came from the wilderness. And what happened? And spoke to both corners of the house.

And it fell upon the young men. And what happened? And they are dead. And I only I escape alone to tell thee. Now let this would have been one of us. We probably would have been in the closet grabbing the guns out the closet ready to ride on whatever is going on.

We would have been ready to roll. That's right. Even the people in the world when stuff like this happen, they don't know what to do next. They don't know what to do. You ready to ride down the street and and and get into it with the first person you see. But let me show you what Job did.

20 Then Job arose. So Job arose and what he do? And rent his man. He rent his man. And saved his head. And fell down upon the ground and worshiped.

And he worshiped. And immediately soon as after all these troubles was coming upon him. He went straight to the source. Job ain't waste no time. And he he fell on the ground and he worshiped. And what happened is what he say?

21 and said naked came out out of my mother's womb and naked I return. Look what he said. Naked I came out of my mother womb. I ain't had nothing when I came in this world and I ain't going to have nothing when I leave. No sir. That's the type of mentality you got to have serving this God.

That's the type of mentality we got to have. We got to have that type of mentality. The material things can't get to us like that. The Lord gave. The Lord gave and what he do? And the Lord has taken away.

See, he blamed it on the Lord. Cuz he knew who it was. He said, "The Lord gave and the Lord take away." What else, Israel? Blessed be the name of the Lord. The Lord going to give. The Lord is going to be the one to take away.

But he's saying, "Blessed be the name of the Lord." What happened in verse 22? Did he say, "Why do I serve this God? Why did he did he curse God or what happened?" Go ahead. And all this Job sin not. Nor charge God foolishness. He didn't even charge God foolish.

No, sir. He didn't do it. Nope. He didn't even do it. And you got to understand Job was a perfect man. He was doing right.

They let you know it don't matter if you're doing right or not. When trouble come your way, it's your time to deal with it. It's your time to deal with it. You got to take it straight to him. When trouble come your way, you got to deal with it. Let's go in Job the second chapter.

Let's go to Job 2. Job 2. We going to pick it up at verse one. Job knew the Lord was in control of it all. That's why he ran his mantle and fell on the ground and got to worshiping. That's why he could have been like, "Well, go get all the other bring everything else in.

Come on. Get out. Get everything else in here for something else mess up." He like, "No, we going straight to the Lord." Job two. We gonna pick it up in verse one. You get to Israel. Go ahead and read again.

There was a day when the sons of God came to present him and Satan came also among them. See? So, so, so the first, so that little first incident, Satan didn't Satan didn't really get to Job. He didn't really get to him. And this is also in our life. We got to be careful because sometimes he'll try to go a little deeper.

Sometimes he'll hit you and you probably won't you probably won't budge, but he'll come back and he'll hit you with a low blow. So watch how he played this out. He said again, there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord. And who else came with him? And Satan came also on Monday. To present himself before the Lord cuz he got to he got to check in too.

Got to check in. Everybody got it's like this like LA. You got to check in. You got to check in with the Lord. Israel two. And the Lord said unto Satan, from whence cometh down thou where you come from, man?

Where you where you been at? That's like your boss asking you, where you been? Israel. And Satan answered the Lord and said, from going to and fro in the earth and from walking up and down in it. And the Lord said unto Satan, "Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fear of God, and is sue of evil. And still he have he holding fast his integrity." So he really up here.

He really up there treating him like a little like a punching bag. You see what you did to him and he kept his intercept. He's still keeping He's still serving. That's right. He's still fearing. He really throwing all this in Joel face.

I mean uh in Satan face. Israel. Although thou movest me against him. So you look you you trying to move me against him. To destroy him without cause. And Satan answered the Lord and said skin for skin.

Yay. All that a man hath will he give for his life. So basically Satan was like, man, this let me touch his skin. Let me touch him. At first you told me to touch. I couldn't touch him.

I only could touch everything around him. Now Satan like, "No, let me touch him." Yeah. Sometimes trouble come in your life and you feel like, "All right, okay. I got some chill time." And it come right back and it get worse. He said, "Let me touch him." Go ahead, Israel. All right.

But put forth thine hand now. And touch his bone and his flesh. He said, "But I guarantee you if you put forth your hand and touch his bone and his flesh, what he going to do, Israel, go ahead. He will curse thee to thy face." But what did the Lord say to him? And the Lord said unto Satan, "Behold, he is in thine hand." Uhhuh. But save his life.

You better not kill him. Go ahead and do what you got to do, but you better not kill him. You better not kill him. Cuz the Lord would have raised him back up anyway because he got the power to do that. Yes, he did, brother. But he said, "You better not kill him." And Jo and Satan going to follow the orders.

Seven. So when Satan forthought from the presence of the Lord and smoke Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his craft. So So he so he smoked he smoked Jo with these. So Job had boils all over his body. And the boils was like they was it was like pus coming out the boils and everything. It was real nasty.

And he took him a pot shard to scrape himself with all man. I bet that had to hurt, man. That had to hurt. He took apart shirt and scraped himself with all. And he sat down among the ashes. Then said his wife unto him, "Dust thou still retain thine integrity?" Cuz you know, you know, you know sometimes you might have somebody that's a little weaker than you.

So she like, "Hey, so you going like like look, you see what's going on with you, man? Are you still trying to retain that integrity?" What she say? Curse God and die. You better curse God and die cuz you about to die. That's basically what she's saying. But this going to show you even when everything seem wrong.

Even when you at the bottom of the totem pole. Even when you feel like you ain't even got no more air, no more breath to breathe. Let me tell you what Job said. Verse 10. But he said unto her, "Thou speakest as one, the foolish woman speaking." See, you speaking like a foolish woman speaking. That speak like basic my face.

What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God? And shall we not receive evil? And all this did did not Job sin with his lip. See, he still didn't sin. No, sir.

