In this Sabbath lesson from Israel Church of the Firstborn in Indianapolis, Brother Obadiah teaches on Ecclesiastes 1:18: in much wisdom is much grief, and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. The word of God is sweet as honey, but it is also bitter; as the servant of God increases in the knowledge of the truth, he sees the true state of the world and increases in sorrow. Yet the lesson ends in comfort, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Every passage is read in the King James Version.

1.Knowledge builds the house and increaseth strength
The lesson opens in Proverbs, where wisdom builds a spiritual house and knowledge increases strength. And though the just man will fall, he rises up again.
Proverbs 24:3-5 KJV3Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
5A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
Proverbs 24:16 KJV16For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
"A wise man is strong; a man of knowledge increaseth strength. It takes strength to be sorrowful all the time. A just man falleth seven times and riseth up again. The Lord know that you flesh, that you made from dirt. You going to fall down, but you can't stay on the ground, you got to rise up again."
2.The word of God is sweet as honey, but it is also bitter
The prophet is told to eat the roll, the book, and it is sweet as honey in the mouth. The word is sweeter than gold or the honeycomb. But John is shown the other side of it: the little book is sweet in the mouth and bitter in the belly.
Ezekiel 3:1-3 KJV1Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
2So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.
3And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.
Psalms 19:10 KJV10More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Revelation 10:9-10 KJV9And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
"You got to eat the book, you got to eat the Bible, and you can't just eat part of it. That's what the word of God is, it's bittersweet. It's good when you know you gunning for salvation, but it's going to make you bitter once you get all the lamentations and mourning and the woes that's associated with the Bible. It ain't going to be no cakewalk once you deal in the word of God."
3.He that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow
The title text comes from Solomon, the king who had it all, silver and gold, houses and vineyards, a thousand wives, and called it all vanity and vexation of spirit. In much wisdom is much grief.
Ecclesiastes 1:17-18 KJV17And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.
18For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
Ecclesiastes 2:22-23 KJV22For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, wherein he hath laboured under the sun?
23For all his days are sorrows, and his travail grief; yea, his heart taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity.
"Solomon said, I gave my heart to seek and search out wisdom concerning all things, and behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. For in much wisdom is much grief, and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. This is where we get the title of the lesson. The older you get, the more wisdom you get, the more sorrow you going to feel, because you going to see the true state of what the world is in."
4.Our days are few, and full of labour and sorrow
Moses wrote a psalm of it: our years are threescore and ten, and their strength is labour and sorrow, so we ought to number our days. And David, having the mind of Christ, still cried with sorrow in his heart daily.
Psalms 90:10 KJV10The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Psalms 90:12 KJV12So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Psalms 13:1-2 KJV1How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
"Moses wrote a psalm too. The days of our years are threescore and ten, and their strength is labour and sorrow. So teach us to number our days. You better make good use of your time. And David said, how long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily?"
5.Even Jesus was a man of sorrows
The lesson shows that the Lord himself carried grief. He beheld Jerusalem and wept over it, knowing the destruction that was coming. He warned of a famine, not of bread, but of hearing the words of the Lord, and he said the world hates him because he testifies its works are evil.
St. Luke 19:41-42 KJV41And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
Amos 8:11 KJV11Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
Psalms 69:1-3 KJV1Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
2I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
3I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
St. John 7:7 KJV7The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
"Even Jesus was sad. He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; grief was his acquaintance, his friend. He beheld the city and wept over it, because he knew what was coming to Jerusalem some forty years later. And there's a famine now, not of bread, but of hearing the words of the Lord."
6.Come boldly to the throne of grace
But the sorrow is not the end. We have a high priest who was touched with the feeling of our infirmities, tempted in all points as we are, so the servant of God can come boldly to the throne of grace for mercy and help.
Hebrews 4:15-16 KJV15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
"We have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. That's what the walk is for. You got to learn to be strong, because now we got to help people that's in their time of need."
7.Weeping endures for a night, but joy cometh in the morning
The lesson closes on the promise. His anger endures but a moment; the weeping is only for a night. And in the new Jerusalem, God will wipe away all tears, and there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying.
Psalms 30:5 KJV5For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Revelation 21:3-4 KJV3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Closing Word
"He that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow, but weeping may endure for a night, and joy cometh in the morning. And we hope you got some understanding in Jesus name."
Brother Obadiah closed by pointing the class to the new Jerusalem, where God shall wipe away all tears and there shall be no more death, sorrow, nor crying, the joy that comes in the morning for those who endure.

In Jesus name we pray. Today's opening scriptures going to come from Jeremiah 17 and 8. Blessed is the man who trusted in the Lord. And whose hope the Lord is and whose hope the Lord is he for he is as a tree planted by the waters. For he is as a tree planted by the waters and spreadth and spreadth out as her roots and spreadth out her roots by the river. By the river and shall be in and shall not hear when the heat cometh.
And shall not hear when the heat cometh. But her leaf shall be green. And shall be careful in the year of drought. And shall be careful in the year of trial. and and not and shall cease not from yielding fruit and shall cease not from yielding fruit. In Jesus name we pray.
The alpha and omega. The beginning and the end. The first and the last. And the first and the last. In Jesus name we pray. Okay y'all, we want to proceed with our savage script.
Wait, we have a song. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. My bad. We got a selection. Nice.
Thank you. Happy Sabbath everyone. that Jesus shed for the that gives me strength from day from day to day from day to day. It will never lose power. that Jesus shal that gives me strength from day from day to From day to day, it will never never lose power. Go ahead on to the highest mountain.
Oh, and it flows. It flows. It flows through the valley. Yes, I know the blood that gives me strength from day from day to day. From day to day, it will never never lose power. The blood that Jesus sh Oh Calary the blood that gives me strength from day from From day to day, from day to day, it will never never lose its power.
Oh, does it reach to the highest mountain? Whoa. And it flows. It flows. It flows through the valley. I know the blood from day to day.
From day to day. It will never never lose. It's time. One more round of applause. By the way, yes, sir. How's supposed to come after that?
Anyway, that was was beautiful. That was beautiful. Yes, ma'am. But we gonna go ahead on. We want to put everybody here. We want to go ahead on with our Sabbath script.
We want everybody to turn to Exodus the 35th chapter. See, that's what the Sabbath is about, sisters and brothers. The Sabbath is about not only you going to learn about the Lord, but you going to have fun on the Sabbath day. That's what it's all about. When you show up off in the Lord's sanctuary, the only thing that the Lord want you to do is praise him, sisters and brothers. And just like old song that I listen to, that's what we come here to do.
We come here to praise his name, sisters. So, let's go to Exodus the 35th chapter. Exodus 35. I always kind of like to put this in because I put I put it in for people also that don't understand the rules about the Lord's Sabbath day or they might be new to it or you have a lot of people that just start keeping the Sabbath day and they might even do a little cooking on this day. But the that's not what the Sabbath is about. The Sabbath is about reverencing the Lord and it's about giving it all to him, sisters and brothers.
And it's another struggle that I had years ago when I used to smoke on the Sabbath. We want to try to get the brothers and the sisters that's all around us and also because we gonna read another part about the Sabbath that God wants you to hold in reverence about. So now let's go to Exodus the 35th chapter. Exodus 35 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Exodus 35 and we going to pick up at verse one. When you get there, my beautiful beloved elder, go ahead and read.
And Moses gathered all the all the congregation of the children of Israel together and said unto them, "These are the words which the Lord had commanded." Go ahead. These are the words which the Lord had commanded that ye shall do them. So he said, "These are the words which the Lord commanded, sisters and brothers." Like we always point out, Moses didn't come up with nothing on his own, sisters and brothers. Moses didn't even want to go preach to the children of Israel. He didn't believe he was good enough. So Moses took all of his instructions from the Lord, sisters and brothers.
So he said, "These are the are the words which the Lord commanded that you should do them." So what did it say at verse two? Six days shall work be done. The Lord give you six days to go out and make a living, sisters and brothers. He give you six days to take care of your business. He know you got to live. He understand that you got bills to pay.
And he understand that you going to have some days where you might be a little short of money. So but he said six days shall work be done because this is why we are saying this. But on the seventh day there shall be no there shall be to you an holy day. He said but on the seventh day this shall be to you a holy day. So this is the holiest day of the week. This is the day that the Lord set aside.
See every day you should thank the Lord and praise the Lord sisters and brothers. But it's one day that God set aside specifically for himself. So I give you six days to do what you want to do. Now, but this seventh day is a holy day unto you. So, what did the Lord say? A seventh of rest to you to the Lord.
Whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. That's what he said, sisters and brothers. We didn't write the book. We only read the book. He said, "Whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death, sisters and brothers." So, you got a lot of people that work on the Sabbath right now. And some people that's even in the word and they don't understand that.
But he might not kill you today. He might not kill you next week, but when you wake up, you going to have a spiritual judgment that you going to have to deal with. And if you have worked or did any kind of survive work on the Lord's Sabbath day, he said it's a death penalty behind that. So now, what else does he want us to do? Because we already know that fire represent the Lord. So he said he don't even want you to make no images of him.
So what did he say at verse three? Ye shall kindle fire throughout your habitations upon the Sabbath day. upon the Sabbath day. He said, "Don't kindle no fire throughout your habitations on the Sabbath day." So the Lord don't want you making no fires and he don't want you to make no unnecessary fires as well, sisters and brothers. And this is the reason why. Let's go now.
Let's go now to uh let's go now to Leviticus the 19th chapter. Leviticus 19. When you step in here, you got to have your game face on now. You got to be ready to serve the Lord because you can't serve the Lord with no with no halfhearted self. You got to be you got to be right with him. So we gonna read one verse right here.
Let's go to Leviticus 19. Leviticus 19 and we going to read verse 30. Like I say, the Lord still got you in the race. He ain't killed you yet. So if you got some things that you can pull back on and do better with on the Sabbath, now it's time for you to do that. So now Leviticus 19 and pick it up at verse 30.
Ye shall keep my Sabbath. He said, "Ye shall keep my Sabbath." Go ahead and read. And reence my sanctuary. And he also said, "You need to reverence my sanctuary." Go ahead and read. I am the Lord. Reverence, respect my sanctuary.
Now, we know that we not in the sanctuary when we was back at home in Jerusalem, but any place that you were in that they are keeping the true Sabbath day and dealing with the true and living God, he wants you to respect that place. So, he said, I want you to reverence reverence my sanctuary and keep my Sabbaths. So I want to praise the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And peace to everyone in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We want to have the Sabbath of our Indianapolis family. We got house back in.
We had last week, but they back. And also those that's watching us in Cincinnati. We also want to say happy Sabbath to you as well. Be alive Facebook and YouTube, we also want to say happy Sabbath to you as well. And also those that's watching us on our YouTube channel. We not going to make the announcement yet, but if you come back or if you peel back and look at the lesson later on, which we see that you do that now, we got a little message that we want to put out about our YouTube page.
And also, we want to give a round of applause for the brotherhood and the sisterhood. It was a tough week. It was a hot week and it was a very, very tiresome week. We got everybody back and with the prayers of the church, who do we got sitting back here? We got our moment back. We got her back there.
You know that we love you or we miss you and we going to continue to pray for one another and you pray for me. So, also I got I got another little thing I kind of want to throw out here because this really going to kind of tie in with the lesson what we going to talk about today about talking about sorrow, sisters and brothers. So I want one thing I want to put out for those that are diabetic that those that are diabetic we want you to start taking a look at the medicines that the that these so-called pharmaceutical and sorcery people are giving you sisters and brothers. So there's a very very popular drug that's out here. This moved me so much that I had to say this on camera now. So they have this everybody have heard of that oyic drug and things like that.
