The Spirit of Anger vs. The Spirit of Humility

We got a list of God. Yes, sir. Okay. Okay, y'all. We going to go ahead and we going to get started.

We going to ask that the women cover your heads. Men, uncover your heads. We going to stand and face the holy, beautiful Jerusalem, the city of the great king. Our father. Our Father, which art in heaven, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, thy will be done in earth.

in earth as it is in heaven as it is in heaven. Give us this day. Give us this day our daily bread. Our daily bread. And forgive us our debts.

As we forgive our debt towards as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the power and the glory and the glory forever forever.

We going to proceed with our Sabbath script. We want everybody to turn to Leviticus the 23rd chapter. Leviticus 23. And like I say all the time and I say every week, I got a few brothers that I'm working on, a few sisters that I talk to about the Lord's Sabbath day. And for those that's watching us online, those that are new and do not understand when the Lord's true Sabbath day is, the Lord's true Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week, sisters and brothers, which is the day that man calls Saturday.

That's the Lord's true Sabbath day. We understand what the world is doing, but you got to understand what God is doing. And we ought to obey God rather than man. So let's go to let's go to Leviticus the 23rd chapter. Leviticus 23.

And we going to pick it up at verse one. When you get there, my beautiful beloved elder, go ahead and read. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, go ahead. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them concerning the feast of the Lord, which he shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feast. So notice what he said now.

So notice who Moses got his instructions from. Now, because we talk a lot about the Mosaic law, and you are right to call it that, because he gave the law to Moses, but you got to understand who Moses got his instructions from. And he got his instructions from none other than the Lord, sisters and brothers. Yes, sir. So, he says, "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them concerning the feast of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations." Now, so a holy convocation is a holy gathering.

what we have today. It don't matter how many people are there because Jesus said where two or three are gathered in my name there am I in the midst of them. So now what else did he say at verse three? Go ahead. Six days shall work be done.

Go ahead. But the seventh day it's the Sabbath of rest. Go ahead. And holy convocation. So even in the feast J in the feast day chapters now.

So, we know that we have the weekly Sabbath and we know that God has seven annual Sabbaths. But guess what day that he put off in the Lord's feast days and he called them a holy convocation. It's the weekly Sabbath day, sisters and brothers. So, he said, "Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation." Go ahead and read. You shall do no work therein.

He said, "Ye shall do no work therein." Go ahead. It's the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwelling. It is the Sabbath of the Lord and all of your dwelling, sisters and brothers. The Lord knew he was going to scatter Israel. He knew Israel was going to mess up, but he told Israel that he was going to be a little sanctuary where you have been scattered.

So now, let's show you what the master did. Let's go to St. Luke the 4th chapter. Let's go to St. Luke 4.

St. Luke 4. We going to pick it up at verse 14 because we going to show you what the Lord did. What's going on, brother D? How you doing, beloved?

So to be Christlike is to follow the things that Jesus did. So we want to show you the custom that Jesus did. Let's go to St. Luke the 4th chapter. St.

Luke 4. Let's pick it up at verse 14. Go ahead. And Jesus returned in the power of the spirit in the Galilees and there went out of fame of him through all the regions round about. Go ahead.

And he taught in the synagogues being glorified of all. Go ahead. And he came to Nazareth where he had been brought up. And we all know what Nazareth was now. So we know that at this time we know that it was different nations that was put in the land of Samaria.

But we know that Nazareth was one of the city of the Jews. out. So we said he came to Nazareth where he had been brought up. But now notice what Jesus did. Go ahead.

And as his custom was, as his custom was, his custom is his way of life. What he did? Go ahead and read. He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day. He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, sisters and brothers.

Not on the first day of the week. He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day. Go ahead and read. And stood up to read. And that's where he stood up for to read.

So if you going to be just like Jesus, you got to keep the same sisters and brothers. So I want to praise the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We also want to we want to [applause] welcome you and we hope that you all continue to come and also my beloved brother Derek who we just made [applause] a glad to have you here brother and we hope and pray that you got some that you get some understanding in the lesson that we are going to talk about today because we going I pulled this lesson up out of the archives now and I pulled this lesson out this was a lesson that I did about maybe about four years ago and we and we gonna talk a little bit about anger sisters and brothers and we gonna talk a a little bit about what humility truly is. Because I chose this lesson because no matter what, no matter how many times that you teach about anger, you can't teach enough. One main things that get man not only with God, but will get you with man, get you in trouble with your family, that if you don't get it under control, that your anger, your anger can get the best of you.

And if you don't have no control of your anger, then this anger can mess you up. But one thing we want to let you understand about anger, anger is a spirit, sisters and brothers. Anger is a spirit. But we going to show you that you got to know how to control it. Because if you look around at the world today, you see everything that's going on.

We see all these mass shoots. We see women, a lot of women that's being shot and killed that's in critical condition. We also saw saw where a 14y old boy killed his killed his grandparents and then went and killed people in the school of five people. But what causes all of that sisters and brothers? It's anger.

What do you think that messes you up with with being husband and wife? When two people can't get along, your anger can get the best of you. But then the Lord requires you to have another spirit and that's a spirit of humility. Being humble, sisters and brothers. But see, one thing you got to understand that once you get the spirit of humility, that's when you really know that the Lord can use you, sisters and brothers.