We got to learn that. Even when we at the bottom of the totem pole, we got to still know who in control. He said the Lord the Lord the Lord the one that's going to bring the evil. You going to receive evil or you going to receive good. That's just how the ball That's just how the ball can't go. 11 Now with Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came everyone from his own place.

Elas the Timite and Bad the Shunite the Shuite and Zofar the Namite the Namothite. The Namothite. For they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. So Job had his three friends. So they like, "Man, you know, you know, you hear about your friend being sick, you want to go check on him, make sure you're all right. You want to bring him some comfort." But what happened?

Israel 12. And when they lifted up their eyes a far off. So they, you know, they looked at him from a distance. And what happened? And knew him not. They lifted up their voice and wept.

And they ripped everyone his mantle and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven. Man, I never this this right here remind me of the time my best friend died of AIDS. I had a friend that died of AIDS. He he was born with it from the womb. But when he had got when he had gotten like 26 27 years old cuz he was really majority of time healthy his whole life. But when he got to his older ages, man, when we went to go visit him in the nursing home, it's it looked like I was looking at a skeleton.

I never seen nobody face. All your skin gone, all your meat gone. was just he looked at like a skeleton shoulder blade sharp man make you on the cross. So I know I know this feeling of when you going when you seeing somebody used to being one way and they don't even look like that no more. But what happened? Verse 16.

Israel. So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days. Seven nights. And none spake a word unto him. For they saw that his grief was very great. Man, when I got in there, I couldn't even say nothing.

I just sat there. Sometimes you just got to sit there. But even when even when Job was at his lowest, he didn't sin against the Lord. No, sir. He didn't sin against him. And I didn't put it in a lesson, but the Lord restored him everything he had times 10.

Gave him everything he had. Yes, he did. Gave him everything back. Because this is the God that might bring you all the way down in your trouble, but he'll bring you all the way back up. And we got Job as that example. But let's go to Jeremiah the 17th chapter.

Let's go to Job I mean Jeremiah 17. Bring it all the way back. Bring you all the way back. Jeremiah 17 and we'll pick it up at verse 5. Jeremiah 17 and 5. We got to prove that we worthy.

Job proved that he was worthy. The Lord took everything from him. Hit him. Hit him with a sickness and with a disease and brought him all the way back. Brought him all the way back from the mud. Yes, he did, brother.

He proved himself to be worthy. We got to prove that we worthy. We got to do the same thing. Jeremiah 17, we going to pick it up at verse five. You get that, Israel? Thus said the Lord, cursed be the man that trustth in manuh and maketh flesh his arm and whose heart departed from the Lord.

You got you got people, they love the doctors. They trust in a nurse. They trust in them. Said, "Cursed be the man that trusteth in the man." Go ahead, Israel. For he shall be like the heath in the desert. And shall not see when good cometh.

but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness and exalt land and not inhabit it and not inhabit it. Blessed is the man that trustth in the Lord and whose hope the Lord is the hope. The Lord is the Lord is our hope. That's all our hope. He said, "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord." Verse eight, go ahead. Israel, what it going to be like?

For he shall be as a tree planted by the water. and that spread spreadth out her roots by the river. See the Lord compare us to trees like a tree grow and a tree blossom and spring forth. Yes, that's how we supposed to be. We supposed to grow. We supposed to spring forth in his word.

That's how we supposed to be. And shall not see when he cometh. But her leaf shall be green. Her leaf shall be green. And shall not be careful in the year of drought. Neither shall cease from yielding fruit proof.

You ain't going to want for nothing when you dealing with this guy. No sir. It ain't too much you going to want for. Yeah, you going to go through some things, but you ain't going to want for nothing. Verse nine. Israel.

The heart is deceitful above all things. And desperately wicked. Who can know it? This all came from the heart. Well, it don't need to come from the heart. Cuz he said the heart is deceitful in all things.

Got to watch what comes from the heart. Got to watch that. Sometimes the heart is deceitful in all things and desperately wicked. Who can know it? Israel 10. I the Lord searched the heart.

See, I searched the heart. I tried the rain. See, that's what I was saying. Even with Job, he tried the rains. I searched the heart. I'm the one that tried the rings.

We can't hide nothing from the Lord. No, we can't, brother. He don't even go He go off of how he go off of the spirit. He go off what we think and what's in our heart. I search the heart. I try to raise.

And what else he do? He to give every man according to his ways. See, I'mma give you according to your ways. You going to be repaid for your ways. You ain't putting no work in, you ain't getting nothing. If you put the work in, you going to get something.

And according to the fruit of his doing. And according to the fruit of his doings. The Lord is the one that try to hard. He tried to raise. That's why you got to prove yourself. Is you worthy or not?

Are you good? Let's go a little further. Let's go to St. Matthew the 10th chapter. Let's go to St. Matthew 10.

Let's go to St. Matthew the 10th chapter. St. Matthew 10 cuz we got Jesus as our example. We And we also got the disciples as our example, too. St.

Matthew 10. And we going to pick it up at verse 16. You got to prove you got to prove your worth. You got to prove your worth because at the end of the because at the end of the day when it's all said and done, regardless of the evil times come, troubleless times come, you still got to be accepted. You got to be accepted. So you going to have to go through the fire.

You going to have to go through the fire a little bit. If you think if you think you about to come in the word and you just think everything going to be peaches and cream, the Lord cannot have you dwelling in the godhead family with him. He don't know how and he don't know what you've been through. He don't know nothing about you. That's like bringing somebody in your house you don't even know him. You ain't going to bring nobody in your house you don't know them.

You got to learn these people. The Lord got to learn you. Are you for me? You got to prove your loyalty. You can't just go hop in the crew with somebody else. You got to prove yourself.

Jeremiah uh uh where Jeremia I mean say Matthew 10. Say Matthew 10. And we'll pick it up at verse 16. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harm as dove.