They put that oympic inside of a lot of diabetic medicine and often the medicine and particularly where you inject yourself with. So that's what I want you to look up. It's called GLP minus one. So when you look at what this GLP minus one, they put it off in OPIC and it's made with Gila with Gila venom. Sisters and brothers, it come from a lizard. So they put lizard Gila monster inside of this OPIC.
And also you brothers that's getting a little older and you still thinking about your Johnson and you want to start be taking Viagra and stuff like that when they get spider venom it's it's incorporated with that. So you want to make sure that you are looking at the things that you are putting in your body sisters and brothers because they trying to kill us and when we deal with these kind of things we don't know about it. So they put it off in our medicines and things like that and things that's naturally that your body is supposed to do. Your body is supposed to go through a process when you start to lose a little weight. But people want to throw these drugs in them and they not telling you what they are putting in these drugs sisters and brothers which makes us sorrowful which makes us sorrowful. See one thing about the Lord we started this lesson off we all laughing.
We have a good time. We having some good singing, but we also and that's what the Lord want us to do. He want the true believers to have a good time in this life. So you don't need to walk around all the time sad. But one thing that you got to understand is when you start reading this Bible and the more and more that you start increasing in knowledge, you're going to also increase in sorrows. Sisters and brothers, you're going to increase in sorrows.
Just like Ronnie just said when he came in that they got the streets blocked off and they got the LGBT or whatever the alphabet people all downstairs and downtown and they celebrating all this stuff. Well, when me and my wife, we was watching the news yesterday with the parade going on, and they had a little boy about this tall, probably was no more than about five or six years old, already dressed up like a girl, walking around with people downtown with all these provocative clothes on, and they getting exposed to this stuff as children, sisters, and brothers. So these are the things that if it don't make you sad then you should learn to be sad about it because you got to understand when we increase knowledge the sorrows going to come with it. So just think about people that we love. You know how many good people in the world that they don't know nothing about God and you wish that they did know some. I mean we got a lot of good people that we talk to people at our jobs friendships that we create and it and it's sorrowful when you know that they don't know nothing about the true and living Jesus.
They don't know nothing about it. And if they don't get their act together, the same people that you love and have grown up with and have loved all your life, if they don't get it right, then God don't deal with them. Sisters and brothers, that's something to be sorrowful about. So the title of the lesson is he that increasth knowledge increasth sorrow. He that increasth knowledge increasth sorrow, sisters and brothers. So without further ado, let's start this lesson off in Proverbs the 24th chapter because we here to give exhortation to the people because see the true and living the true and people that serving the true and living God.
We going to be sad sisters and brothers, we going to have sorrows going to come upon us and we going to deal a lot with Solomon in this lesson. So now let's start off in Proverbs 24. Proverbs 24. And we going to pick it up at verse one. Proverbs 24 and we gonna pick it up up at verse one. 24 and 21.
When you get there, my view beloved elder, go ahead and read. Be not envious against evil men. Neither desire to be with them. So, so you hear what the book is telling you now. He said, "Be not envious against evil men." Don't worry about what evil people got. Don't worry about what they accumulating in this life because we going to show you that through the writings of Solomon, it don't mean anything, sisters and brothers.
So he said, "Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them. They don't invite you to the party. So what? Be fine about that. I don't want to really be around you no way if you ain't dealing with the true and living God." Because what are we going to have to talk about? We can't talk about the football game and the basketball game all the time, which I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that.
But when you know that it's a company of men or women and they walking around and they evil, the Lord don't want you to even be around. don't desire to be around those people, sisters and brothers. So now verse for their hearts study destruction. He said, for their hearts studying destruction, sisters and brothers, go ahead and read. And their lips talk of mischief. And that's all they talk about.
They ain't talking about nothing but some junk. They ain't talking about nothing but some folly. He said, "And their lips talk of mischief." That's all they talk about. You get around the worldly people, all they talking about is taking revenge on somebody or who they don't like in office or who they who they don't like in office. That's all that you hear about. He said they lips are always talking about with mischief.
But now you got to understand like you got to learn to be strong on your own. Sisters and brothers, this is a time that you living in that when people around you are not serving God, this is the time that you got to go back to God. So now read that verse three. Through wisdom is a house builder. We ain't talking about when we ain't talking about no house that you living in. We talking about your spiritual house.
This house, that's the spiritual house. He said through wisdom is a house building. And by understanding it is established. And by understanding it is established, sisters and brothers. See, once you get this knowledge and you get this wisdom and then you get understanding, then you going to be established, sisters and brothers. So what do you mean by being established?
If you go read what the Lord said, he said that when the storm and when the rains come, when it beat on that house, it's not going to fall down at all because it was founded on a rock, sisters and brothers. So you got to learn to be strong like a rock, like a inadimate rock while you living in this world. So now, what else does it say about knowledge? Verse four, go ahead. And knowledge shall shall chambers be filled with precious and pleasant riches. That's what your chamber's going to be filled with once you get this knowledge, sisters and brothers.
It's going to be filled with all precious, all precious riches. The riches that the world can't give you. So now verse five, go ahead. A wise man is strong. See, that's what he is. He said, "A wise man is strong, sisters and brothers." And when we talking about man, man is a species.
We talking about women, too. He said, "A wise man is strong." Go ahead and read. Knowledge increases strength. But see, you going to get this now when you get knowledge. So he telling you what you get when you get knowledge. Once you get knowledge, you are going to get strength.
It takes strength to be sorrowful all the time. Sisters and brothers, being sorrowful is not an easy deal. But the more knowledge that you get, you got to understand that you going to get some sorrows that's gonna come with this. So now, let's skip down to verse 13. Skip down to verse 13 because see we got a lesson on this but we going to reread that verse 13. My son, eat thou honey.
Because it is good. That's what he said. He said, "My son, eat thou honey because it is good." And we did a lesson on this a long time ago. We know what the honey represent. The honey represents the word of God. It's going to be sweet to the taste.
And we going to read that now. So he said, "My son, eat thou honey because it is good." Go ahead and read. And the honeycomb which is sweet to the taste. So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto you unto unto thy soul. That's what he's saying it's going to be, sisters and brothers. In verse 14, he said, so shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul.
When thou has found it, he said, when thou has found it, go ahead and read. Then there is a great there shall be a great reward. And expectation shall not be cut off. and thy expectations shall not be cut off once you get founded by his wisdom, sisters and brothers. But he telling you it's going to be sweet. But see one thing about the word of God, the word of God is a two-edged sword.
And the Lord told us about that. So it's going to be a two-edged. So you going to get this. You going to get the word of God. And the word of God going to be sweet to the taste. I know that I'm gunning for salvation.
I know what I'm in for it for. But now let's keep reading. Let's Is that it? Okay, that's that's it. You know what? Go ahead and read that verse 16 since we right here, sisters and brothers.
All right. All right, bro. Benny. All right. Good to see you, beloved. Good to see you, brother.
Read that verse 16. Read that one verse right there. I don't have it in, but read that one verse because while you get this knowledge, you got to also understand this is one part that's going to be a little bit bitter now when you start dealing with the word. So, read that verse 16. For a just man fall seven times. A just man gonna fall seven times.
If you you think you gonna run this race and you are not gonna fall off, you are sadly mistaken. That's why we telling you about that. He said a just man falling seven times. The Lord know that you flesh. The Lord know that you made from dirt. He understands that.
So he understand that you going to fall down because you not omnipotent the way that his son was. So he said for a just man fallth seven times. Go ahead and read and riseth up again. But he going to rise up again. Sisters and brothers, you can't stay on the ground. You can't stay in your self-pity.
You got to learn to be strong. And you got to get this word of God. And you got to realize that you going to fall off. But he said, "For a just man falling seven times and rise it up again." Now, but what's going to happen with the wicked? But the wicked shall fall into mischief. That's what the wicked is.
The wicked going to fall into mischief, sisters and brothers. So now let's go to Exodus the third chapter. Now, let's go to Exodus 3, I mean Ezekiel 3, I'm sorry. Let's go to Ezekiel. Ezekiel 3, and we going to pick it up at verse one. The word of God going to be sweet and then we going to show you the other side of it, sisters and brothers.
Let's go to let's go to Ezekiel the third chapter and we going to pick it up at verse one. Ezekiel 3 and1. When you get there, Elder, go ahead and read. Moreover, he said unto me, son of man, eat th eat that thou finest, eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. So now this what now? Now so now now we got to follow instructions.
Now he said, moreover, he said unto me, son of man, he said, eat that thou findest. He said, eat this roll. So I open my mouth. And he caused me to eat the roll. So he calls, so I open my mouth and he calls me to eat the roll, sisters and brothers. But see the thing about it, this roll ain't ain't made with natural bread.
The road that he is talking about here is none other than the book. You got to eat the book. You got to eat the Bible. You got to eat it. And you can't just eat part of the Bible. You got to eat the entire thing.
Now he said, "Eat that thou findest." He said, "Eat this roll and go speak unto the house of Israel." So I opened my mouth and he caused me to eat this roll. So now verse three, go ahead. And he said unto me, go ahead. Son of man, cause thy belly to eat and fill thy bowels with this robe that I give thee. Then I I eat it and it was into my into my mouth as honey and for sweet. It was in his mouth a honey for this.
Sisters and brothers, behold your spot right here. Let's go to let's go to let's go to Psalms the 19th chapter real quick. go to Psalms 19 because see David had talked a little about this sweet roll as well and this honey is none other than the word of God. So now let's go to Psalms 19. Psalms 19 and we going to pick it up at verse one. I mean uh no no let's go to Psalms 19 and pick it up at verse 9.
Psalms 19 and we going pick it up at verse 9. Psalms 19 and9. So now go ahead elder. The fear of the Lord is clean. That's what it is. Now he said the fear of the Lord is clean.
Enduring forever. It endures forever sisters and brothers. See the fear of the Lord endure forever. Even when you become God, that don't mean that you are not going to fear the Lord because you in the spiritual body because you going to understand who he is now. So he said the fear of the Lord is clean. He said enduring forever.
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. That's what his judgments are. sisters and brothers, they true and they are righteous alltogether. That's what the word of God is now. So now, but see what does this word do to you? Verse 10, go ahead and read.
More to be desired than gold. He said there are more to be desired than gold, sisters and brothers. Than fine gold. He said, "Yeah, much fine gold." Go ahead. Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. You see what he comparing the word of God to?
That's what the word of God is. It's sweet. Now, so when you when you understand that you keeping the Sabbath day correctly, when you understanding that you loving your mother and your father, you loving your wife, and most importantly, you loving the father and the son, it's going to be sweet to you, sisters and brothers, because see, but what does this word of God do for you? So now read that verse 11. Moreover, thy servant is is wait, moreover, excuse me. Moreover, by them is a servant warned.
He said, "Moreover, by them is thy servant warned." Now, go ahead and read. And the keeping of them is a great reward. And in keeping of them there is a great reward. You going to get a reward for you keeping the word of God and you keeping it off in truth and in righteousness, sisters and brothers. So now let's go now to Revelations the 10th chapter. Revelations 10.
Let's show you the other side of it because see the word of God also got a whole another side and we going to read about that. And I found that out immediately when I came into the word of God. I found out when I came in that once I started living and started preaching the truth and I started preaching that word to my family, my family didn't take too well to it. So once they confronted me about it and I stopped I stopped doing Christmas and stopped doing Easter. It was a problem between me and my father, it didn't turn out like that. But I knew that what I had it was the truth.
So now let's show you the other side of this. The other side of the coin. Let's go to Revelations 10. Revelations 10. And we gonna deal with John the Revelator now. And he get ready to speak to you in parables about Jesus.
So now, Revelations 10. And let's pick it up at verse one. Revelations 10 and1. And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven clothed with the cloud. And a rainbow upon his head. And he had a rainbow which was going to be upon his head, sisters and brothers.