Because if you don't have a humble spirit, then how can God use you with everything? Can't nobody tell you nothing, you angry all the time, you going off on people, you're cussing everybody out, and you got to understand when anger gets into your spirit, you the one that got to let it in. Like I used in an in an example a long time ago. Let's say you go to a bar. You go to a bar and all of a sudden the waitress, she got a drink.

Now she spills the drink on you. The drink is on on the outside your clothes. You wasted on me. All of a sudden you something that you can take to the cleanest to go get clean. So if you don't get control of your anger, sisters and brothers, your anger is going to get control of you.

And most families are broken up because you do not know how to control your anger. And and nobody, if I can do it, anybody can do it. And I'm not going to tell you that it's not a daily reprieve that you have to keep yourself in subjection when it comes to your anger. Because if anybody can change, like I say, I was a I was a firecracker running wild when I was young. stayed in fights, stayed in it with people, stayed into it with people that I love.

I didn't know how to control what was inside of me. So, in order for God to use you, you got to have control of your spirit. And this is why we say it's a spirit, sisters and brothers, because see, even the Lord get angry. Why do you think all of these atrocities are going on in the world right now? It's because God is looking down on the spirit of man and he's seeing what's dwelling in him and it makes him angry.

It makes the Lord angry when you see another man put his hand on another man's that makes the Lord about that. But one thing that you got to do which we gonna read in this lesson you gonna get angry but when you get angry you cannot you get angry your anger control you can kill somebody and we going to read some of that in this lesson today. So the title of the lesson is the of anger versus the spirit of humility. Psalms 90 And we going to pick it up at verse one. So it's a spirit that you got from the Lord now because even God get angry.

So being that you are created in his image, you are going to get angry as well. But what do you have to do? You got to control it. Sisters and brothers, you got to learn to control your anger because if you don't, it's going to get the best of you and you going to find yourself shut out of the kingdom because God could not use you. Why?

Because of your behavior. Sisters and brothers. See one thing below us that he that orderth his conversation right it's going to be him that's going to see the salvation of the Lord sisters and brothers. So now let's go to Psalms 90. Psalms the 90th chapter and we going to pick it up at verse one.

Psalms 90 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Let's show you who you get this spirit from now. But if you going to be just like God, you got to be able to control your anger the same way that God did. So now Psalms 90 and [clears throat] let's pick it up at verse one. Psalms 901.

When you get there, my beautiful beloved elder, go ahead and read. Lord, thou has been our dwelling place in all generations. So notice how David started this out now. He said, he said, Lord, thou has been our dwelling place in all all generations. Now, so you got to dwell.

You can't leave them. You get a lot of people that want to try to leave God. But once you leave, where you going to go? Well, he is the only one that has the words of eternal life. So no matter what generation you have been in, the Lord has got to be your dwelling place in all generations.

So now pick it up at verse two. Go ahead. Before the mountains were brought forth, he said, even before the mountains was brought forth, go ahead. Forever thou hast formed the earth and the world. Go ahead.

From everlasting to everlasting. Go ahead. Thou art God. He said, "Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God." He said, "Even before the mountains was brought forth." See, we understand who created the world, sisters and brothers, we understand when they come up with the Pythagorean theorem and all of these things, talking about evolution, we know that that's not from God. So, we know those that's walking in faith, he said, "For the mountains brought forth forever thou has formed the earth and the world." He said, "Even from everlasting to ever everlasting, thou art God.

See, that's how old he is as well. God is everlasting, sisters and brothers. And this the only God that you will never sees earth. So now verse three, go ahead. Thou turn this man to destruction.

So notice what God do. Now pay attention to what we reading. He said, "Thou turn this man to destruction." See, a lot of times God got to get your attention. The more wrong that you do, you can't control it. He is the one that's going to turn you to it.

But see, once God turned you to destruction, what does he say after that? Go ahead. He return. So I'm going chastise you. I'm going to beat you down a little bit because of the sins that you have committed.

So once he turns man to destruction, he turn unto me. God don't hold his anger forever, sisters and brothers. He don't hold it forever. So now verse four, go ahead. For a thousand years in thy sight, but as yesterday when it is passed, go ahead.

And as a watch in the night, it's going to be also as a watch in the night. That's what you got to understand about about God, sisters and brothers. He said for a thousand years in thy sight are as but yesterday. But you days and we feel like that's eternity for us. But that's what you got to understand about God.

He is everlasting. So a thousand years in his sight are as but yesterday when it has passed and also as a night. So now he going to get back to chastising verse five. There is no blood that is sleep. In the morning they are like grass which growth up.

In the morning it flourisheth and growth up. Go ahead. In the evening it is cut down. And he talking about how long you have on this earth. Sisters and brothers.

We don't have a long time to get it right. And God gonna tell you that. So the older that you get, the more and more that you got to throw your lot in with the Lord, sisters and brothers. Because see, we all getting older now. And one thing that Paul told us in his word that when a man become a man, what does he do?

He put away childish things. So what are we all in this for now? We are in this thing for salvation. So don't take your time that you have on this earth lightly because you may not wake up the next morning and that's what God want you to understand. He said he said he said in the morning it flows and groweth up.

He said that in the evening it is cut down qui. So now verse seven go ahead. For we are consumed by thine anger. He said for we are consumed by thine anger. Go ahead.