So the Lord talking to his disciples. He letting them know, look, I'm sending you out there like sheep. You going out there to the wolves. So the Lord is preparing his disciples. You better get ready for some troubles at times. Y'all better get ready.

He said, I want you to be wise as a serpent. Cuz the serpent is wise. That's why Satan is called a serpent. Because Satan is wise. Wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove. Israel 17.

But beware of men. See, we Hold on. Say that again. But beware of men. That's what you got to beware of in this life. You got to beware of the same person that breathe like you breathe.

You got to beware of that person. Beware of man. For they will deliver you up in the counsel, and they will store you in their synagogue. Are you ready to go through all this? See the Lord like I got to take you through some things. I got to take you through some things.

Israel 18. And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake. For a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But will they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak, for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak. See, I allow you up. I'm the one that allowed them to deliver you up.

So don't worry about what's going on cuz I'mma give you what to say. I'm in control of it all. Don't worry about what you going to say. Don't even let it bother you cuz I'm running the show. 20 For it is not you that speak. It's not you that speak, but who is it?

But the spirit of your father speak in you. That's what's going to speak. That's what's going to speak for you. That's why the servants are able to have peace. This will bring us our peace. Israel 21.

And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death and the father the child and the children shall rise up against their parents and cause them to be put to death. See, the word is going to cause separation. That word of God is going to cause separation. So he telling these disciples, you better get ready for this. Y'all got to get ready for this. Is that verse 20?

Okay, read that verse 22. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. You got to be ready. You going to be hated of all men for my name's sake. But go ahead. But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

See, but if you keep it going, if you hold on, if you don't give up on me, you going to be saved. I'm letting you know it's going to get rough. I'm telling you now. But he said, if you don't give up on me, you going to be saved. Skip on down to verse 32 and go ahead, friend. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him shall will I confess also before my father which is in heaven.

You want to deny me, I'mma deny you. You confess me, I confess you. 33. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven. Think not that I have come to send peace on earth. He said, look, look, I ain't come to send peace on earth.

What am I saying? I came not to send peaceuh but a sword. See, the Lord is the one. I ain't coming to send peace on the earth. I'm coming to bring a sword. That's the Lord that's causing this.

35. For I am come to set a man that bear against his father. And a daughter against her mother. And a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's f shall be they of his own household. Man, you about to go through some things.

You better get ready. The ones that hate you, they going to be of your own household. Are you ready? That's what he telling. That's what he telling these disciples. Y'all got to get up and ready cuz I'm about to allow these things to come upon you.

He's telling them I'm allowing it to come upon you, but I got your back. Ain't that something? I'm allowed to come. But look, I got you. I got you. You'll be all right.

Like when your son My son was getting his haircut. He was getting the line up. I sat him down. Boy, he felt like I was leaving him. Like I'm like, "No, I got you." But you gonna feel that. You gonna feel that pain on that line.

He felt it, too. He said, "A man's f of his own household." Go ahead. Israel 37. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me. And he that loveth his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. See, you got to show your worth.

You got to show your worth. See, when you stand in front of the Lord, he want to know, are you worth it? Are you worth going to the right with me or to the left, to the left, to the lake of fire. Which one you going? Which way you going? Say you he say you want to put her you want to put your mama above me, you want to put your your sister, whatever above me.

He said, "You ain't worthy of me." You got to show your worth. Everybody got to work out their own salvation with what? Israel 38 and he that taketh not his cross and follow up after me is not worthy of me. He that not taketh up with you, you got to take up your cross. It's a daily fight, y'all. You got to pick your cross up every day.

Every day you got to pick it up cuz I'm telling you man, this boy it's hard out here y'all. It get hard out here. And he take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Verse 39. Now go ahead Israel. He that findeth his life shall lose it.

See when you find your life you going to lose it with Christ. Cuz he got to cuz he got a sin and you got a sin. You got to think less of yourself and think more of what his desire is. And he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. You lose your life. You get rid of the old you.

You get rid of your old self. Now you walking in the newness of life. about your life now. Now you're about yourself. That's what the Lord is saying. Read that verse 40.

He that receiveth you receiveth me. And he that re that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. And he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. Jesus name. Now, let's go to St. Let's go to St.

John the 20th chapter. Let's go to St. John 20. Because the Lord ain't going to have you do nothing. He didn't do. The Lord went through persecution, affliction.

He went through it. He already had went through it. The Lord showed he was worthy. But he completed the mission. He completed the mission. All he had to wait on to do was to be accepted.

He didn't came. He done came into the world. He didn't healed the sick. He done fulfilled the things that were written. He done died on the cross. He was in the grave for three days and three nights.

He rose out the grave. He rose up with all power. And now it's now after all the author everything the Lord went through. All he had to do in the end was what? Be accepted because he's found worthy. And that's what we got to do.

We got to go through the turmoil. We got to go through things in life. And we got to come out on top so we can be accepted. Let's go to St. John the 20th chapter. St.

John 20, the Lord is our example. You ain't get you ain't get beat with whips. You ain't had no nail through your hand. You ain't die for people that don't really care about you. You ain't have to do that. So, he went through way more trouble than us.

St. John 20. We going to pick it up at verse one. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early when it was yet dark. See, when it was yet dark, we know, we know the Lord go even in the evening.

We know that. So, right when So, right when it got pure, got right when it right at the beginning of the first day of the week, Jesus was already gone. Already gone. Jesus was already gone. So, so much for sunrise service. Ain't no sunrise service.

Jesus was gone. Ain't no sun Where the sun at? They said it was yet dark. And he was already gone. Israel unto the separate and seeketh and seeth the stone taken away from the separate and they seen the stone taken away from the separate. This is the beginning of the first day of the week.

The the crack at the beginning. So if it's the beginning of the first day of the week, he was already gone. He left when? On the Sabbath day. He rose on the Sabbath day. If he already gone and it's the crack of the first day of the week, he he rolls on the Sabbath.