But this rainbow don't don't don't represent that rainbow that you see them people got downtown. Now see this rainbow right here is holy. This rainbow right here was a covenant that the Lord had made with the earth that he was not going to destroy the world no more with fire. So now he said I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven clothed with the cloud. And a rainbow was upon his head. And his face was as if it was the it were the sun.
And his feet as pillars of fire. and his pe his feet was as pillars of fire. So we talking about an angel now. So now what did this angel do? Verse two, go ahead. And he had in his hands a little book open and he set it on his right foot upon the sea and the left upon the earth.
And he said he said he said it set the left one upon the earth. So when that happened, what happened at verse three? And he cried with a loud voice as a when a lion roared. And when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voice. So whoever this whoever this angel is, he must be the leader of this crew right here. Now he said, and he cried with a loud voice as when a lion roared.
And when he cried, he said, seven thunders had uttered their voices now. So we know that these are talking about angels. But now the Lord going give him a message. Verse four, go ahead. And when the thunders had uttered their voice, go ahead. I was about to ride.
He was getting ready to write something that once these seven thunders had uttered their voices. Now he said I was about to write. And I heard a voice in heaven saying unto me. Seal up those things which the seven thunders utter. And write them not. See the secret things belong to the Lord.
See the Lord ain't going to let you know his whole plan. So when this place right here once these seven thunders uttered their voice and then he was getting ready to write it down now. But see, he said, "Write these things not." So now verse five, go ahead. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven. And what did he say? Verse six.
and and swear by him that liveth forever and ever, who created the heavens, and the things that therein and the earth, and the things that therein are the seed and the sea, and the things which are therein, go ahead, that which could be time no longer. He said it's going to be time no longer. Now he said this swear by him that liveth forever and ever who created heaven and the things that are therein and the earth and the things that are therein. So we already know that the Lord created all of this. Now he said and the sea and the things which are therein that there should be time no longer now. So he talking about the coming of the Lord right here.
But now verse seven go ahead. But in those days of the voice of the seven angels, when I saw began to sound, the mysteries of God shall be finished. And he had declared his to his servants and the prophets. And a voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again and said, "Go and take the little book which is open in his hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth." Go ahead. And when I unto the angel, when I unto the angel said to him, give give me the little book. And he said, he said unto me, take it, and shall make thy belly build.
Now, so he went unto the angel and saith unto him. Now, he said, give me the little book. And he said unto me, take it and eat it up, and it shall make thy belly bitter. But how is it going to taste when it go down? But it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. But it's going to be in thy mouth sweet as honey now.
So he giving you the other side of it. So we read, but the word of God taste sweet and it tastes like honey now. But now he giving you the bitter side of the word. And this bitter side is going to be the side that's going to make you sad sometimes, sisters and brothers. It's going to make you sorrowful. So now read that verse 10.
and I took the little book out of the angel's hand and I ate it up. He did the same thing that Ezekiel did. Now he said, "And I took the little book out of the angel's hand and I ate it up. But now, how did it feel once he ate it?" Go ahead. And it was in my mouth sweet as honey. It was in his mouth as sweet as honey.
And as soon as I had eaten it up, my belly was bitter. But as soon as he ate it, he it got bitter. So you got the bittersweet word of God. That's what the word of God is. It's going to be good when you know that you gun it for salvation, but it's going to make you bitter once you get all of the lamentations and mourning and the woes that's associated with the Bible. And that's one thing that people don't like to talk about that it ain't going to be no cakewalk once you deal in the word of God.
So now, what else did he have? What did he say at verse 11? He said unto me, and he said unto me, go ahead. thou prophesied again before many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. And that's what he doing right now when he wrote this book. And he said unto me, "Thou must prophesy again before many peoples and nations and tongues and multitudes." Because he was the one that was going to write the book of Revelations.
So from the time that he wrote it, it's going to be all the way up even until after the coming of the Lord Jesus, sisters and brothers. and that he prophesying to us right now through this book. So now let's go to Ecclesiastics the first chapter. Ecclesiastics 1. Let's get into it. Let's go deal with a little bit of Solomon today, sisters and brothers.
And we going to show you. We going to show you that when you increase in your knowledge, you going to increase in sorrows. Sorrows going to come along with it. You might be looking at your grandchild and you know one day that child gonna grow up and you know they gonna be in jail or dead. That's going to make you sad. or you see a little child, he already he already young and he walking around here switching all in the house already.
That's going to make you bitter, sisters and brothers. It's going to make you sorrowful when you see that. So now let's go to Ecclesiastics 1. Ecclesiastics 1 and we going to pick it up at verse 12. Ecclesiastics 1 and we going to pick it up at Yep. I am the I the preacher was king over Israel and Jerusalem.
That's who he was now. So we know we all know that Solomon was the third king that Israel ever had now. So he said I the preacher was king over Israel and Jerusalem. Now so he going to do a little research right here. Verse 13, go ahead. And I gave my heart to seek and search out wisdom concerning all things.
See, that's what that's the key thing now. He said, I gave my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom concerning all things. Sisters and brothers, go ahead and read that are done under the sun. This sure travail has God given to me, has given to the sons of men to be exercised therewith. I have seen all the works that are done. Vanity and vexation of spirit.
So now notice what he is saying to you now sisters and brothers because you reading about a king that had it all. He had it all. Now he said I have he said at verse 14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun. And he said behold, he said all is vanity and vexation of the spirit. All of it is. The only thing that's not going to be bad to you is the word of God.
So now what did he say at verse 15? That which is crooked cannot be made straight. He said that which is crooked cannot be made straight. If it's crooked that means that it's not straight with God. So if it's crooked, that means it can't be made straight. Sisters and brothers, I don't care how young you are.
You can't come to me with a little boy and tell me that you was gay from the from the day that you was born. You can't use that. So now keep reading. And that which is wanting cannot be numbered. And that which is wanting cannot be numbered, sisters and brothers. Like I I was looking at a little small documentary a little bit early this morning and they got over in Africa, they got a drug over there that's called Kush.
So this Kush looks like it looks like regular cannabis plant, but it's not. It's made with human bones, sisters and brothers. And it's 25 times stronger than fit. See, these type of things going to make you sad. See, these people are lacking. But see, these people are in these other countries and they choosing these harsh harsh drugs to get away from reality, sisters and brothers, to get away from reality that what a and the poverty level that they living in.
That's why you got to have the Lord for that. That's why you got to have God. So now go ahead and read. I communed with my own heart, saying, go ahead. Lo, I have come to great estate. and have gotten more wisdom than all that all that were that have been before me in Jerusalem.
So notice what he's saying now. So this how you know that when Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastics, he wrote it in his old age. Pay attention to what he's saying now. He said, "I commune with my own heart, saying, "Lo, I am come the greatest snake." That means he got everything now. He said that I have gotten more wisdom than all that were before me in Jerusalem. But now when the angel came and when the Lord visited Solomon, he didn't even know how to run the people.
He didn't have no wisdom at all. You can go read that off in first kings 3. So, but now he is saying, I have got more wisdom than all of the kings that's been before me in Jerusalem. So, now what else happened? My heart and my heart had great experience with wisdom and knowledge. And I gave my heart to know wisdom.
and to know madness and quality. And I do that sometimes, sisters and brothers. I'm not going to lie to you. I study the all the time. I'm always trying to find a way to understand where they trying to twist the scriptures through mystery Babylon. I study it all the time.
He said, "And I gave my heart to know wisdom and to know madness and folly." Now, that means in order to know what they preaching off in Islam is wrong, you got to understand what they preaching about. If you want to know what they talking about in Hindu, you might need to go in and see what they talking about. If you saying you gonna run the world and he said I'm gonna give you power over the nations, then you need to go understand who running the nations right now. And those are the Freemasons, your secret societies. That's who's running the world. So in order to attest and to stand against these people, you going to have to give your heart to know a little bit of madness and folly so you can understand what they doing.
That's what Solomon did. People try to say, "Well, Solomon, he he was worshiping in those temples." No, he did not. He was not doing it, but he did build those temple for those women. I just want to throw that out there. But now, keep reading. I perceive that vexation of spirit.
He said, "I perceive that this also is vexation of spirit, and this is why." Go ahead and read. For in as much wisdom is much grief. He said, "For much wisdom is much grief." Now, wait a minute. Now, we talked about eating honey. We talked about how sweet the word of God was. But he said, "For in much wisdom is much grief." Go ahead and read.
And he that increasth knowledge increasth sorrow. And he that increaseth knowledge increasth sorrow. Sisters and brothers, this where we get the title of the lesson from. See, the older you get, the more wiser you going to get. And the more the more wisdom that you get in the word of God, the more sorrow that you going to start feeling because you going to see the true state of what the world is in. And this world is messed up, sisters and brothers.
It's messing up our children. That's why. See, if we can get the children, we can get them. We might be walking the walk, but if I can get the children, then what we going to do is start over with the next generations so we can get these so-called Christians up out of here preaching about this Jesus guy. So, what does he do? He attacks the children.
He attacks them through TV. He attacks them through your phone, through all of that stuff. Pray over it. Like I told somebody earlier, you need to be praying in every room in your house. You need to go from room to room baptizing and and casting demons out of your home. That's what you got to do, sisters and brothers.
Because it's the same thing that Job said. If my my children probably have sin, so what am I going to do? I'm going to be praying for them. So if you going to be a holy nation and a holy people, you got to pray over your home. Get them evil spirits out of your house because they all dealing in there. You just don't see him.
But now let's go off into Ecclesiastics 2. Now Ecclesiastics 2. And he going to show you that all everything in this world is nothing but vanity and vexation of the spirit. Now uh Ecclesiastics 2 and one. I said in my heart, go ahead. Go to now.
I will prove thee with mercy. Therefore enjoy the pleasure. So you hear what the Lord telling you now. He said, I said in my heart, go to now. He said, "I will prove thee with mirth." Now, he said, "Therefore, enjoy pleasure. Enjoy having a good time." But what did Solomon say about it?
And behold, go ahead. This also is vanity. It's also vanity. It's vanity. So now verse two, go ahead. I said of laughter, go ahead.
It is mad. And of m Go ahead. What do it? I'll sit down. I said, man, let me cut on some shorts on YouTube. Look at some shorts on YouTube be having me busting out laughing.
I'm having a good time. Then I turn back to CNN. Then I turn back to the news and I get back to reality and you understand you doing all this laughing and these people out here suffering. Sisters and brothers, you down here laughing so hard that the people upstairs what is he down there laughing at? What he laughing at? That's why he said of laughter is bad and of mirth what doing it when you living in a sad world the way that it is.
You got the bola virus. They done they done they done put it back over in Africa again and made and make the outbreak come out. See all of these things are planned sisters and brothers. So now verse three go ahead. I sought in my heart to give give myself unto one. Yet acquainting my heart with wisdom.
And to lay hold on father. So notice what he said. He said I said in my heart that I will give myself to wine yet acquaint my heart with wisdom. So that means he was drinking real good, but he didn't let his wisdom retain from him at all. You know, same thing with me. I might come home and have three, four bills, but I'm still thinking about the Lord at the same time.
That's what Solomon is telling you right here. He said, "I sought in my heart and gave myself unto wine, yet acquainted my heart with wisdom, and to lay hold on folly." Go ahead and read. So I might see what that good is for the son of man. which is which they say should do under this under the heaven. He said which they should do under the heaven. And all the days of their life.
All the days of thy life. So now read that verse four. Let's show you with money and riches and taking trips. Let's see if all that mean anything to Solomon. Read verse four. I made me great works.
He said, "I made me great works." Go ahead. I build me houses. I planted me vineyards. I did all of this stuff. So now read that verse five. Uh skip down to verse seven.
Skip down to verse seven. Let's show you what else Solomon had. I got me servants and maid. And servants born in my house. He he has servants and maids and even had servants born in his house. Also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me.