And by thy wrath are we trouble. So you don't want to make it mad at you. You don't want to keep being out here saying it because if you keep saying it, you going to get yourself in trouble with the Lord, sisters and brothers. So he said, "For we are consumed by thine anger and by thy wrath are we troubled." So now verse eight, go ahead. Thou hast stacked our iniquities before they go ahead.

Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. He said, "Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance." You think you see it in the dark. Can't nobody see what you're doing. You think you getting away with it, but you ain't getting away with nothing with God. One thing that God he what God sees is sin, sisters and brothers.

And once you stand before God in the judgment, he said, "Thou has set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance." So now verse nine, go ahead. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath. Our days are passed away in thy wrath. Go ahead. We spend our years as a tale that is told.

Go ahead. The days of our years are three score years and 10. He said the days of our years are three score years and 10. That's 70 years, sisters and brothers. See, man was created to to live forever.

He cut us all the way down from when we s the garden of Eden. From when we were supposed to live for a thousand years, he cut us all the way down to 70. Why? Because of sin. He did it because of sin, sisters and brothers.

So now he said the days of our years are three score years and 10. Go ahead and read. And if our original strength days before score years go ahead is that is that strength labor and sorrow. That's what you going to get in this world sisters and brothers you going to get a whole lot of labor but you also gonna get a whole lot of sorrow. That's what you gonna get this world.

That's what when when when Jacob have himself under Pharaoh, we asked Jacob, how old are they? And few evil have these days. So you gonna have a whole lot of days that's going to be labor and sorrow in this world. That's why once you make it and get off into the Lord's kingdom, it's going to be so beautiful for you because of the things that you have had to endure on this earth. So now keep reading.

Go ahead. For it is soon cut off and we fly away. Go ahead. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? He said, who knoweth the power of thine anger?

Go ahead. Even according to thy fear. Go ahead. So is thy wrath. He said, even with thy fear, he said, so is thy wrath, sisters and brothers.

See, the same way that you fear him is the same type of wrath that the Lord really have. So you don't want to make it, you don't want to make it a business, make it your business to keep playing with the Lord. You got to make sure that you do this thing right. That's right. So now verse 12.

Go ahead. Okay, that's it. Yes, sir. Okay, let's go to Romans two now. Let's go to Romans two.

Romans 2. And we going to pick it up at verse one. Let's show you what Paul talked about it. Because you got a lot of people that's disobedient in the world. And one way that they are disobedient toward God, sisters and brothers, is through their anger.

Just think about all of the times that you flew off the hang off the handle. I know I can remember mine just like it was yesterday. So you want to make sure that you get it under control, sisters and brothers. So go ahead and read. Therefore thou art inexcusable, oh man, whosoever thou art that judges.

Go ahead. For wherein thou judgest another, thou con condemnest thyself. But now the judges do the same thing. Want to make sure you ain't judging, sisters and brothers. Notice what Paul started this off with.

He said, "Therefore, thou art inexcusable, oh man, whosoever thou art that judges." You have no right to throw nobody in the lake of fire. We don't have no right to judge nobody, no matter what sin that they are committing. So, just like we said last week, you can't hate the person. You can hate the sin, but you can't hate the person because you got to let the Lord do that. know you don't have a right to judge nobody and tell them okay you going to the lake of fire you going to the lake of fire you don't have that right because you don't know if you are in good standing with God so he is basically calling you a hypocrite right here so in the middle of that verse verse one he said for wherein thou that judges another thou condemnest thyself for thou that judges doeth the same things you tell people to get right but you not right you tell people to live right by God but you ain't living right by God.

So, how is that going to work for you? That's being a hypocrite. So, now verse two, go ahead. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such. Go ahead.

And think about this. That judges them which do such things and do the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God. Go ahead. Or despise thou the riches of his goodness. and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadth me to repentance.

That's the whole key, sisters and brothers. It all despise thou the riches of his goodness and forbearing and suffering knowing that the goodness of God leadth thee to repentance. When you tell the Lord that you sorry, Lord, I'm going to repent to you. I'm sorry for when I had the wrong thoughts in my mind. I'm sorry for the language that I use.

I talk to a certain brother or sister. That's gonna lead you to repent toward him, sisters and brothers. That's the goodness of God. So don't forget about the riches and the goodness and the longsuffering that God has toward us. Think about it.

When you didn't have it right, you didn't have it right at all. But what was God? He was longsuffering with you. He kept you alive so you can serve him today. But now notice what he said at verse five.

Go ahead. But after thy hardness and impenitent heart, notice what he said. He said, "But after thy hardness and impenitent heart," you know, you know, impenitent means that you just keep on being disobedient. That's what an impendent heart means. That means no shame for when you against God.

There's no you don't care about what you do to them. You cuss somebody or you treat somebody bad and it don't mean nothing to you at all. That's what an impendent heart means. So now keep going. Up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath.

Go ahead. Revelation of the righteous judgment of God. Go ahead. End of a line. You gonna get what you earn.

But whatever behavior you did in this life, if you sow to your flesh righteousness, you going to reap righteousness. But if you sow to your flesh corruption, then you going to reap the lake of fire, sisters and brothers. One thing that God going to do, judge every man according as his work shall be. So now go ahead and read seven. to them who by patent countenance in welloing seek for glory and honor and immortality eternal life.

So what are you coming to church for? Why do we come to church and have the Sabbath if you not trying to live forever? This is the main goal. This is the main reason why we're here. He said to them who by patient continuence in welloing, you got to continue to do well.