It's just that simple. Two. Then she runth and cometh to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, they have taken away the Lord out of separate, and we know not where they have laid here. So, so you know, they looking for the Lord because you got to think of all the things they seen. They seen the Lord get tortured, hung on the cross, beat, falsely accused. He dealt with all that.

Yes, he did. But we but we but we here for a specific reason. Israel three. Peter therefore went forth and that other disciple and came to the separate. So they ran both together and the other disciple did outrun Peter and came first to the separate and he stooping down and looking in saw the linen clothes lying. Yet went he not in.

Israel. Then cometh Simon Peter following him and went into the sepre and see if the linen clothes lie because you know Peter got the keys of the kingdom so nobody going to walk in there till Peter walked in there first. He left Peter with the keys of the king. So then what happened? Israel seven. And the napkin that was about his head not lying with the uplending clothes but wrapped together in a place by itself.

Then went also that other disciple which came first to the separ and he saw and believed when he saw he believed immediately when he saw. For as yet they knew not the scripture that he must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again unto their own home. So they went away again unto their own home. But read verse 11. But Mary stood without as weeping.

And as she wept, she stooped down and looked into the step and seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head and the other at the feet where the body of Jesus had laying. So she was crying about. So when she end up looking back in the sea, she s she see two angels sitting one at the head at the and at the foot. And these are the cherub angels because if you remember in the garden of Eden, the Lord placed flaming swords on each side of the tree of life to keep the way of the tree of life. That represent the chair of angels. That's why if you ever look if you ever look at the temple and you ever look at the at the ark of the covenant and how things are, them two chair of angels, they sit over it and the mercy seat sit right in the middle.

That represents heaven. That's how it is in heaven. The Lord travel with these two angels on the side of him everywhere he go. And they got four faces. We just read about it last week. Obadia just read about it.

Them is them cherub angels. They follow the Lord wherever he go. Wherever he go, go ahead, Israel. 13 And they said unto her, woman, why weepest thou? So the angels basically asked, "What's what's up with you? What you weeping for?

Go ahead, Israel." She saith unto them, because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. And when she had thus said, she turned herself back and saw Jesus standing and knew not that it was Jesus. Because you got to understand, now that Jesus has rose and become God, he rose with all power. So now that he rose with all power, a spiritual angel, a righteous angel, they can come in the form of they can they can change their image. They don't have to look like exactly exactly an angel. They can look like a man.

They can. I don't know how it go on. Don't ask me. You wait till you see the Lord and you ask him. I don't know. But I'm all I know is when she looked, she knew not that it was Jesus.

Israel 15 Jesus said to her, uh, "Woman, why weepst thou?" Uhhuh. Who seekest thou? She supposed to him to be the gardener. So he disguised himself. He's in disguise right now. He's disguising himself.

She's supposed him to be a gardener. Saith unto him, "Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away." So, she's basically telling them like, "Where where is he at? I'll get him out of here for you." Yeah. Where is he? Tell me where he at. I'll get him out of here.

Mary was a rider. She was a rider. She was. Israel 16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself and saith unto him Raboni which is to say master. So she already knew she already know his voice.

So when so when he said Mary she turned and she and she uh she said Raboni which is to say master go ahead but this is what we here for. We here for verse 17. What did he say? Jesus said unto her touch me not. Why? For I have not yet ascended to my father.

He said look don't touch me yet cuz I got to complete the mission. I didn't came. I done died for the sins of the people. I didn't dealt with persecution. I didn't dealt with tribulation. The Lord was weeping the whole time he was walking the earth.

So, he dealt with sorrow and pain. But he told her, "Look, don't touch me yet, though, cuz I still got to be accepted." Amen. We all got to be accepted. Yes, we do, brother. He said, "So touch me not, for I have not yet ascended unto my father." Go ahead, Israel. But go to my brethren.

"But go to my brethren." Go ahead. And say unto them, go ahead. I ascend unto my father and your father. See, I ascend unto my father and your father. And to my God and your God. And I send unto my God and your God.

See, cuz we got to also understand just like Jesus rose with all power and went right back to the to the right hand of the father after the millennium period, we going to be right there with the father on the eighth day. It go hand in hand. That's when the mission is complete. Is that it, Israel? That's it. Let's go a little further.

Let's go to St. Matthew the 5th chapter. Let's go to St. Matthew 5. St. Matthew 5.

That's our prime example. So, when you going through things, just know just get through it. Get through it. Just get through it. St. Matthew 5, we going to pick it up at verse verse 38.

St. Matthew 5 and we going to pick it up at verse 38. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. Ye heard that it has been said, an eye for an eye, Uhhuh. and a tooth for a tooth. But I say unto you that ye resist not evil, but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

I ain't got that far yet, but hopefully I'll get there one day. I'm I'm trying to get there. Might be on my cheek, though. Hey, we got Hey, you know what? Let's keep going. And if any man would sue thee Uhhuh.

at the law and take away thy coat, let it have thy cloak also. Lord saying, look, just let him have it all. If he trying to take one thing, get the whole thing. In other words, it's what the Lord is saying. He basically saying just turn the cheek. Turn the cheek.

Israel 41. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain, give to him that askketh thee, go ahead. And from him that would borrow of thee, turn not thou away. Ye have heard that it have been said, thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, love your enemies. Bless them that curse you.

See, that's what we got to do. We have to learn to be at peace. We have to learn to be at peace when God is in control. We got to learn that y'all. It get hard. I know it.

I know it do. It's It say He said, "But I say unto you, love your enemies. Bless them that curse you." We got to be at peace when we know God is in control in all situations. So, when this is a situation where we getting where we dealing with where we getting cursed or or where we getting persecuted, man, hey, we still we got to learn to still be at peace. got to do. Do good to them that hate you.