He had more than any one of them. Now he said, "I got me servants and maid and had servants born in my house. Also, I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were before me in Jerusalem." So what else did he do? Verse eight, go ahead. I gra I gathered me also silver and gold. And peculiar treasures.
I got all of this stuff. I got silver and gold. And I even got peculiar treasures even from the king. Those pec peculiar treasures were spices and and all of the stuff that the queen of Sheba and also that Haron which was of Tyrie all they gave all of these gifts to him now. So he had silver and gold and even the peculiar treasures of kings. Go ahead and of the providence.
I got me singers and women singers and delight and delights of the songs of men as musical instruments. And do all that sort and that of all sorts. He had all type of instruments that he had people planned for him. So now what else happened at verse n? So I was great. That's what he said.
He said, "So I was great." Go ahead. And increase more than all that were before me in Jerusalem. Also my wisdom retained remained with me. See a lot of people get rich and lose God. They lose them. He said, "I had all of this stuff now, but he said also my wisdom remain with me.
You give somebody a hundred,000, 200,000, you could be hood rich nowadays. These people will lose their mind and forget all about God. Well, I got this money. Well, I ain't coming to class today. You know, I got paid. I'm going to go have me a good time.
God understand. Try that when you stand before him in the judgment. Just try try to explain your side of this coin. Now, so he want you to be just like Solomon. I don't care how much money you got. You need to make sure that your wisdom remain with you once you get the money.
But now read that verse 10. Look what else did he do? He don't go ahead. And whatsoever my mind my eyes desire, go ahead. I kept not from them. What?
Whateversoever my eyes desired, I kept not from him. And we know he did that exclusively with the women. Now we know he did that then. Whatever his eyes desired, he had them. He had 700 wives and 300 concubines. Can you imagine that?
He had a thousand women. And whatsoever mine eyes desired, I kept not from them. But now notice what happened. I withheld not my heart from any joy. He said, I withheld not my heart from any joy. For my heart rejoiced in all all my labor.
And this was my portion of all my all my labor. He said, this is the portion of all my labor. Like I just said, you get out from work working a hard day. You might want to lay back and and drink you a cold beer and have a good time. And ain't nothing wrong with that. The Lord don't have no problem with you doing that.
But now notice what else he said at verse 12. I mean I'm I'm keep reading. Then I looked at all my works. Notice what he said. He said, "Then I looked on all my works." Go ahead. that my hands had wrought and had on on on the labor I had labored to do.
I You start over from the top. Then I looked on all my works that my hands had wrought. And on the labor that I had labored to do. And behold, all was vanity and vexation and spirit. And there was no profit under the sun. So did did you pay attention to what Solomon said?
He said he said and I looked on all the works of my hands that brought in on the labor that I had to do and all was vanity and vexation of the spirit. All of the music bands, all of the silver and gold, all of the big fancy houses and the big cars and all that. He said it was all vanity and vexation of the spirit. It didn't mean nothing. That so now keep reading. And I turned myself to behold wisdom and magic.
He said, "And I turn myself to behold wisdom and madness." Go ahead. And father, go ahead. And what can man do that cometh after the king? Even that which had been done already. So what you coming to do after me? I done laid the red carpet out from you.
What are you going to come into my kingdom and do that I haven't already done? That's what Solomon is saying. You know, I got the women singers. I had the temple built. I had all of this stuff. So he said, "I turn myself to behold wisdom and madness and folly.
For what can the man do that cometh after the king, even that which had been already done? I didn't already did it all." And what is Solomon telling you that it don't mean nothing to him, sisters and brothers. So now go ahead and read. Then I saw that wisdom excelth. He said, "Then I saw that wisdom excelth folly." Go ahead and read. As far as light excel in darkness.
If you got wisdom and you gonna have some folly out here. Try listening to some Christian music and then turn on TI and see where the spirit goes to. Just see where it go. It's going to go somewhere different. That's why we tell you to keep your mind always stayed on the Lord, sisters and brothers. So now he going to tell you how foolish men walk.
Verse 14. The wise man's eyes are are in his head. The wise man eyes are in his head. That mean you ain't walking blind. You ain't feeling for the room like this. You know where you going.
Your eyes are dead open. You know where your journey is. But now keep reading. But the fool walketh in darkness. He said, "But the fool walketh in darkness." Go ahead and read. And I perceive also that there's one event that happens to them all.
And that one event is talking none other than death. No matter how wise you are or no matter how foolish you are, one day we all going to die. But notice what he's saying now. They don't give you no reason to be walking around here acting like a fool. Which what the Bible said because he said wisdom excel at folly as far as light excel at darkness. So you got to choose the wisdom.
Sisters and brothers, you got to learn to be wise. We getting older. Then said I in my heart. as it opened as it happened to the fool. So it happened to me. He said, "What happened to the fool?
So it happened even to me." Go ahead and read. And why was I then moved more wise? Then I say in my heart there there is no remeance wise more and is in the days to come shall all be forgotten and diet the man and dieth the man as the fool. Keep reading. Therefore I hated life. Did you hear what he said sisters and brothers?
He said, he said, he said, "For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool forever, seeing that which now wins in the days to come shall be forgotten. And how died the wise man as the fool." So notice what he said at verse 17. He said, "Therefore, I hated life. I went through and I start looking at all of the instruments and the people singing." He probably said, "Cut that music off and quit playing that music." You know, when Solomon got old, he got a little grouchy in the end. He said, "Therefore, I hated life with all of the abundance of things that he had." He hated life, sisters and brothers. But there was one thing that he loved, and that was wisdom.
So now, he said, "Therefore, I hated life." Go ahead and read. Because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievious unto me. He said, "Because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievious unto me." Sisters and brothers, go ahead and read. For all is vanity and vexation of the spirit. All of it is nothing but vanity and vexation of the spirit. So now skip down to verse 20.
The verse 20. Therefore I went about to cause my heart to to despair to all that labors which I took under the sun. So now pay attention to what you read. Now pay attention. He said therefore I went about to cause all the which I took under the sun. He hated that.
He made himself hate. Everything that he made, sisters and brothers, everything that he made, he said it was nothing to him no more. He made, he caused that stuff to despair of all of the labors which he brought under the sun. So now verse verse 21, go ahead. For there is a man whose labor is in wisdom. And that and go ahead and read.
And in knowledge, go ahead. And in That's all I care about, sisters and brothers. That's all I really care about now. He there is a man who laborth in wisdom and in knowledge and in equity. Now that's what life is all about once you start getting old. Keep reading.
But yet to a man that had not labored therein, go ahead. Shall leave it to leave for its portion. And this is also this also is vanity and great evil. It's going to be vanity and a great evil because all of the labor that he did, he all that temple that Solomon built less than 400 years later, that temple was torn down. Sisters and brothers, Nebuchadnezzar came in and all that beautiful temple that they had, it was torn down to the ground. But who did he leave?
Who did he leave the kingdom to? He left it to Ria, sisters and brothers. And Ria was just straddling the fence when it came to the word of God. I might want to serve him, but then some days I didn't want to serve him. That was reaborn which eventually got reaborn killed. So now keep reading.
For what had a man of all his labor? He said, "For what had the man of all his labor?" Go ahead and read. In a vexation of his heart, go ahead. Wherein he had labored under the sun. Just think about when you get paid. You think about when you get paid, I get paid tomorrow.
You don't understand. You ain't going to keep but about $50 out of your old check. You gonna turn around and give it all away. And then what you got to do? You got to go back to work the next week just to get paid again to make that exact same amount of money. That's why he telling you you got to put all your faith and your trust in the Lord.
You can't even put all your faith and trust in your job, sisters and brothers. The only thing that you got to be able to put your mind to is the Lord. So now what else happened? For all his days are sorrows. Just think about it, sisters and brothers. For all his days are sorrows.
and great and travail great. Yay, it's heart taken not a rest in the night. This also is this is also value. You get a boss at your job, he talk crazy to you and you can't even go to sleep that night from the way that he talked to you. But what you got to do? You got to get back up and go to that same job because you know you need it and you got to make a living for your family.
That's why he said all this vanity and vexation of the spirit, sisters and brothers. That's why when you lay down at night, you need to pray over your soul. You need to ask deliverance from for from for from being a a wisdom unto yourself. So now keep reading. There is nothing better for a man. He said there is nothing better for a man.
than he should eat and drink. And he should make his soul enjoy good in his house in his labor. This is also This also I saw that is that it was from the hand of God. He saw that it was from the hand of God. Sisters and brothers, like I go out at night. Now, you know, sometimes I like to see the sun go down.
I like to I like to know exactly where the sun is setting so I know exactly what area I need to be praying to. So now, keep reading. For who can eat? Or who else can hasten unto more than I? For for God giveth a man give to a man that is good in his sight in in his sight wisdom and knowledge and joy. But to the he he giveth travail and gather and to heap them up and to and that he may give and give to him that is good to to before God.
This is also vanity and vexation of the spirit. He said, "This also is vanity and vexation of the spirit, sisters and brothers." Let's go now to Psalms the 90th chapter. Psalms 90. And we going to pick it up at verse one. Psalms 90. And we going to pick it up at verse one, sisters and brothers.
Once again, he that increase in knowledge, he going to increase sorrow. So now this is a prayer that the man of God Moses wrote that. But Moses even wrote a psalm as well, sisters and brothers. So, let's read the psalm that Moses wrote. Let's go to Psalms 90 and we gonna pick it up at verse one. Psalms 90 and pick it up at verse one.
Lord, thou has been a great dwelling place in all generations. Notice what he said. Now, he said, Lord, thou has been our dwelling place in all generations. Now, so now verse two, go ahead. Before the mountains were brought forth, Before the mountains was brought forth, go ahead. Forever thou has formed the earth and the world.
Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Now, see, that's the age of the Lord, sisters and brothers. He said before the mountains was brought forth or ever thou has formed the earth and the world. That's what we just read now. He said, "Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God." That's his age. That's how old he is.
See, Jesus don't have no beginning, sisters and brothers. So, yes, I do ask Jesus, "How old are you? come everlasting. Well, what's everlasting? Everlasting is everlasting. It don't have no time limit on it.
It don't have no beginning and it don't have no end. That's from everlasting to everlasting. But now notice what he said at verse three. Thou turnest man into destruction. He said, "Thou turnest man to destruction." Now, so God gonna get at you. If you want to destroy yourself, I will give you every instrument that you need to do it.
Why? Because you had you made that choice. He said, "Thou turn this man to destruction." But now once he turned you to destruction, what does God do? Go ahead and say, go ahead. Return you children of men. But he tell you to return you children of men.
That's why we read earlier that a just man falls seven times, but he rise up again, sisters and brothers. But once he destroys you, he said, "Return, ye children of men, because I'm destroying you because you straying away from me." So when you stray away from the Lord, the only thing that's left is destruction. You got to realize that. So now verse four, go ahead and read. For a thousand years in my in thy sight or but yesterday when it is pass. And as a watch in the night.
That's what a thousand years to him. Man, we can't man we thinking about two three years later and we be thinking man is when is that day going to come? But he said but a thousand years in his sight is as but yesterday. When is it past and it's as a watch in the night sisters and brothers. And what how long is a watch in the night? About three hours.
That's how long it is to the Lord. A thousand years. So now because he going to tell you about mankind's frailty. Verse six, go ahead. He going to tell you what it's like. Go ahead and read verse five.
Thou carest away with the with the flood. Thou carest them away as with the flood. And we talk about it all the time. Now these floods are talking about trouble. He said, "Thou carest them away as with the flood." Go ahead and read. They are as they sleep.
In the morning they are as like grass growth up. And in the morning it flourishes and growth up. And in the evening it is cut down and wither. He talking about you sisters and brothers. He talking about you. He said now he said he said they are like grass which groweth up.