You got to continue continue to do well not only to God but also to your fellow man. And you got to continue to do it because there's also a verse that will tell you what that man he get weary once he start doing well for so long. So you can't use your you can't use your confidence in that in a world that's trying to turn you away from God. So once you continue in welloing, you gonna get the glory. You're gonna get the honor.

you gonna be immortality and you gonna live forever. If that's not the case, then why are you coming to church for? So now verse eight, go ahead and read. But unto them there are contentious. But notice what what he said here.

He said, "But unto them that are contentious now, those that are overly angry, contentious." You always got somebody you a contentious person. Now he said, "But unto them that are contentious," go ahead and read. do not obey the truth and they do not obey the truth of the gospel. Go ahead. What are you gonna get?

Go ahead. That's what you going to get from the Lord if you don't change. Sisters and brothers. See, one thing about the firstborn, we are here to tell you the truth. We are here to tell you that you got to change your spirit.

And if you do not change the way that you act in the end, get indignation and w see once you stand before the Lord in judgment, it ain't going to be no turning back. You ain't going to be able to change the way that you lived in this life because God gonna show you everything that you did and you gonna be inexcusable once he show it to you sisters and brothers. That's why while you are alive, you want to get it right now. So verse n go ahead. Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that doeth evil.

He said tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that doeth evil. Go ahead. Of the Jew first. So what? We know that we are the children of God, but you are the children of God to teach the rest of the sons of Adam.

So as it goes for the Jew, so as it goes for the rest of the world. So he said, "Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that doeth evil to the Jew first." Go ahead and read. And also of the Gentiles. God is no respector of persons. That's right.

Like we say in every lesson, God is an equal opportunity destroyer, sisters and brothers. He don't care about what color you are. The only thing that God sees is that are being obedient unto his word. So now let's go a little bit further. Now let's go to Hebrews 10.

We going to start out dealing. We going to deal a little bit with the anger at first, sisters and brothers. So let's go to Hebrews 10. Let's show you why you want to live right. See, God can get you in this life.

God can kill you right now, but he don't want to do that. [clears throat] God want even the evil person to be saved sisters and brothers God to save everybody but unfortunately that is not going to be the case now let's go to Hebrews the 10th chapter and let's pick it up let us what he said here said let us profession of our faith without wavering. Sisters and brothers, we supposed to be ambassadors for Christ. We are supposed to be professionals for the Lord. So he want you to hold this faith without wavering.

See, you get a lot of people, they waver once they start living, right? They start wavering and they start falling off. Can't do that with God. No. So now go ahead and read.

For he is faithful that promise. Go ahead. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. This is what this is what real Christians do. This is what we do, sisters and brothers.

Yes, sir. He said, "Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works." This is what you use your mouth for. This what you use your tongue for. This what you use the spirit that's in you for is the people and and to provoke unto love and to good works. So now keep reading.

Go ahead. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is, but in one another. Go ahead. So much the more as ye see the day approaching and not forsaking the assembly. See, that's a big one.

See, a lot of people forsake the Sabbath. We don't have that today. We had a lot of people today that's supposed to be here that they had some legitimate emergencies and we hope and pray that they be back next week. But you do have a lot of people that for safety assembly. Well, we'll just keep the Sabbath at home.

You got somewhere to go keep the Sabbath, but you will stay at home. But see, God don't want you to do that. God want you to have a holy convocation on this day. He wants you to come around likeminded people that's trying to get salvation the same way that you are. Because you get enough out in the world, ain't nobody seeking.

The only thing you going to get out in the world is lies. So the only thing that's telling the truth is the word of God. So you might as well be around other people that's trying to walk in truth. Sisters and brothers, it's enough people out here lying when it come to the Bible. We don't want to be We don't want to be those people.

We want to make sure that we living right. that when you walk out of these doors, that that man that with that beard that was standing up here yelling, hopefully it'll make a difference in your life when you go out for the rest of the week and that you come back next week that you can get your spirit refilled all over again to take on the challenges that the world gives you every day. Yes, sir. So don't forsake the assembly. So now keep reading.

Go ahead. 26 for If we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth. Go ahead. There remainth no more sacrifice for sin. You better take a look at what the Bible is saying.

Willful sin and you sin on purpose. You can't repent of that. See, God will will accept your sin if you did it in ignorance. If you out here sinning on purpose and you know to do better after you have received the knowledge of the truth, the Bible says there remain a no more sacrifice for sin. Sisters and brothers, that means this sin is going to be a blotch on your record.

Now you got to make sure that your good outweigh your bad. Yes, sir. So now keep reading. Go ahead. Because when you willfully sin, the Bible is going to tell you what you got to look forward to.

Verse 27. Go ahead. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation. Go ahead. Devour the adversary.

It's going to devour with the he said, "But a certain fearful for looking for judgment and fiery indignation which shall devour the adversary." Sisters and brothers, what do you think God is talking about right here? The lake of fire he is talking about. That's the fiery indignation. See, the first time God destroyed the world with water. This time he going to destroy it with fire.

That's the fiery indignation. So now keep reading. Go ahead. 28. He that despises Moses law died without mercy under two or three witness.