And pray for them which despitefully use you. You know, sometime we ain't never thought about praying for somebody that really don't like us. But that's what the Lord is saying. Pray for him. Jonah didn't. No, he didn't.

Jonah wanted NA to go down. He wasn't trying to pray for him. A matter of fact, he tried to run from the Lord. He said, "Nope, I'm not praying for him. You are not about to take your wrath away." Nope. But he said you got to he said you got to pray for them which despitefully use you.

And persecute you. And and persecute you. Cuz what else? Israel 45. That ye may be the children of your father which is in heaven. See that's the that's the final goal y'all.

That's what we That's what we aiming for. We not dealing with it for no reason. We not we not at peace in letting things go on just for no reason. We ain't doing it for nothing. So that you may be the children of the father which is in heaven. For he maketh his son to rise on the evil and on the good.

See, he maketh his son to rise on the evil and on the good. What else he do? And sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. You know what I mean? Sometimes you might look over there, you like, man, that dude don't read the Bible. He don't got nothing going on with the Lord.

But he always prosper. We got to be at peace. The Lord going to bless the just. He going to bless the unjust. We got to be We just got to be at peace when we know he in control. That's all it is to it.

We know that man has said he he been sending from sun up to sun down and he prosperous. But the Lord going to deal with it. We know that. Is that it? Israel. Let's go a little further.

Let's go to Ecclesiastes 3. Ecclesiastes the third chapter. Everything is on God's time. We all on God's s. Ecclesiastes 3. That's it.

Ecclesiastes the third chapter. Ecclesiastes 3 and we'll pick it up at verse one. Ecclesiastes 3 and we'll pick it up at verse one because it's a time for everything. It's a time and my mom used to always say that, son. It's a time and a place to say everything. But it's it's really a time and a place for everything.

Everything. And and and and and whether it's on your time or not, it's all in God's time. Your time don't mean nothing. It's in God's time. And we going to show you that. Ecclesiastes 3, picking up in verse one.

To everything there is a season. And a time to every purpose under the heaven. See, it's a time to every purpose. To a time to be born and a time to die. And see, us as saints, we know that it's a time to be born. It's a time to die.

A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal. Well, you heard what he said. Listen, you heard what he said. If I'm laying If I'm laying in the house with my daughters and somebody trying to run in my house, hey, it's that time for your partner. It's that time.

That time. He said it's time to kill and it's time to heal. A time to break down and a time to build up because you going to have that. You going to have a time where you get broken down, but you also going to get your time when you get builded up. We just seen that with Jo. Israel for a time to weep and a time to laugh.

A time to mourn and a time to dance. I love when it's time to dance. Lord, I love when it's time to dance. Why? A time to cast away stones. A time to gather stones together.

A time to embrace. a time to refrain from embracing. It's time. It come a time where you need to keep them back 50 ft, right? It's a time to embra What happened to the what happened to the Corona distance. It's It come a time.

It come a time. You got to get like that. Israel say a time to get. It's time to get. And a time to lose. And it's going to be your time.

It's going you gonna have a time where you going to lose. It's not going to be peaches and peaches and cream for you your whole life, man. No, sir. Who you think you are? He said he said it's a time. He said it's a time to get a time to lose.

A time to keep and a time to cast away. A time and a time to sow. It's going to be a time to sew. A time to keep silent, man. It's a Well, please. They need to read that again.

It's a time to keep silence cuz it come a time where we need to be quiet. It come a time where we just need to be quiet. Don't say nothing. He said it's a time to keep silence. Close your mouth. That's what I've been trying to tell myself sometimes.

I do. And a time to speak. And it's going to be a time to speak. A time to love. It's a time to love and a time to hate. A time of war.

And a time of hate. It's all in God's time. He said it's time. This is going to be a time of love. It's going to be a time of hate. It's going to be time of war and it's going to be a time for peace.

Cuz it's all in God's time. Is that it, Israel? That should be it. Let's go to Genesis the 22nd chapter. It's all in God's time. Eccles I mean was Genesis 22.

Genesis. We go to Genesis 22. We going to go deal with Abraham, the father of the faith. Cuz I want I want people to understand what made what really made Abraham really stand out. And we going to point out the thing that really made Abraham stand out because this was a tough time for Abraham. But Abraham dealt with this like a soldier.

This is this is why he's called the father of the faithful. This is why. This is why the covenant was passed down from Abraham. This is why this right here, this exact reason is the reason why Abraham trusted God during the toughest time you could think of. I don't think boy, I ain't gonna say. Boy, it be hard for me.

Boy, it be hard to be This is a tough time, y'all. And we gonna read about it. When you get uh uh Genesis 22, we gonna pick it up in verse one. I'm gonna let you run it. And it came to pass after these things that God did tempt Abraham and said unto him, Abraham, and he said, "Behold, here I am." And and we also got to know the Lord don't really t man with evil. But he will try you.

He will try you to see if you for him. He will try your faith. He will try to see how much you love. He'll try you. Yes, he will. So, go ahead, Ezra.

Two. And he said, "Take now thy son, thine only son, Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Mariah." Now, we know I we know for a fact Abraham had another son, a name ain't Ishmael. But when he said, "Take now thy only son Isaac," it's because Isaac is the son of the covenant. And if you're not in the covenant with God, he don't even know you. He don't even recognize a marriage if it ain't in the covenant. He don't recognize people if they're not in the covenant.

That's why he said, "Israel is my son. He's my firstborn." Yes, sir. You only have I known out of all the nations of the families on the earth. You only have I known because he gave his covenant to who? Israel. And offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains, which I would tell thee of.

So, so the Lord just told Abraham, I want you to offer your son for a burnt offering on the mountain where I'm going tell you. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clay, the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. Man, you got to think, man. Abel uh Abraham's faith was so strong, man. He sat. He got the asses ready.