Now he said in the morning it flourishing. You go from a child and then you go to being being an adult. But then he said in the evening it is cut down and wither. That's how long we here. We don't have a long time. So the time that you have left, you got to be spending it in truth and in righteousness.
Sisters and brothers, you can't do it in foolishness. But because see, Solomon had already warned you that that wisdom excel at folly is light excel in darkness. So now verse seven, go ahead and read. For we are consumed by thy anger. We are consumed by thine anger. See, we you got to understand why you having troules now.
when your troubles go over your head like water. He said, "For we are consumed by thine anger." Go ahead and read. And by thy wrath we are troubled. And by thy wrath are we troubled because God mad at you. He mad at you because see you sin in the in the dark and you don't want to bring it to him that you doing it. So what is he doing?
He going to tear you down now because see you can't hide from the Lord. So now read that verse eight. When you try to hide it, see God going to bring it to light. Verse eight. has set our iniquities before thee. Thou has set our iniquities before thee.
Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. So you ain't getting away with it now. He said, "Thou has set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance." He see where we going wrong. But see why you going wrong? I got to I got to I got to punish you for it now. But why I'm punishing you telling you to return to me?
You got to return to him. He is an extremely merciful God. More merciful than what man can ever dream about. Man don't have this kind of love. So now verse nine, go ahead and read. For our days are passed away in thy wrath.
He said, "For all our days are passed away in thy wrath." Go ahead and read. We spend our years as a tale that is told. We get old. We set our grandchildren on our lap and we tell them about all our life experiences of what we went through when we were their age. So he letting you know now. He said he letting you know.
He said, "For all our days have passed away and thy wrath and we spend our years as a tale that is told." We get I used to love to go out there in the country and talk to Charlie at night. We would sit under a we would sit under a a pecan tree out in the country all day long. He would drink his jack dangers and I slim in it and then and then would get drunk and then and be out there passed out with him out in the country. But I used to listen to all them World War II stories that you would tell me about all the time. So now verse 10, go ahead and read. The days of our years three score and 10.
The days of our years are three score and 10. Now that's 70 years. Now go ahead and read. And if by reason of strength they may be forced for years. But by reason of strength, you might make it up to 80 and even longer. But notice how older you get.
Notice what happened. Yet is by strength and labor and sorrow. No. And he said, "Yet their strength is only labor and sorrow." So one day you do all this work, then you going to turn around and you going to get old because when you increase knowledge, you going to increase sorrows, sisters and brothers. So now what else happened? For it is soon cut off.
And we fly away. and we fly away, sisters and brothers. That's what he telling us. Now, read that verse 12. Uh uh uh no, keep verse 11. I'm sorry.
Who knoweth the power of thine anger? Even according to thy fear. Who is who is so is thy wrath. So teach us under to number our days. Teach us to number our days. that we may apply our hearts for wisdom.
that we may apply our hearts under wisdom. You need to think about it now. No, I know I just turned 50. So I know, hey man, look here. Time is ticking. You better make you better make good use of your time.
Don't be around here doing idle time when you knowing that you getting older now. Like I told a brother, like I told a brother at my job, he asked me a question. I told him something about it. I said, "Listen here, brother. You see this on my face? I'm gonna use this.
You see how gray it is? I'mma use every inch of it because I want you to understand that you ain't gonna be one of them old men that you gonna be able to come to me and talk about no folly because I'mma get you right with the Lord where you supposed to be. So as you get older and you start growing using it, sisters and brothers. So now let's get down verse 15 and go ahead. Make us glad according to thy days. Now go ahead and read.
Where thou has afflicted us. In the years where wherein have we seen evil and wherein we have seen evil, he said, "Make us glad in the days where he afflicted us." And the years wherein we have seen evil, the Lord say, "Be glad about it." That's true, sisters and brothers. You Why? Why is he saying that? Cuz you made it through. You still here.
You didn't supposed to be here, but you made it. So even when the Lord afflict you and all of the years that you have seen that is evil, God want you to even rejoice in those as well. The time when you was in the back of that police car and they taking you down in there in the patty wagon, you need to rejoice about all of those days cuz guess what? You ain't in the patty wagon no more. You done made it out. So now verse 17, go ahead.
Verse 16, go ahead. Let thy works appear appear unto thy servant thy and thy glory unto thy children. And let the the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish thy work establish the works of our hands upon us. Yay. The works of our hands establish thou. Establish thou with.
Let's go to Psalms 13 now. You doing good, Ellen. bring it out. Yep. Psalms 13. Psalms 13 and we going to pick it up at verse one.
Psalms 13 and1. We talk about he that increase in knowledge increase sorrow. Let's go to Let's go to Psalms 13 now and we going to pick it up at verse one. Psalms 13 and let's pick it up at verse one. When you get there, go ahead, Eva. How long will thou forget me?
You think he said, "How long would thou forget me, oh Lord?" Go ahead and read. forever cuz you think you what you going we just read where he said a thousand years in his sight is as but yesterday. You might be going through something for 6 months and you going to feel like the Lord have forsaken you. If it feels like that then that let you know you don't have a long time sisters and brothers. He said, "How long will thou forgive me, oh Lord? Forever." Go ahead and read.
How long will thou hide thy face from thee? How long will thou hide thy face from me? How long shall I counel? How how long shall I take counsel in my in my soul? Notice what he said now. So this is what day he said.
How long shall I take counsel in my soul? Having sorrows in my heart daily. Having sorrows in my heart daily, sisters and brothers. So we we know David had had the mind of Christ. And we see that even David was having a sorrowful time. He said, "How long shall I take counsel in my soul having sorrow in my heart daily?" But why do you have that?
Because see the Lord ain't spoke back to David yet. So what do you start doing? You start taking counsel with yourself. And when you start taking counsel within yourself, nine times out of 10, you going to drop the ball, sisters and brothers. So now keep reading. How long shall my enemies exalt over me.
Consider and hear me, oh Lord my God. Go ahead and sleep of death. least I he said he said considering hear me oh Lord my God he said lighten mine eyes least I sleep the sleep of death we can always go back and go to that story when Jesus during the hour of temptation when he was telling them to wake up y'all can't watch with me one hour that was spiritual what he was saying sisters and brothers because when he he said least I sleep the sleep of death that means before he go back so he said consider and hear me oh lord my god lighten my eyes. Least I sleep the sleep of death. Verse four, go ahead. Least my enemies say I have prevailed against him.
And and those that trouble me rejoice me. Rejoice when I am moved. They rejoice when you do wrong. See, a lot of people you think on your side. A lot of people you think like you and they really don't. They just wait for you to fall off so they can rejoice when you fall off.
That's what they want. He said, he said, "Least my enemy say I have prevailed against him and those that trouble me rejoice when I move." That's why you got to learn even when something is bothering you, don't let nobody else know that it's bothering you. Don't do that. Like I say, you got to say half and then you got to leave half. You can't tell people everything. So, you got to act as nothing is wrong.
So, now keep reading. But I have trusted in thy mercy. He said, "But I have trusted in thy mercy." Go ahead. My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the Lord because he had dealt bountifully with me. So don't forget about the goodness that the Lord do too now.
So even when things going wrong, you still got to trust in the Lord. He said, "But I have trusted in thy mercy. My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation." No matter what's going on or how wrong it is, you know, one day we going to have eternal life. Because see, troubles don't last forever. One day the troubles are going to be gone, sisters and brothers, and you ain't gonna have it no more. So now, let's go to St.
Luke the 19th chapter. St. Luke 19. Even Jesus was sad. You know, we could have put Isaiah 53 in here, but I didn't because we just read that last week. When he when he said when he said he gets sorrowful all the time.
He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. He was acquainted with it. That means grief was his friend. That was his acquaintance. That's what Jesus had to deal with. And guess what?
We in servants of God, when we increasing this knowledge, you going to have to do the same thing. But now, let's go to St. Luke the 19th chapter and we going to deal a little bit with Israel now because when you deal with the Lord's people, they the apple of his eye. So, he knew that at some point in time that the city was going to be ravaged and the wise was going to be raped. He knew that was coming to Jerusalem. And we going to show you that he even got sorrowful for Jerusalem.
Sisters and brothers, let's go to St. Luke 19 now and we going to pick it up at verse 28. St. Luke 19 and we going to pick it up at verse 28. When you get there, go ahead Ell. And when he had thus spoken, he went before ascending ascending up into ascending up to Jerusalem.
And it came to pass that when he was nigh to be and Bethany at the mount at called Mount of Olives, he went to sent two disciples, two of his disciples, saying, "Go to the children, go to the village against you, in which at which at you entering you shall find a coat tied, wherein Yet a man that let never sat loose him and bring him hither. And a man shall and if any man asked you, why do you loose him? Thus shall ye say unto him. The Lord had need of him. And they And they that went went their way and found it found even as it had said unto them, Go ahead. And as it were as they were loosening the coat, the owner thereof said unto them, "Why do thou loose their coat?" And they said they said, "The Lord had need of him." Go ahead.
And he they brought him to Jesus, and sat and cast their garments upon the colt, and sat Jesus thereon. And as it went, as they went, they spread their clothes in the way. And when they were come nigh even now to the desert to descent of the Mount of Olives, the multitude of disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all them, for all the mighty works that he had seen, that they had seen that they had seen. So when they when they went what else happened after that? Verse 38. Saying blessed be the king that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Peace in heaven and glory to the highest. And the and some and some of the Pharisees come among the multitude and said unto them, "Master, rebuke thy disciples." He said, "And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples." They think Jesus was going to turn on his own men. So what did what what what happened after that? Verse 40, go ahead. And he answered and said unto them, go ahead. I tell you that if these should come to peace, the stones shall immediately cry out.
You hear what the Lord said, sisters and brothers. He said he and he answered and said unto them, I tell you that if these if these should not hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. So basically what he was saying these guys going to be if I ste once I leave now. So he these are going to be the god that's going to give the word of god to you after I die. So now verse 41 go ahead. And when he came when he come near and behold the city he wept over he and when he was come near he beheld the city and wept over it.
Sisters and brothers go ahead read. saying, if thou knew, if thou known even thou at the least of this thy day, the day the things which belong unto thy peace. Go ahead now that they have hid from me, hid from thine eye. So notice what he said. He said, "If thou hast known even thou at the least of these uh he said he said if thou hast known even thou at least in this thy day the things which belonged unto thy peace." But now while they hid from thine eyes because see they didn't know that the city was going to be destroyed. But now verse 43, go ahead.
For the day shall come upon thee, go ahead that thine enemy shall cast trench about thee. He said thy enemy shall cast a trench about thee. Now, so this trench is none other than when Titus came and destroyed Jerusalem. Now, but keep reading. And can pass thee around and keep thee in every in on every side. And they shall lay thee even with the ground.
And thy children with thee. And they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another. because they they because thou knowest it's not the time of th visitation. They didn't know what was going to happen, sisters and brothers. See, 40 years after Jesus died, the city of Jerusalem was destroyed and the whole nation was scattered out as slaves all over the world, sisters and brothers. So, let's go read that prophecy.
Let's go to Ezekiel the 5th chapter and let's show you why Jesus had wept over the city. So, even Jesus was a man of sorrows, sisters and brothers. You know, he that increase in knowledge, you gonna increase sorrows that's gonna come along with. Let's go to Ezekiel 5. Ezekiel 5 and we gonna pick it up at verse one. Ezekiel 5 and one.
So now he gonna give he give instructions on what to do. Go ahead and take big balances of weights and divide their and divide the hair. He wanted you to divide the hair. So you we all know that you can't number all the hairs on your head. We know it's a lot now. So he said, he said, "And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife.