That's what they did in Moses. If a man committed adultery with another man's wife or if you found a wizard or if you found a person that was worshiping in the camp, they tied him up and they stoned him to death. Sisters and brothers, they rocked him to sleep. But see, that was pretty bad. Can you imagine the whole conversation throwing rocks at you in your head and you die?

That's how they killed him back in the days of Moses. Now, but see, if you sin against God now, you've got something worse to look forward to. This why you want to be right. So now, keep reading. Go ahead.

Of how much so punishment suppose ye shall he be thought worthy who have trotten underfoot the son of God, and who have counted the blood of the covenant? Where were He was sanctified in unholy things. Go ahead. You was walking right. You was doing everything right.

But now you you done fell away from God. So the same way that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the people. You put it right back on the cross and and count that blood unholy. Sanctified you. That blood saved you even unto this day.

So we don't have to go kill the animals no more. Jesus got he died on the cross one time for the sins of the people and that is supposed to absolve you all the way up until his return sisters and brothers. So now keep reading. What we going to talk somebody do something to you and you go out and you take vengeance on that person. Well Jesus said vengeance belong to him. He going to repair him when he come back. He going to be the one that can't nobody destroy worseer than the Lord can. There is nothing that you do to take on anybody that belong to you more than the Lord come back when they be off in that lake of fire that's going to be off in the other side of the the kingdom of God that you look up millions of me of of years later and you still burning in the lake of fire because you wouldn't get it right and because you want to take some vengeance.

I will recompense, sayeth the Lord. He said, recompense, sayeth the Lord. Go ahead. And again, the Lord shall judge his people. It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

And we already talked about that off in Psalms the 90th chapter. He said, God turneth man to destruction. Now, he said we are consumed by thy blow and by thy wrath. So, it's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God. See, he ain't dead no more.

He ain't dead on the cross. He rose with all power and he is [clears throat] sitting right on the right hand of the father making intercessions for the people. So, now let's go to Isaiah the 57th chapter. Now, Isaiah 57. Let's go deal with a little bit of humility.

Let's go deal with it one. And the Lord had to teach me that he had to instill he had to beat humility in me because I wasn't a humble person. I would tail anybody out. I will cuss anybody out. And I will do anything that anybody didn't have no re didn't even think about.

No cushions from God at all. We don't even think about that. But let's show you and we going to also kind of deal with the godhead right here. See, you got the father and the son. In the beginning, it was just God.

But then one said, "I'm going to rise and I'm going to die for the sins of the people." So that means he had to stop being perfect to come down in a fleshly body to die for the sins of the people. Let's show you who is dwelling up in the third heaven. Let's go the 57th chapter and we going to pick it up at verse 15. Let's show you how. Let's show you how the father and the son operate.

That's how you know anger is aility brothers. So 57 and let's pick verse one. Isaiah 57 and1. Go ahead and read. 15, I'm sorry, verse 15.

But we just read, he said, from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Now, he said, for thus said the high and lofty one that inhabitth eternity, sisters and brothers, and what is his name? Go ahead and read. Whose name is holy? So, who is the holy one of Israel?

That was none other than Jesus. Sisters and brothers. He said, "For thus sayith the high and lofty one that inhabited eternity, whose name is holy." Go ahead and read. I dwell in the high and lofty place. That high and lofty place is none other than the third heaven.

Go ahead and read. With him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit. But I dwell with him also that is of a contrite and of a humble spirit. See, that's the kind of spirit that you need to have. You got to learn to be humble.

How can you teach anybody about God and you don't have a humble spirit on you? How can you even say that you are a child of the most high and you don't have a contrite and a humble spirit just like your master has? So you got to think about what we reading about now. He said I dwell in the high and holy place with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit. So now what is his mission?

And to revive the hearts of the contrite ones. And to revive the heart of the contrite ones. He talking about us, sisters and brothers. So now read that verse 16. Go ahead.

For I will not contend forever. He ain't gonna be mad at you forever once you tell the Lord, "Lord, I'm sorry for what I did to you because you because against him and him only have you done this sin." So he said, "For I will not contend forever. Go ahead and leave. Neither will I be always wroth. Neither will I be always wroth." That means angry.

That means God got control over his anger. So if you going to be a child of the most high, you got to get control over your anger as well. He said, he said, he said, "Neither will I be always wrought." Go ahead. The souls which I have made. You hear what he said?

Well, that was powerful what the Lord said. He said, "If I was angry forever, there wouldn't be a soul left alive on this earth. It wouldn't be nobody here." Because see, all of us have fallen short of the glory of the Lord. All of us have fallen short of it. So, he said, "For I will not contend forever.

Neither will I be always wroth. He said, for the spirit shall fail before meek, and the souls made. So now verse 17, he going to show you why he was angry with man. Verse 17, go ahead. For the iniquity of his covetousness, go ahead, was I wrong.

You see what he said? He said, for the iniquity of his covetousness was I wrath. You got a lot of covetous men in the world. And if you read in the very last of the ten commandments, he tells man what? Don't covet.

Don't covet your neighbor's wife. Don't covet your neighbor's house or whatever that your neighbors has. But you got a lot of people that are covetous in the world. And this is the reason why God is mad. So he said, "For the iniquity of his covetedness was I wrought." Go.

And what did he do to him? Go ahead and read. And smoke him. He smoked him. Sisters and brothers.

This is God that did that. Yes, sir. Go ahead and read. I hid me and was wrought. Go ahead.