He took two of his young men. He grabbed the wood. He was on the way. It would took me 10 days to get there. It took me forever to get there. For then on the third day, Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place a far off.

So he lifted up and he saw the place a far off. And Abraham said unto his young men, abide ye here with the ass, and I and the lad will go yonder and worship and come again to you. He said he now watch this verse six. And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it upon Isaac his son. And he took the fire in his hand and a knife. And they went both of them together.

So they went both together. But you notice one thing. He left the asses back there. He he left the animals back there. So Isaac had something. He had Isaac trying to figure it out.

Verse seven. And Isaac spake to Abraham his father and said, "My father." And he said, "Here am I, my son." And he said, "Behold the fire and the wood." But where is the lamb for it burnt off? So you know, hold on at Got the We forgetting something. And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a offering." So they went together. So he really, you know, he really brought it to him real real humble, real humble and sweet. But you got to think the faith that Abraham had.

You got to think if you gonna pass the covenant down through Isaac and you want me to kill my son on the altar, you got to raise him back up cuz you already made a covenant. Yes, he did. But that it take faith to know that though. It took faith to know that. So really Abraham moving off of faith right now. N came to a place which God had told him.

And Abraham built an altar there, laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. Isaac's eyes was probably big, probably probably real big. He laid him on the wood, laid his son on the wood, and then what he do, Israel, go ahead. 10. And Abraham stretched forth his hand and took the knife to slay his son. He wasn't thinking twice.

He grabbed that knife. He was about to slay his son. But what happened, Israel? 11. And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven and said,"Abraham, Abraham." And he said, "Here am I." And he said, "Lay not thine hand upon the land, neither do thou anything unto him. For now I know that thou fearest God." See, God made you a free agent.

He made you a free agent. So you can do good or you can or you or you can fall out. But when he when he tried when he tried Abraham and Abraham passed, he said, "Now I know." Yes. Now I know that thou fearest God. Seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. See, you ain't even withheld your only son from me.

We be scared to let our child go to the park. Let alone trying to do something to harm him. We sensitive when it come to our kids, y'all. I know we are. We get real sensitive when it come to our kids. But this was a time Abraham went through.

A tough time for Abraham. This ram 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked and behold behind him a ram caught in the thicket by his horn. Caught in the thicket by his horn. That was a big old ram, too. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up for a burnt offering in the steed of his son. and the ste of his son.

Read that. Read that verse 14. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Gyra. Jehovah Gyra. Why? As it is said to this day in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

Jehovah Gyra means my provider. That was that was the time that Abraham went through. That's This is why he got the title the father of the faithful. This is why he the father of the faithful. Took his only son that was about to slay him for the Lord. Yes, he was.

As a Let's go a little further. Let's go to James the first chapter. Is that it? Oh, go ahead. I'm sorry. And the angel of the Lord called in Abraham out of heaven the second time and said, "By myself have I sworn, said the Lord, I'm glad you called me." Go ahead, Israel.

Well, because thou hast done this thing and has not withheld thy son, thine only son. So, you got to understand this was a tough time for Abraham. So, he went through the tough time. And what he did, he didn't fold. He came out on top. He trusted in the Lord even when it was it was rough.

So, he came out on top. So since he came out on top, now it's time for him to get his reward. What did he say? That in blessing I will bless thee. He said in blessings I'm about to bless thee. And in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven.

He said I'm going multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven. And what else? Israel. And as the sand which is upon the seashore. And thy seed shall pro shall possess the gate of his enemy. And thy seed shall possess the gates of his enemy.

And that's talking about future. But we will. We going to put the sestication of our enemies. We going to be back in Jerusalem running the show. Read that verse 18. Israel.

And in thy seed, he said, "And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed." Uhhuh. Because thou hast oyed my voice. Now, I'mma even make Jesus come out of your I'm Jesus come out of your man. You done did so well, man. You know what? Jesus coming out of your arms.

Because Jesus of the seed of Abraham. Now, let's go a little further. Let's go a little further. So, he So, he endured that. He endured through that. And after what?

What? Brought him right on back up. Brought him right back up cuz he bring the trouble and he relieve the trouble. Let's go. Let's go to James the first chapter. Let's go to James one.

Because during this whole walk, the number one thing you want to keep hold your patience. Keep your patience because you going to need it in this walk. You got to keep your patience. James the first chapter and we going to pick it up at verse one. James 1 and one. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read.

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the 12 tribes which are scattered abroad. Greetings. My my brethren, count it all joy when you fall into dish temptations, knowing this at the trying of your faith workketh patience. See, we got to develop that. He said, "Count it all joy when you're going through something." Yes, sir. That's why we That's why he said, "Give thanks forever more." No matter what it is, count it all joy.

He said, "Because this this this is way this how you work your patience because you need patience when you trying to be a servant of the Lord." Yes, sir. You going to need some patience. Four. But let patience have her perfect work. See, that's why he said, "Let patience have her perfect." Because you going to need it. You going to need it.

That ye may be perfect in entire wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men deliberate not, and it shall be given him, and it shall be given him. But but when you ask for something, the Lord don't want you shaky with it. Six, but let him. You got to ask in faith. Not wavering, not second guessing.

Don't sit there and pray and ask the Lord for something like, I know you probably ain't gonna do it, right? I already know it's going to be over. I'm not going to get it. You shouldn't even pray. He said, "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering." Go ahead, Israel. For he that waverth, it's like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and toss.

See, you all over the place when your faith is shaking the Lord like you all over the place. You like the wind. You out there like the wind. Like the sea that is tossed. Verse seven, go ahead. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.

Just off of you doing that. Don't look. You ain't You ain't got nothing coming for me. It's over with. You already doubted me after I was done. As soon as soon as you was done praying, you start doubting.