Take thee a barber's razor and cause it to pass upon thy head and upon thy beard. Then take the balances to weight, and then he told them to divide the hair." So now verse two, go ahead. Thou shalt burn the burn with fire the third part a third part in the midst of the city. So he said, "And thou shall burn with fire a third part of the midst of the city." Now, so now go ahead and read. When the days of the siege are fulfilled, and thou art take a third part, and smite it about with a knife. And he says, so now third of the city going to be on fire now.
And then he said, and thou shalt take a third part and smite about it with a knife. That means that a third part going to be killed. So a third part of the city going to be on fire and a third part of the people are going to be killed. So what's going to happen to the other third part of the people? And a third part shall be scattered in the wind. Now they going to be scattered all over the Mediterranean world as slaves.
And I will draw out a sword again after me. And I'm going to draw out a sword after them even once they are scattered in the wind. Sisters and brothers, we gonna hang them on a few trees. We gonna put we gonna pour hot coal oil on them and then put feathers on them. We gonna tie them up the horses on on legs and we gonna pull them apart. We gonna do all of that to these people.
Now, so now verse three. Thou shalt also there uh thou shall also thereof a few a few in number and bind them in thy skirt. Then take them again and cast them in the midst of the fire and burn them. Burn them in the fire. There uh there shall a fire come before come forth into the house of Israel. Thou thus sayeth the Lord God.
This is Jerusalem. He said thus sayeth the Lord God. He said this is Jerusalem. Now go ahead and read. I have set in the midst of the nations. I have set it in the midst of the nations.
In the country that are routed about her. and she has changed my she has changed my judgments into wickedness. That's what we did in Jerusalem. Now they say she have changed my judgments and wickedness. Go ahead and read more than the nations more than the other nations that were before. So we know that we know that Jerusalem was totally wicked by this time and the Lord had to get these people out.
So now keep reading. and my statutes more than the countries that were around about her. They refused my judgments and my statutes. They have they have not walked in them. They have not walked in them. Verse seven, go ahead.
Therefore sayeth the Lord God, because ye multiply more than the nations that are round about you, and you have not walked in my statutes, neither in my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are around about you. No, no, no. Keep reading. You good. Therefore sayeth the Lord God, behold, I even I am against thee, and will execute the judgments in the midst of thee in the sights of the nation. And I will do these things I will do in thee, which I have done not which I have not done.
and unto ear unto I will do no more like like no more the like because of thy abominations. Verse 10. Keep flowing. Therefore the father shall eat the sons in the midst of thee. So notice what he said. Now the city was going to be on fire.
He was going to take them out. But then in verse 10 he said therefore the father shall eat the sons in the midst of thee. Now, so when the when the city of Jerusalem was being destroyed, we turned to cannibalism, sisters and brothers. He said, "Therefore, the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee." Go ahead and read. And the sons shall eat the fathers. And I will execute judgment in thee.
And the whole remnant of thee, I will scatter into the wind. So after I got through killing, this why Jesus wept over the city. Now he said, "And I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all winds." Verse 11, go ahead. Wherefore, as I live, said the Lord God. Surely because of thy has defiled my sanctuary, which all thy detestable things, and with all thy abominations, there therefore I will also diminish. He said, therefore, I'm going to also diminish you.
now. So you ain't going to be multiplying around the way that you was doing in the midst of the other nations. Now he said, "Therefore, I will also diminish you." So he diminished us in a whole lot of areas, sisters and brothers, that we would even going to forget when his Sabbath days were. We was going to forget all of that. That's why you got people keeping Looney Solar and Solar and all of these different foolery that's out here now because he diminished that from us. But now verse 12, go ahead.
Neither shall mine eyes spare. Oh, thank you. He said, "Neither shall mine eyes spare." Go ahead. Neither will I have pity. Neither will I have any pity. So now verse 12.
The third part of thee shall die with pestilence. Indeed. He said, "A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence." Go ahead. And with the famine shall I be consumed? Shall I be consumed in the midst of thee? And a third part shall fall by swore round about thee.
and I will scatter a third part into the wind and I will draw out a sword after them. And I'm going to draw out a sword after them. That's the reason why Jesus wept over the city, sisters and brothers, he knew what was was coming just some 40 years later. So now let's go now to Amos the 8th chapter. Amos 8. And we going to show you that when the nation was sorry with what with what happened to Jesus.
Let's go to Amos the 8th chapter now. Amos 8. And we going to pick it up at verse 7. Amos the 8th chapter and we going to pick it up at verse 7. Amos 8 and we going to pick it up at verse 7. 8 and 7.
Are you not as children of the Ethiopian unto me, oh children of Israel? That's a good one. But uh but no, ain't nothing wrong with that though. That let you know that the children of Israel are black. Ain't nothing wrong with that. But let's go to Amos 8 now.
Amos 8. And we gonna pick it up at verse seven. Athe come from come from the the the the Greek word athop which means black. That's where they get the word Ethiopia from. They get it from athe. So now let's go to Amos 8 and pick it up at verse seven.
Verse seven. And the Lord has sworn by excellency of Jacob. Surely I will never I will forget any of thy works. Shall not the land of the Shall not the land tremble for tremble for this? And everyone mourn that dwelleth therein? And and it shall rise up holy as a flood and and it shall cast out dr and drown by a flood of Egypt.
and and shall come to pass that that in that day the Lord God sayeth the Lord God that I will cause the sun to go down at noon. So now this is when the nation have wept over Jesus. Now so they unleavened bread and Passover was very sorrowful. He said, "And it shall come to pass in that that day, sayeth the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon." Because when Jesus died, the sun was up. But you got to take the Passover at night. So he caused it to be dark in the noon time.
Now go ahead and read. And I will darken the earth in the clear day. All of this happened when Jesus died on Calvary. What he said in the psalm. So now verse 10, go ahead. And I will turn fast into morning.
He said, "And I will turn your feast in the morning." Now I'm going to turn your feast in the morning. And your song into lamentation. And all your beautiful songs that you was going to sing at the feast, I'm going to turn all of them to lamentation. And bring up the sackcloth upon the all loins, and a boldness upon every egg. and make a morning of and only son and end thereof as a bitter day. So now he said so now.
And I will turn your feast in the morning and all your sons in the lamentations and I will bring up sackcloth upon every loins and baldness upon every head and I will make it as a morning of an only son. And at the end of at the end as a bitter day. Behold the day come, sayeth the Lord, that I will send a famine in the land. That's what So now he said, "Behold, the days come, say the Lord, that I will send a famine in the land." Go ahead and read. Not a famine of bread. But not a famine of bread.
Nor a thirst of water. But a hearing of the word of the Lord. And that famine is here, sisters and brothers. Don't nobody really hear the true word of God no more. So now keep reading. And they shall wander from sea to sea and from from the north even to the east.
And they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord and shall not find it. They going to go everywhere to try to find the word of the Lord, but they are not going to be able to find it, sisters and brothers. So now verse 13, go ahead. In the day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst. The fair virgins and the young men gonna faint for thirst. Why?
Why did he say the fair virgins and the young men? Because they don't have no elders to teach them. Sisters and brothers, all of the elders going to be dead or they going to be scattered. That's why we living in a generation now with kids that don't know the Lord at all. They really don't know him. So what do they do?
They turn to their peers and they raise them. They raise themselves together. That's why we got a generation of children that's being taught wrong. So now let's go to Psalm 69 now. Psalm 69 and we gonna pick it up at verse one. Psalm 69 and we going to pick it up at verse one.
You doing great. Keep going, baby. Psalm 69 and we going to pick it up at verse one. 69 and1. Like I tell people all the time, boy, when you sit in this seat right here, you better come with boy paint on because one thing about Reed, it's not an easy job to do. But you but we can all do it because what is God?
He not a respectctor of persons. So the same spirit that he put on everybody else, he'll put on every man, woman, and child in this room when it come to the knowledge of God. So yeah. So let's go to Psalm 69. Now we going to pick it up at verse one. Psalm 69.
And we gonna pick it up at verse one. When you get there, go ahead, bang it out, elder. Save me, oh Lord. Save me, oh God, from the waters. From the waters come into my soul. So now he says, "Save me, oh God, for the waters have come in into my soul." So now we got David.
When David got down, he didn't go talk to Joab about it. He didn't even go talk to a hyel or any of those other guys. David talked to the Lord, sisters and brothers. He talked to the Lord. He said, "Save me, oh God." He said, "For the waters are coming in unto my soul." So now verse two, go ahead and read. I sink in deep m I sink in deep m.
Where there is no standing. I am in the deep waters where the floods overflow. Where the floods overflow me. I remember my when they threw me in the in the nine ft for the first time and I really had to swim and I couldn't feel that bottom and I'm up here dog pedaling just to stay at the top. That's what he talking about right here. See, sometimes these troubles can go over your head, sisters and brothers.
So now verse three, go ahead and read. I am weary of crying. I'm weary of my crying. I'm weary of it. I cry so much that I done got weary of you crying all the time. My throat is dried.
My eyes fail while I wait for my God. And he said, "My eyes fail while I wait for my God." See, now we talk. This is Jesus talking now. He said, "I'm weary of my crying. My throat is dried." He said, "My eyes fell while I wait for my God." Why did he say his eyes start to fail? Because, see, Jesus lost a little confidence for a little minute, y'all.
When during a time of his temptations, when he was sweating so much that it was like drops of blood and he couldn't stand. So who came and ministered unto Jesus? The angels. So sometimes you can get so weary that you can lose sight of how good and how true the Lord truly is. Because see this is why because he was a man of sorrows. This is why he didn't like it.
Verse four. They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs on my head. They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. That's how many enemies that Jesus truly had then and even today. They still hate him, sisters, brothers. They hate the name.
They hate him. That's why everybody that's writing these books that's that's that's dealing with mystery Babylon are trying to teach you against the name. They don't call on the name. So therefore, they don't want you to call on the name. That's why they teach you that it's bad. You need to pay attention who's telling you that.
So now keep reading. They would they that which destroy me being my enemies wrongfully are mighty. Then I restored that which I took not away. What is he talking about there? He's talking about eternal life. He's talking about salvation.
Now so he said the enemies was more than the hairs of my head, but they was my enemies wrongfully now. And then he said they are mighty. That means they was men of power. But then he said, "Then I restored that which I took not away." When whoever looked on Jesus when he died on the cross, he restored salvation to him, sisters and brothers. So now keep reading. Oh God, thou knowest my foolishness.
And my sins are not hid from thee. So now we talking. Now this David talking again now. But that's how you know because Jesus had no sin at all. So he said, "Oh God, thou knowest my foolishness now and my sins are not hid from thee." Verse six, go ahead. Let let not him that wait on thee, oh God of host, go ahead, be ashamed for my sake.
So now let not them that wait on thee, oh Lord God of host, be ashamed for my sake. Let those let let not those that seek thee confounded be confounded by for my sake, oh God of Israel. So he even don't even want the ones that's truly serving the Lord to even be confounded, sisters and brothers. So now verse seven, go ahead. Because for thy sake I have been born reproach. He said, for thy sake I have borne reproach.
Shame has covered my face. Shame that covered my face when I was God. So now I had to get up the front. I had to get up off the throne to die for your to to die for the sins of the people. So he said, "Because for thy sake I have borne reproach." He said, "Shame covered my face." Verse eight, go ahead. I have become a stranger unto my brother.
And an alien unto my mother's children. See, that's the real lady. And the a real aliens is right here on this earth. They think they out of space. No, they right here. They're in space.
They right off in here. So now he said he said I become a stranger unto my brethren and an alien unto my mother's children. Verse n go ahead. For the zeal of thine house have eaten me up. He said for the zeal of thine house have eaten me up. And the reproaches of them that reproach thee.
have fallen upon me. He said now I'm going to have to be the scapegoat. The things that displease you father. He said I'm going to bear all of these reproaches now they are going to fall on me. That means all of the sins of the people, they gonna fall on me. So I'm gonna bear all of this reproach.