And he went on thoroughly in the way of his heart. See, you don't see the Lord. So therefore, you don't see God now. So you just keep going on in the forwardness of your own heart. He's given you over to your own devices now.

Yes, sir. And you don't want to be like that with the Lord because he'll let you do it now. But now, what else did God say? Verse 18, go ahead and read. I have seen in his ways.

I have seen his ways. Go ahead. It will heal you. That means that you came back and repented to him. You repented for your sin.

Yes. So now that's the spirit that you want to have. But now let's go to St. John the first chapter. Let's go to St.

John 1. Because we we just read he said, "I am the high and lofty one that who inhabited eternity, right? and I dwell with him also. Let's show you the godhead. I started to do that lesson today, but we gonna put it off for another time.

I thought this was more important. With all this anger that I've been seeing that's going around in the world, it's time to do something that's a little bit more uplifting. So, we going we going to get to that. We going to get to that a little bit later. But, let's go to St.

John 1. St. John 1 and we going to pick it up at verse one. St. John 1 and we gonna pick it up at verse one.

When you get there, go ahead and read. In the beginning was the word. Go ahead. And the word was with God. Go ahead.

And the word was God. Notice what he's saying now. He said, "In the beginning was the word." Now, and we know that the word was made flesh. We didn't Well, we got it in. He said, "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and also the word was God." So now verse two, go ahead.

The same was in the beginning with God. Go ahead. All things were made by him. All things was made by him. Sisters and brothers.

That's the reason why we don't go with no big bang theory and all this stuff that man is talking about. We know who created the world because in in order to believe that you got to have faith in the Lord. Now he said the same was in the beginning with God. He said all things was made by him. Go ahead and read.

And without him was not anything made that was made that was made. But now let's skip down to verse 14. Because in the beginning was the word and this word was with God. So we want to show you that Jesus came and walked the earth but he was God in the beginning. Verse 14.

Go ahead. And the word was made flesh. Go ahead. And dwelt among us. And the word was made flesh.

Now when he dwelt among us, but what did we read? We read that the word was God. Sisters and brothers. Yes, sir. Go ahead and read.

And we beheld his glory. The glory as of the only begotten of the father. Go ahead. full of grace and truth. And we know that that we know this is John now.

So this was that disciple that Jesus loved. They said, "We beheld his glory." And they did. They saw when Jesus was baptized. They saw when Jesus raised the dead. They saw when Jesus healed the sick.

They also seen when Jesus had transfigured himself when he was on the mount and showed them the future kingdom. Sisters and brothers, he showed it to them. So now let's go to Philippians 2. Philippians 2. Philippians 2 and we going to pick it up at verse 5.

We're going to let you know we talking about anger and we talking about humility. Sisters and brothers, either you going to be an angry or a contentious person or you going to walk around like your master and you going to have a contrite or a humble spirit. The choice is yours. But you got to make the choice. Yes, sir.

So now let's pick it up. Let you know what? Pick it up at verse four. Let's go to Philippians 2 and pick it up at verse four. Go ahead and read.

Look not every man on his own things. Go ahead. But every man also on the things of others. Don't always look at what's going on with you. That's what God is telling you right here.

We going to always have problems. But what but one thing that God is creating you to be, he's creating you to be a soldier. So you going to have some ups and you going to have some downs in the word of God now. But now you got to look on the things of others. See, once you are converted, you got to strengthen everybody else around you.

He said, "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." Verse five, go ahead. Let this mind be in you. Go ahead. Which was also in Christ Jesus. So now it said, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." Now, so you got to have the mind of Christ.

Go ahead and read. Who being in the form of God, thought it not rob to be equal with God. He said he he didn't thought he didn't think that it was robbery to be equal with the Lord. He knew in the beginning before they created man that they was on the same plane. Yes.

You had one that called his name Jesus which was the father. And then you had Jehovah uh and he became the son. But he became the son to die for the sins of the people. But he gave up all of that glory. And we going to show you why he gave up the glory.

So now he said who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God. But what did he do at verse seven? Go ahead and read. But made himself of no reputation. Made himself of no reputation.

Anytime he did a miracle, what did he say? Don't tell nobody that I did it. Don't tell nobody that I did this. But still everybody went on and published it because he was God on the earth. He said, but made himself of no reputation.

Go ahead and read. and took upon him the form of a servant. Go ahead. And was made in the likeness of men. But he took on the form of a servant.

You mean the one that created everything. The same ground that you walking on that gives you the breath of life. The one that created the sun and the moon and the stars in the heaven. He made himself to be a servant. Sisters and brothers.

And being found in fashion as a man. Go ahead. He humbled himself when he and being found in fashion as a man because he had to get a body that could die. That's being in fashion as a man. Now they said he humbled himself.

That's what he did. He allowed people to spit on him. He allowed people to hit him in the head with a stick. He allowed him to prince his hands and his feet. He allowed them to do that.

Even the death of the cross. Sisters and brothers. Verse nine. Go ahead. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name.

Go ahead. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow. Don't nobody like the name, sisters and brothers. We just might as well got to go ahead on and put that out there. Don't nobody hate that name.

But that's the very same name that when you call and you tell demons to flee out, they got to get out once they hear that name, sisters and brothers. But when you allow these people off of these schools of miseries that write these books that tell you that, well, there wasn't no J, it wasn't no this, it wasn't no that. The vow and the constant that's been around since man been on the earth. We got proof of that. So now he said he said wherefore God had also highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name.