Let's Let's go a little further. Let's go to uh let's go to Let's go to 2 Samuel 16 cuz we was talking about patience and and enduring patience and having patience. It's a But we going to go deal with David. We going to go deal with David. We going to show you David used his patience. Boy, man, watch these patience that David had.

Cuz boy, somebody can walk up to you pointing their finger in your face, cussing you out, talking to you like you crazy, and you got a band of soldiers around you that that's willing to break a finger for you. But you exercise your patience. You you you exercise your patience. Watch how David played this out. Because David was a man of war. And around this time, David was running from his son Abselon.

So, he really wasn't in the best mood. He wasn't in the best shape around this time. Let's go to Let's go to 2 Samuel 16. 2 Samuel 16 and we going to pick it up at verse 5. This son was taking him through some things. But he said, "But the Lord told the Lord told David, the sword will not depart from your house." The sword is not departing from your house.

2 Samuel 16. We going to pick up at verse five. You get that there is go ahead and read. And when King David came to behold this came out a man of the family of this house of Saul whose name was Shimu the son of G. He came from and cursed still as he came. So he was coming forth and he was cursing.

That's like somebody walking up on you but you hear them cursing from way back there but they coming to you. And he cursed and he as he came he was cursing. Six. And he cast stones at David. They didn't say a rock. They said stones.

A stone is a stone. Now he cast stones at David. And then all the servants of the of King David. And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. You got to understand David had militant men with him. David had assassins with him.

Like real life assassins. You like, you know, the Seal Team Six, that's them. They were worse than the Seal Team Six. They was worse than the Green Berets Marine Corps. They was worse. I'm just I'm just throwing it out there.

They was worse. Read verse six. Israel six. And he cast stones at David and then all the servants of King David and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. So he had some soldiers with you. And thus said Seami when he cursed, "Come out.

Come out thou bloody man and thou man of Bale. Y man of Bale. You a liar. You you you a man of the death. Come on out of here you bloody man." That's what he That's what he's saying. That's what he's saying to David.

The Lord hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul and whose steed thou has ran. And the Lord hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Abselon. So he really bragging on him. He he pulling out the rap sheet on David. He like, "Yeah, that's why the Lord returned the blood on of that's why the Lord returned the blood on you on the house of Saul and your son that took your spot." So he really trying he really he really throwing a lot of shade at him. And behold, thou art taken in thy mischief because thou art a bloody man.

Because you a bloody man. Then said Abashi the son of of Zeriah unto the king. So So you know you know his soldiers are sitting around listening to all this. You know that, you know, Shimi was flapping his mouth a lot. So his soldiers, they they like, "Hey, his soldiers had something they wanted to say. Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?

Let me go over I pray thee and take off his head. So you know he has so you know Abasha Abashai the sons of Zereiah them boys was rough. If you ever go read the story of David and and all that if you read about the sons of Zereiah them boys was rough treacherous. They were about that smoke all the way through all the way. They see. So he said he said unto Abashad the son of Zer unto the king, "Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?

Let me go over here and take off his head." That's basically what he's saying. Let me go deal with him for you, David. He talking all that stuff. Let me get it. But what David say? 10.

And the king said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeriah?" That's what he always say to them. What am I going to do with you sons of Zero? Y'all always want to be violent. That's basically what he's saying. what I'm going to do with y'all. So, let him curse.

Let him curse. Because the Lord has said unto him, curse David. The Lord probably turned him to curse David. Let him do his thing. The Lord probably told him to do it. Who shall then say, "Wherefore hast thou done so?" So he basically like, "The Lord is in control of this.

Let him do what he do." And David was a killer. David wasn't no person to play with. No, he wasn't. So you walking up on a man of a man of war talking crazy. But David was exercising his peace. He was showing y'all his patience.

He's showing us that. Israel. 11. And David said to Abashi and to all his servants. Behold my son which came forth from my bow. Seek of my life.

He said look man, my son that came out of my bow is looking to kill me. What else? How much more now may this Benjamite do it? What he going to do? Yeah, I got bigger problems going on. What is he?

He ain't talking about nothing. That's what David is saying. Let him alone. And let him curse. For the Lord have bidden him. It may be that the Lord will will look on my affliction and that the Lord will requite me good for his cursing this day.

And as David and his men went by the way, Shimi went along on the hills hillside over against him and cursed him as he went. And threw stones at him and cast dust. Man, boy, that had to boy. That had to be Go ahead. Israel. And the king and all the people that were with him came weary and refreshed themselves dead.

So, so David used his patience. You got to use your fruits of the spirit. And patience is a big is a big one we need. We all need to ask for patience. We all need it. We got three.

We got four more. We out of here. Let's go to Romans the 8th chapter. Let's go to Romans 8. Cuz when it's all said and done, when you live in this life and you believe and you love God, everything going to come together for the good. It's all going to work out.

It's all going to work itself out. You got to believe that. Especially if you love the Lord and you believe in him, you got to you got to know God is in control of everything. Everything going to work according to his purpose. We know that. Romans 8, we going to pick it up at verse 24.

Romans 8 and 24. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. For we are saved by hope. But hope that is seen is not hope. What? For what a man seeth, why does he yet hope for?

So we are saved by hope. We hope for salvation. We hope for that crown of life. But if you already had the crown of life on your head, you wouldn't be hoping for it no more. Come on now. You wouldn't even You wouldn't even be hoping for it.

You're not about to hope you get paid in a check already in your direct deposit. It's already. It's already there. 25 But if we hope for that, we see not. Then do we with patience wait for it. That's what we doing now.

We hope for that we see not. We hope to we hope to make it to the We hope to make it with the Lord into the kingdom. We ain't never seen it, but we hope to get there. We hope to live forever. We hope to have everlasting salvation. That's what we hope.

26. Likewise, the spirit also help with our infirmity, which is our weaknesses. The spirit also helpeth with our with our weaknesses. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought. We don't really really know the things we really really need. We don't.