So now verse 10, go ahead and read. When I have wept, when I wept. So we hear about Jesus crying again. So we telling you that Jesus was a man of sorrows. Now he said, when I wept, go ahead and read. And chasing my soul with fasting.
That was my reproach. That was to his reproach. When Jesus fasted for everybody, was nobody listening to him. That was for his reproach. I made sackcloth also my garment. And I become a proverb to them.
They that sit in the gate speak against me and I was I was a song of the drunkers. But as for me, but now he said everybody talked about it. He said I was as a song of drunkers. Now, but notice what Jesus did. See, Jesus fought back with prayer. He said, "But as for me," go ahead and read.
My prayer is unto thee. My prayer is unto thee, oh Lord. Sometimes we go pray to our friends about our problems. Can you intercede for me? Can you pray for me? Yeah, we'll pray for you.
But have you prayed? Have you prayed about it? See, that's the question that you got to ask. Of course, we'll pray for you, but you got to pray for yourself. See, sometimes you can't just go to people and ask for them to intercede you. That's a sign of weakness.
And God ain't in the business of making weak Christians. You got to learn to be strong, man. It's all about strength. Like I said, when I cried out there behind that tree, I cried for the last time. I'mma cry blood now because because this is what it takes. This what it takes to make this mission.
So now, keep reading verse 13. This is one of the most important verses in the Bible. Verse 13. As for me, my prayer is unto thee, oh God, oh Lord, in an acceptable time. in an acceptable time. Oh God, in in the multitudes of thy mercy, hear me.
And in thy truth, in the truth of thy salvation. And in the truth of our salvation. When you know you going to get salvation, it don't matter how hard it is in the world now because you know where you're going, sisters and brothers. Your eyes are open. Let's go to St. John 7 now.
And we only got a few more after this. Let's go to St. John the 7th chapter. St. John 7. And we going to pick it up at verse one.
Y'all be thinking I'm playing. No, man. Hey, the gloves done came off now. I'm going in for the Lord. I don't care what nobody say about me or none of that. We going in for the Lord in these last days cuz hey, I I I don't want no doubt when I stand before the Lord that that that he did all he could to make this mission.
He don't deserve to be in, but just just let me squeeze in through the side door and I'll be happy. Let's go to St. John 7 now. And we going to pick it up at verse one. St. John 7.
And we going to pick it up at verse one. See, we we we read about our time. So, we need to be reminded on just how much time we really truly have, sisters and brothers. And it ain't time to play no more. Even with the children, like I told my son, you 16. One day you going to be you going to wake up, you going to be 26.
You going to get older and older. And it's going to come real quick once you get around that 20 age mark. And you just going to be aging. And hopefully as you get older, more wisdom, knowledge, and understanding come along with it. So now let's go to St. John 7 and we gonna pick it up at verse one.
St. John 7 and 1. After these things, Jesus walked into Galilee. For he would not walk in jewelry. Now go ahead and read. Because the Jews sought to kill him.
So this man was the one that died on the cross. the one that had his eyes pierced and the blood and the water came out. He wouldn't even walk around in Jerusalem because the Jews had sought to kill him. Sisters and brothers, see, we get a little opposition through people mouth when it come through the word of God. We read last week, it also cost some of these guys daylight. But now, keep reading.
Now the Jews feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brother therefore said unto him, Go ahead. Depart hence and go into Judea. Thy disciples that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. This his family. Now these ain't talking about the disciples or brethren that's walking around.
These was his actual brothers. They was making fun of him. But I just want to let you know every brother that he had in the end turned to the Lord. Now all of them turned to him in the end. So his brethren therefore said unto him, Depart his, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the worst that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth anything in secret.
And he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do thing, do these things, show thyself to the world. You know, just think about it. Joseph went through the same thing with his brothers. His brothers was talking crazy to him. But what happened in the end?
They all made up. They all wept on one another. That's the same thing with Jesus. Now, if you say you going to do all all of these things, then go show yourself openly to the world. So now verse five, go ahead and read. For neither did his brethren believe in neither did his brethren believe in him, sisters and brothers.
So now, but notice what Jesus says. See, you ain't got to always just take no junk off nobody when they talk to you about God. So sometimes you got to meekly give it back to him and he going to shut them up right here. So now read that verse six. And then Jesus said unto them, then Jesus said unto them, go ahead and read. My time is not yet come.
But your time is always ready. Your time is always ready. You could be driving in the car driving normal. Somebody might be on their cell phone, switch over in the other lane, and hit you head on. See, you don't know when you going to die. See, Jesus knew everything.
Jesus knew when he was going to die. You didn't know when you was going to die. Jesus chose his disciples and friends. You might not be able to choose your Judas or friends like that. So, he said, "Your time is always ready." But now, notice what he said because see, he going he getting ready to check his brothers again right here. Read that verse seven.
The world cannot hate you. That's what So, he checking his brothers. He said, "The world cannot hate you." Go ahead and read. But me, it hated. But me in Haiti, he ain't lying about it. Sisters and brothers, you go go look in your average Catholic church.
You going to see more Masonic symbols in there than you going to ever see. You going to see upside down crosses and everything that's dealing with the occult. But what are they doing though? They calling on the name of Jesus even though they dealing with Lucifer the light bearer. So now at verse seven, he said, "The world cannot hate you, but me it hated." Go ahead and read. Because I testify of it.
That the works thereof are evil. Did Solomon tell you that already? He already told you that the works thereof are evil. Now, so now let's go to Hebrews the 4th chapter. Hebrews 4 and we going to pick it up at verse 14. That's why we got to be on it, sisters and brothers.
We got to be on our walk and we can't fade. See, sometimes you might feel like you falling off. Just think about every day when you walk. Did I eat any pork? Did I tell a lie? Did do am I am I a man and I start liking men?
If you ain't doing none of that stuff and going against the law, you going to have some bad days, but you still in good standing with the Lord, sisters and brothers. So give yourself more of a pat on the back and stop beating yourself up so much because you can beat yourself up to the point to where you feel you're not good enough to serve God and you don't want to be that way. You want to keep your confidence. That's why if we can go to Hebrews 10 and he tell you don't cast your confidence away. So now Hebrews 4, Hebrews 4. And now let's pick it up at verse 14.
Hebrews 4 and14. Seeing then being then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heaven. Jesus the son of God. Oh, let us hold fast our profession. Now he says, "Seeing then that we have a great high priest now that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our profess our profession." When you got the Lord on your side, who going to be against you? So Yes, sir.
You ain't going to have nobody against you. So now verse 15, go ahead and read this. What the Lord is there for when you sorrowful. Verse 15, go ahead. For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with with with feelings of our infirmities. But was at all points tempted as we are.
Yet without sin. See, that should motivate you to keep going. That should motivate you to keep going. He said, "For we have not in our priest which cannot be touched with the filling of our infirmities." How can I help you when I never been through the pain that you've been through? Like, I really don't talk a lot about it, but you know, when I do talk about the struggles in the past that I had with drugs, how can I help the people that's in Cincinnati that are on drugs unless I can tell them that you can overcome it yourself? So, sometimes you got to let people know that are struggling with certain demons and they can't get out of them.
Then you got to understand, you got to pray over it, sisters and brothers. You got to cast You got to cast these devils up out of here. So now verse 16, go ahead and read. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace. Man, while you walking up, let me you doing this. You saluting the Lord while you on your way up because you know you fought a good fight.
So let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace. That we may obtain mercy. and find grace to help them in time of need. That's what we here for. And find grace to help in time of need. That's what the walk is for.
That's why we got to be strong. You got to learn to be strong because now we got to help people that's in their time of need. Remember when you was crying all the time, I can't do it. You call your girlfriends. Now you done got strong. Now you got to convert your brother.
You got to be there for them. That's what the walk is all about. So now let's go to Philippians 2. Philippians 2. And we gonna pick it up at verse one. Philippians 2.
And we gonna pick it up at verse one. One day it's gonna all be over, sisters and brothers. Or this whole this this God that we waiting on, one day he is going to come and he going to come back to this earth boldly and you just got to be ready for when he come. So now, Philippians 2 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Philippians 2 and we going to pick it up at verse one. We got three more after this.
Philippians 2 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Notice what Paul getting ready to tell us right here. Just a couple of words in exhortation. But don't stop on your knowledge now because you get a little sad. You still got to learn to keep going. You got to fight.
You got to fight for your family. You got to fight for your kids because the Lord gonna show you. Remember how hardhead you was when you came to in the word and he going to do what to us? What? he going to do to Paul. I'mma show you things that you must suffer for my name's sake because I waited on you for so long.
So now I'mma show you what you got to go through. You going to get the oppositions and people hate you and talking about you all the time. But you got to learn you got to learn to deal with it, sister. So now Philippians 2, Philippians 2, like I said, just think about God eats potato chips and you will get there. God, Galatians, E, Ephesians, potato chips, Philippians, and chips, Colossians. That's how that's how that's how that's how that's how that's how Jadiah taught me and I never I never I never diverted from it cuz I didn't know the books.
So, he said just think about God eat potato chips. I got it. Chips. There you go, baby. Philippians 2. Philippians, we got some potatoes back there in the back if anybody want to take some home.
Let's go to Philippians 2 now and let's pick it up at verse one. Philippians 2 and one. If there be any consolation in Christ, if there be any consolation in Christ, consolations means comfort, sisters and brothers. If there be any consolation in Christ, go ahead and read. If any comfort of love, if any comfort of love, go ahead. If any fellowship of spirit, go ahead.
If any vows of mercy, go ahead. Fulfill ye my joy. He said, fulfill ye my joy. You mean this is joyful, sisters and brothers. He said, "If of any fellowship of the spirit, if any vows and mercies," he said, "Fulfill ye my joy." Go ahead and read. That ye may be likeminded, having the same love, being in being of one accord, one mind.
And being of one mind. That's where a church got to be. You got to be on one accord and you got to be on one mind. And if you ain't on that, then it's not going to work, sisters and brothers. So now verse three, go ahead and read. Let nothing be done with stripe and vain.
Let nothing be done through strife and vain glory. It ain't no vain glory in this. Did y'all pay attention to what what John the Baptist said? He must increase and I must decrease. We got to decrease. It ain't about being famous or none of that stuff.
We keeping these doors open for stragglers whoever want to come in here and get the word of God. So we said let nothing be done through strife and vain glory. But this is how you operate. But in loneliness of mind, let us esteem each other more than ourselves. Let let esteem each other's better than ourselves, sisters and brothers. See, that is the true humility.
That's the true humility. That's why, man, we don't mind doing stuff for people. That's why we do food giveaways because what we we becoming fathers. And what do fathers do? The fathers lay up for the children, not the children for the fathers. We got to lay up for them.
That's why Hey, listen here. Let's roll. But now, keep reading. Let not every man Let look not every man on his own things. Look not every man on his own things. But every man also on things of others.
Let this mind be in you. Which is in Christ Jesus. He said, "Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus, sisters and brothers." The mind of Christ. Let's skip down to verse 12. Verse 12. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always always obeyed, not in my presence only, but much more in my absence, work out thy own salvation with fear and trembling.
That's how you got to do it, sisters and brothers. You got to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Your salvation, you got to work it out for yourself. But you, hey, you got He want you to do it with a group of people, but you got to work out your own salvation yourself. That's something that you got to do because the church ain't going to be we we might be standing at the finish line. Oh, she going to m she going to pass.
She passed and made it through. That's what we going to be doing, sisters and brothers. But you got to work it out yourself. So now keep reading. For it is God which is workketh in you both to will and to do it good pleasure. Do all things without memory and dispute.
See, do all things without murmuries and disputes, sisters and brothers. Verse uh verse 15, go ahead. That ye may be blameless. That you may be blameless. And harmless and harmless. Jesus told you to be harmless as a dove.