That read start at the beginning of verse 10. Go ahead. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth. Go ahead. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Well see the world don't think about that. Every time the world get themselves in a jam, you watch a movie, what's the first thing they say? Jesus Christ. They use it like it's a cuss word. They use it like it's something bad.

If you go look off into the school of mysteries and you look off into these lodges where the Freemasons is, you can't even say the name Jesus inside of these lodges. That's how much they hate the name. But now, hold your spot right here. Let's go to First Corinthians 15 real fast. Let's show you how Jesus going to turn the kingdom over to the father.

That's what we do, sisters and brothers. We make it line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little.

even the father when he shall put down all rule and all authority and power. That's what he going to do, sisters and brothers. That's what he going to do when he come back to the earth. See, it ain't going to be nobody walking around committing adultery with another man's wife. It ain't going to be no more liars and stealers because they going to be written in the earth.

It ain't going to be no more child molesters on the earth because when he come back, he going to put down all rule and all authority and all power. So now verse 25, go ahead and read. But he must reign. Go ahead. Till he have put all enemies under his feet.

He must reign till he put all enemies under his feet. Sisters and brothers, all of his enemies are going to be put to shame. That's what Jesus going to do. So now, what's going to be the last enemy? Go ahead.

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Ain't going to be no more death, no more crying no more. You ain't going to see a tear that's going to be shed on the earth. Why? Because everybody gonna be happy because you going to have a father and a son here and those that get everlasting life that death is going to be destroyed sisters and brothers.

Verse 27, go ahead. For he have put all things under his feet. But when he said all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is accepted which did put all things under him. Go ahead. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him.

Go ahead. That God may all in all. That's the reason why he said he didn't think it was going to be robbery to be equal with God. Again, he ain't going to care nothing about that. He gave all of that up.

So he said, "When all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things unto him that God may be all and in all." And I can't wait for that world to come, sons and brothers. That's the world that I'm waiting on. You know, it's going to be good that you know your children going to be able to go outside and play and you ain't going to have to worry about nobody kidnapping them and putting them off into sex slavery no more. Those days are coming when you ain't going to see the junkie lying off in the in the alley with with the with the with the heroin going up their arms. Sisters and brothers, God going to make all these people whole again.

So now let's go now. Let's go now to Psalms 37. Psalms 37. Let's go read a little bit about what David said. Let's go to Psalms the 37th chapter.

Now Psalms 37 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Psalms 37 and we going to pick it up at verse one. We doing this because you know all the anger I remember over where we live not too long ago. Seeing a wife, she all up in her husband face just going at her and they all yelling outside at one another. It's time out for that.

When you love somebody and you got a wife or a husband that you love, don't let all that stuff break up because of your anger because you can't work something out. We got to grow up now, sisters and brothers. No matter how old we are, we still children before God. So don't let your anger get the best of you. the way that it used to get the best of me.

Let's go to Psalms 37 and let's pick it up at verse one. Psalms 37 and we gonna pick it up at verse one. Would you get there to go ahead and read? Fret not thyself because of evildoers. Go ahead.

Neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. Notice what he said. He said, "Don't fret thyself because of evildoers. Neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity." Because see the people that's working iniquity, they prospering. They got money.

They got big old churches where they in there telling lies all in the church about it. But yet in still they prospering. And if you are a true man and a true woman of God and you look at the size of your church, you get a little envious about that. So God don't want you to do that. One thing you got to keep in mind, anywhere where the truth is told, it ain't going to be a whole lot of people there anyway because the truth is being told there.

That's why Jesus said, "Where two or three are gathered together written my name, there am I going to be in the midst of it." So now, what is God going to do to the evildoers? Verse two, go ahead. For all, for they soon shall be cut down like grass. Go ahead. And wither at the green earth.

They all going to die. The wicked going to die one day. The righteous going to die, too. We even talked about that earlier. Yes.

He said, "You only here like a shadow, and he only give you 70 to 80 years. And anything longer than that is by reason of strength. So when the wicked prosper, he said they shall be soon cut down like the grass and they going to wither as the green herb. Sisters and brothers. So now verse three, go ahead.

Trust in the Lord. Go ahead. And do good. Remember when we talked about welloing? He said continue in welloing as unto a faithful creator.

So he said you got to trust in the Lord and do good. Go ahead and read. So says thou dwell in the land. Go ahead. and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the Lord. Go ahead. And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. You hear what that say, sisters and brothers. That's why we got to wait on the Lord.

We got to wait on him. We all got requests and things that we love that we want from God. But you got to wait on him, sisters and brothers. That's the whole thing. He said, "Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Whatever your heart desire, as long as it's not contrary to him, he gonna give it to you, sisters and brothers. He gonna give it to you. Go ahead and read. Uh, commit thy way unto the Lord. Trust also in him.

Go ahead. And he shall bring it to pass. He going to bring it to pass. You just got to wait on him. You know, like I like I say, I tore my week up.

I tore my knee up about five weeks ago. Tore my knee all the way up. And what are we doing now? I said, Lord, heal me. That's what we praying right now for Mother Linda.

We know that she's injured. That's why we pray for Mother Teresa. She came here today what? Without her cane. Why?

Because of God. God did that. God is the one that heals. Sisters and brothers. He is the healer.