We think we do, but we really don't. But the spirit himself making intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. You probably praying for a BMW. I don't know. I want a n get him a forward to he up here. He up here clearing.

He he up here clearing the page for you. Lord, I want to ask what this mean. Get him that right there. He'll be all right. Yeah, he fixing it for you cuz you don't really know what you want. You just asking for stuff.

Israel 27. And he that searchth your heart knoweth what is the mind of the spirit. He that searchth the heart, who we already read who searched the heart. That's Jesus that searched the heart. He said he tried to reign. Israel.

Because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Because it's according to the will of the God. He making intercessions according to the will of God. But this what we here for. Verse 28. And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love God.

See, all things going to work together for the good of them that love God. And what else, Israel? To them who are the called according to his purpose. Who are called according to his purpose. And that's how we and that's what we and that's what we live with. If you love and believe God, it's all going to come together.

for his purpose. His purpose. Let's skip back a few pages. Let's go to Romans the 5th chapter. Let's go to Romans 5 and we going to read 1 through5. Then we got two more.

Romans 5 and we going to read 1 through5. You get there, Israel. Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We got peace through God through our Lord Jesus Christ. by whom also we have access by faith into his grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also.

We going through it, man. We still going to have glory. We still going to have joy. Knowing that tribulation work with patience. And what do patience do? And patience experience and experience do what?

Experience hope. That's what we got. You get your patience. You have been through a few things. So now you got some experience and now your skin is tough. Now you got hope.

You got thick skin. Now it's going to be hard to knock you off. It's going to be hard to knock you off your ground now. Fine. And hope maketh not ashamed. Hope make it not ashamed.

Because the love of God is shed abroad in our our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. and that's given unto us. Now, let's go to let's go to let's go to Psalms 148. Let's go to Psalms 148. Psalms 148. The Lord is in control of it all.

That's why he So that's why with this in this psalm, this song we about to read, everything got to give praise unto the Lord. Because he's running the show. He's running everything from the mountain. I'm talking about from the mountains that grow that bring forth brass. Anything you want to name that man is not controlled the Lord. Psalms 148 and I'm going to let you run E.

Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens. Praise ye him in the heights. Praise ye him all his angels. Praise ye him all his host. All the angels, all the hosts.

Praise ye him, son and moon. Praise him, all ye stars of light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heaven. See, a lot of people don't understand this water above the heavens. That's why the sky blue cuz the water. A lot of people don't understand that.

We in the firmament. The firmament is the bottom. We in the firmament. Fine. Let them praise the name of the Lord. Let them praise in the name of the Lord.

Why? For he commanded and they were created. He said, "Let there be in the beginning. Let there be light." And the angels brought it forth. Let let this go on. And they brought it forth.

That's like you building the house and you you the top engineer. You might got the way you want it built, but you ain't in there putting nothing. You ain't in there laying no tools down cuz you got the soldiers to do that. So the Lord commanded and the angels made it happen. Israel six. He hath also established them forever and ever.

He have established them forever and ever. Heath made a decree which shall not pass. Praise the Lord from the earth. Ye dragons in all deeps. And all the deeps. Fire and hell, snow and vapors, stormy wind fulfilling his word.

Mountains and all hills. Fruitful trees and all cedars. He ain't leaving nothing out. He He got something else to say. Verse 10. beasts and all cattle, creeping things and flying foul.

Kings of the earth and all people, princes and all judges of the earth. Everybody got to praise the Lord. He said, "I need everything that have breath." Yes. Praise the Lord. Israel 12. Both young men and maidens, old men and children.

What do you want them to do? Let them praise the name of the Lord. You got to praise the name of the Lord. For his name alone is excellent. His glory is above the earth and heaven. He also exalted the horn of his people and the praise of all his saints, even of the children of Israel, of people near unto him.

What What did he tell him to do before he got out of there? What did he say? Praise be the Lord. That's what you need to do. Let's go to our last spot. Let's go to Isaiah.

Let's Let's end it the same way we start. Let's go to Isaiah 45th chapter. Let's go to Isaiah 45. That's how we keep our peace, y'all. We know. We know the Lord create.

We know. We know the Lord is in control of all things. We know that. And then you got to also look at it. That should also keep your faith going. But guess what?

We on the right side of the fence with him. We on his side. We on the same side of the Lord that's created the world. That's going to come back like a vest in blood. and and he gonna have a blood onto the horse's bridal. You really want to be on his side.

You got to be on his side. Isaiah 45 and we gonna pick it up at verse five. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. I am the Lord and there is none else. There is no God beside me. I ged thee.

Thou know, thou hast not known me. He said, look, I put clothes on you and you ain't even know me. He said he was naked and I put the clothes on you, but you ain't known me. Six. That they may know from the rising of the sun and from the west. That there is none beside me.

I am the Lord and there is none else. There is none else. Verse seven, what are you saying? I form the light. I form the light and create darkness. And create darkness.

I make peace. And create evil. I am the I the Lord do all these things. And I pray y'all got some understanding. And now we will have the reading of the law. Great blessing.

Appreciate you. Exodus 20 verses 1-17. And God God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of father. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is that is in the heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shall not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.

For I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and showing mercy, to thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it host. Six days shall thou labor and do all thy work. But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it thou shall not do any work.

Thou nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all the end of them, and rested seventh day. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all the end of, and rested the seventh day. Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallelujah. Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. Thou shall not kill.

Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shall not coveret thy neighbor's house. Thou shall not coveret thy neighbor's wife, nor his man's servant, nor his maid servant, nor his ax, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy name. In Jesus name.

Yeah, we have. And we we do good by reading the commandments every Sabbath day because the only thing that separate man in the lake of fire is the commandments of God. That's what separates you from the lake of fire. So, we want to read that every Sabbath. But that's all uh that's uh that's all we have. Uh do we have any announcements?