Now he said that you may be blameless and harmless. Sons of God. The sons of God. Without rebuke. In the midst of crooked and perverse nation. In the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, sisters and brothers.
And ain't no nation on the planet more crooked and perverse than America. But guess what you got to do? You still got to work out your own salvation. We understand that Satan run these run these nations. But see, God still run the world. So you got to be there.
You got to understand who on your side. So now, what else does it say? Among whom ye shine as lights in the world. Holding forth the word of life. That's what the Bible is. He said, "Holding forth the word of life." Go ahead and read.
That I may rejoice in the day of Christ. That I have run that I have not run in vain. Neither labored in vain. That's the reason why I said what I said. We going to be at the We going to be on the right side cheering the people that we knew. Come on in.
We know you made it now. He said, "Holdeth forth the word of life that I may rejoice in the day of Christ and that I have run in vain, neither have labored in vain." you preach in front of. You have people that you preach in front of every week and they still don't make the mission. So in Paul's eyes, he said, "I labored in vain for that." So now verse uh let's skip down to verse 19. Verse 19, go ahead. But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send to Midius to Mobius shortly unto you that I may also be of good comfort when I when I know your state.
For I have no man for I have for I For I have no man likeminded who naturally care for your state. Go clear. For all seek their own things which are in God and start it over verse 21. Start that verse one more time from the top. Go here. For all seek their own, not the things which are in Christ Jesus.
Jesus Christ. But we know the proof of him that you know the proof of him that as a son of the father had served me would serve with me in the gospel. He therefore he hoped him. Therefore I hope to send for presently so soon so I shall see how it will go with me. But I trust in the Lord and also myself shall come shortly. Yet I suppose it is necessary to send I don't know what excuse apparatus apparatus my brother and companion to labor and to fellowship fellow fellow fellow soldier but the messenger and that he ministered to my wants.
For he longed after you and was of heaviness, full of heaviness, because ye had heard that he had been sick. So now this this apparatus, he had got sick now and he was one of Paul's fellow soldiers and companion in Christ. He said, for he longed after you all and was full of heaviness because he had heard that he had been sick. Verse 27, go ahead. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death. But God had mercy on him.
And not on him only, but me also. Least I should sorrow upon sorrow. Least I should have I'm already sorry. I'm already sorrowful all the time. So if I lose one of my fellow soldiers in Christ, that's the same thing in this room. That's going to be sorrow upon sorrow, sisters and brothers.
So now verse 28, go ahead. I send him therefore more carefully than that when you see him you may rejoice and I will be there less sorrowful. Receive him therefore in the Lord which with gladness and hold such reputation. Because the works of Christ he has died unto death. He said, "Because of the works of Christ, he was not unto death." Go ahead and read. Not regarding his life.
To supply your lack of service unto me. To supply your lack of service toward me. Let's go back to Psalms, sisters and brothers. Let's go to Psalms the 6th chapter. Psalm 6. And we going to pick it up at verse one.
No, you didn't. Psalm 6. And we going to pick it up at verse one. Psalm 6 and we going to pick it up at verse one. No, you ain't. You're doing excellent, Elder.
You're doing excellent. Keep going. You ain't going. Let's go to Psalm 6 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Psalm 6 and1. Oh Lord, rebuke me not in thy name.
Neither chasten me with thy displeasure. Have mercy upon me for I am weak. Notice I am weak. You you hear what he said, sisters and brothers. He said, "Oh Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasen me in thy heart displeasure." He said, "Have mercy upon me, oh Lord, for I am weak." When you going to admit that? Sometimes you going to get weak.
You going to fall off. You going get weak. You got to admit that. You got to admit that you are flesh and blood. And sometimes you going to drop off the wagon. Now he said, "Have mercy upon me, oh Lord, for I am weak." Go ahead and read.
Oh Lord, heal me. My bones are vexed. For my bones are vexed. Like I tell people all the time, you get people that pray oh to to get delivered from from certain infirmities, but it don't happen. For one, they ain't got the faith. And for two, they don't ask them right.
They don't ask him right. And you don't have the faith that the Lord can heal you. That's why you have a lot of people that once they pray to the unseen God, they don't get healed because they don't have the faith. So now he said, "Have mercy upon me, oh Lord, for I am weak." He said, "Oh Lord, heal me for my bones are vex." Go ahead and read. My soul also sore. My soul is also sore vex.
But thou But thou, oh Lord, how long? He said, "But thou, oh Lord, how long?" Go ahead. Return, O Lord. Deliver my soul. Oh, save me for thy mercy sake. That's what you got to that's what you got to do to the Lord now.
He said, "Return, oh Lord, deliver my soul. Oh, save me for thy mercy's sake." Cuz verse five, go ahead and read. For in death there is no remembrance of thee. In the grave so shall give thee thanks. He said in the grave, "Who shall give thee thanks?" Verse six, go ahead. I am weary.
I am weary with my groaning all the night. I make my bed to swim. I water my couch with my tears. My eyes consume are consumed because of grief. It's waxed old because of my enemies. He said it wax old because of all my enemies.
Keep reading. Depart from me all ye workers of iniquity. He said, "Depart from me all ye workers of iniquity." Go ahead. For the Lord had heard my voice of weeping. The Lord had heard my supplications. The Lord will receive my prayers.
He going to receive it. That's if you walking right now. You got to be walking right because what do we know about the Lord? He don't hear the prayers of sinners. So you got to be walking right. Let's go to Psalms 30.
Psalms 30. And we got one more after this. Let's go to Psalms 30 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Psalms 30 and we gonna pick it up. We going to pick it up at verse one. Psalms 30 and we gonna pick it up at verse one.
And like I said, uh uh one thing I want to kind of add in for everybody, your body is going to agree with anything that you tell it to do. If you don't believe you're good enough, you're not going to be good enough because you preaching it to your soul. You can't do that to yourself. You gota you gota you got to always keep yourself confident. If you don't keep yourself confidence, then who going to do it? You can't lean on the Lord when you ain't got no confidence in yourself.
So you want to always keep yourself where you show. Whatever you speak to your soul, that's what's going to happen. So remember that. No, no, Lord, I'm a child of the Lord. No, I can do this. You got to preach that to your body.
So now let's go to Psalms 30 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Psalms 30 and we going to pick it up at verse one. When you get there, go ahead and read. You never know and you are always doing good. This might be the lesson that get you in the kingdom. So now Psalms 30 and let's pick it up at verse one.
Psalms 30 and1. I will extol thee, oh Lord. He said, I will extol thee, oh Lord. For thou has lifted me up. And thou has not made my foes rejoice over me. He has not made my foes to rejoice over me.
So now here come the joy of it. Now verse two. Oh Lord my God, go ahead. I cry unto thee. And thou has healed me. People that's dealing with infirmities online, you better listen to what we saying.
We not telling you not to go to the doctor, but you need to take it to the Lord, sisters and brothers. That's who gonna give you the true healing bomb. See, it's not cancer that kills people. It's the news that you get after you get the cancer. What kill you? Because a lot of people lose confidence in their self.
So, you got to keep going. You got to you got to believe in your heart that whatever you going through that God going to deliver you out of it. He said, "Oh Lord, my God, I cried unto thee and thou has healed me." Verse three, go ahead. Oh Lord, thou has brought my soul up from the grave. Thou has brought my soul up from the grave. Thou has kept me alive.
That I should not go down into the pit. See, that's what when your days are bad, this what you need to think about. You ain't dead. Like I say all the time, it's better to be seen than viewed. So as long as you alive, you got a chance, don't it? He said, "Oh Lord, thou has brought up my soul from the grave.
Thou has kept me alive that I should not go down into the pit." So now verse four, go ahead. Sing unto the Lord, oh ye saints of his. And give thanks to the to give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. Give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. When you think it's all going bad and you can't do nothing more, that's when you got to cry to the Lord. See his strength and weakness.
We read that last week. When you weak, the Lord is strong. Where where flesh fails, the spirit prevails, sisters and brothers. So now verse five, go ahead. For his anger endureth for for the moment. His anger endureth for the moment.
But in his favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night. But joy cometh in the morning. But it's going to be joy in the morning. It's going to be joy in the morning. He even told you that I'mma give you also the white in the morning star if you make this vision.
So the joy going to be in the morning, sisters and brothers. As a matter of fact, it ain't going to even get dark in Jerusalem no more once sit on the throne. We can show you that it ain't going to get dark. We can read that to you, sisters and brothers. But anyway, let's go now. Let's go to Revelations 21.
Revelations 21 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Revelations 21 and1. And this is the last spot. Revelations 21 and we going to pick it up at verse one. This is this is new Jerusalem, sisters and brothers. This is the father's kingdom.
This one is going to be that joy in the morning. This what we getting ready to read about right here. So now, Revelations 21 and we going to pick it up at verse 7. 20 I mean 21 and one, I'm sorry, 21 and one. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away.
And there was no more sea. I can't even imagine it. Can you imagine a world where the sun ain't shining no more? Can you imagine where it ain't going to be no more water? It ain't going to be no more moon and no stars and none of that. That's why we don't we don't base our feast days as according to the constellations cuz one day they ain't going to be there no more.
So now he said, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth was passed away and there was no more sea. It ain't going to be no more." See, seven is completion with God. He got seven seeds. You can look at them all right here. He got seven seeds. So now keep reading verse two.
And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven. Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. This going to be a beautiful sight. I hope there already be God at this time to see this happen. But he said, "I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, now coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride, adorned for her husband." Every eye going to see it, sisters and brothers, sir. Every eye going to see when this happened.
So now verse three, go ahead. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Go ahead. Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men. He said, "The tabernacle of God is with men." Go ahead. And he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people.
And and God himself shall be with them and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying. Neither shall there be any more pain. Nor for the former things are all passed away. All of the former things going to be passed away.
It's going to be all. Can you imagine? Ain't nobody going to die no more. He said, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor cry no more. Neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away." So what else did he say at verse five? And he that sat on the throne, sat upon the throne, said, "Behold, I make things new." And he said unto me, "Write, for these, for these words are true and faithful." Go ahead.
And and he said unto me, "It is done." It is done. I am Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. And I will give unto him that is a thirst of the fountain of water freely. Let's let's let's bring brother Josh in verse seven. He cometh he he that cometh read it again.
He that come overcometh shall inherit all things. And and the I will be his God. And he shall be my son. You know what? Pick it up at verse 23 real quick. I just want I want to point out something.
Read that verse 23. And and the city had no need of the sun. Neither the moon. To shine in. Say, "All this going to be gone, sisters and brothers. It ain't even going to be there no more." Go ahead and read.
For the glory of God did lighten it. The lamb is the light thereof. The lamb going to be the light of the city. We ain't going to need that no more, sisters and brothers. So now, so now read that verse 24. You doing real good.
Read verse 24. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it. And the kings of the earth do bring glory and honor into it. This I just want to point out that that what I just said. Read that verse 29. 25.
And the gates of it shall be shut. The gates of it shall not be shut. Shall not be shut all the day. All by by day. And there shall be no need no light there. There no night there, sisters and brother.
I just wanted to point that out. And that's he that increase of knowledge increase of sorrow. And we hope you got some understanding in Jesus name. Let's give a round of applause. So we going we going to call our beautiful beloved elder to come up here and read the law. Exodus 20 verses 1-1 17.
And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shall not bow down thyelves to them, nor serve them. For I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generations of them that hate me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, but the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh this name in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, and keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it thou shalt not do any work. Thou nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man's servant, nor thy maid servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is, and rested the seventh day. Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day in hall.
Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. Thou shall not kill. Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shall not coveret thy neighbor's house.
Thou shalt not coveret thy neighbor's wife, nor his man's servant, nor his maid servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor in Jesus.