So he said, he said, "Commit thy way unto the Lord." He said, "Trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass." But you got to commit to him. He committed to you. He woke you up this morning. He did everything that you asked him to do. Even he did it for sinners, sisters and brothers, for people that's not living right.

So they can have a chance to repent and come off into his kingdom. So now keep reading. Go ahead. Six. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light.

Go ahead. And thy judgment as a new day. He going to bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noon day. Everybody going to see you righteous. That's why he said in Revelations 22, he said, "They that are righteous, let them be righteous still." And when you righteous, everybody around you going to understand that you are because they going to see it in your behavior.

He going to bring it forth as the light and thy judgment as the noon day. What judgment? The judgment when you stand before him. He going to bring it in the noon day. The noon day is when the sun is at its zenith.

when it's at its highest point. That's how your righteousness and your eternal life is going to be before the Lord, sisters and brothers. So now verse seven, go ahead. Rest in the Lord. Go ahead.

And wait patiently for him. Threaten not thyself because of him who prosperth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Go ahead. Cease from anger. This what the lesson is about.

He says, "Cease from anger, sisters and brothers. Cease from it. quit flying off the handle so much. He said, "Cease from anger." From anger. Go ahead.

And forsake wrath. He also said, "And forsake wrath." Go ahead. Fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. You heard what the book said. Don't fret yourself in any wise to do evil.

[clears throat] Basically, what God is telling you, don't take vengeance. Don't take vengeance when somebody do you wrong. He says, "Cease from anger and forsake wrath." He said, "Fret not thyself in any wise to do evil." Verse nine, go ahead. For evil doers shall be cut off, but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. Go ahead.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be. Yay, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. They ain't going to be here, sisters and brothers, because we know the Lord going to bring the kingdom on the earth. He said, "For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be." He said, "Yay, thou shalt diligently consider his place and it shall not be." Verse 11, go ahead. But the meek shall inherit the earth.

That's who is going to inherit the earth, sisters and brothers. The meek, the humble. They are going to be the ones that's going to be on the earth. He said, "But the meek shall inherit the earth." Go ahead and read. And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

They shall delight themselves in what? In the abundance of peace. Yes. You mean peace on earth. When the Lord come back, it's going to be peace on earth and good will toward men, sisters and brothers.

But now go ahead and read 22. Okay. Yeah. Skip down to verse 22. Verse 22.

Go ahead. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth. Go ahead. [clears throat] And they that curse of him shall be cut off. He said, "And they that are cursed of the earth, they shall be cut off." Go slide that verse 23 in.

Go ahead. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. That's what the steps of a good man are. He said, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord." Go ahead and read. and he delightth in his way.

And he shall delight in his way. Sisters and brothers, that's what he going to do for the me. Yes, sir. So now, let's go to Genesis the 34th chapter. Genesis 34.

Let's go talk and deal with some people that was dealing in anger. Sisters and brothers, let's go to Genesis the 34th chapter. We going to show you how Simeon and Levi, how they let their anger get the best of them. Let's go to Genesis the 34th chapter, and we going to pick it up at verse one. Genesis 34 and1. We want to we want to bring this in because we going to show you that how when you get out of control with your anger that these people lost they lost they got it. They they let their anger get so much out of control with them that they killed an entire village of people. Let's go show you that. Genesis 34 and we going to pick it up at verse four.

Now he said, he said, "And let me find grace in your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me, I will give." Verse 12, go ahead. Ask me never so much jewelry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me, but give me the damsel to wife. But give me the damsel to wife. But now, let's show you. Let's show you what the sons of Jacob did.

So basically they lying.

They ain't going to do none of that. They already said that they answered them deceitfully now. So basically what they doing is they setting them up. They set them up so they can kill them, sisters and brothers, and you going to see this once we get off into this story. So now verse 17, keep reading.

Go ahead. But if ye will not hearken unto us to be circumcised, then we will take our daughter, and we will be gone. And their words pleas. And the young man preferred not to do not to do the thing because he had delight in Jacob's daughter and he was more honorable than all the house of his father. So this shikim, he really was a good guy, but he going to get caught up in the crossfire now.

So he really was a good guy, but they said he was more honorable than all the house of his fathers. So you got Simeon and Levi, which they asking them deceitfully. But now you getting ready to give the Canaanites, they f to do a couple of things that's going to be a little bit underhand as well. So now verse 20, go ahead. And son, his son came into the gate of this city and commune with the men of this city, saying, "These men are peaceable with us.

Therefore, let them dwell in the land and trade therein. For the land, behold, it is large enough for them. Let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters. Go ahead. Only herein will the men consent unto us for to dwell with us to be one people.

If every male among us be circumcised as they are circumcised. But see, they were circumcising themselves for a reason. Now, so they know that this this this this chic guy, he was a mo son and he was a prince. So all of the men of the city was going to be circumcised now, but they was doing it so they can make some money off of the Israelites. So now verse 23, go ahead.

Shall not their cattle and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? You see what he's saying now? They told him to go in and trail and and dwell in the land and trade therein. now. But if they would have stayed in the land and we would have became one people with the Canaanites, they said, "Shall not their cal and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours?" So you see how everybody lied.

So now keep reading. Go ahead. Only let us desent unto them. Go ahead. And they will dwell with us.

And unto Hamar, and unto Sheam his son, hearken all that went out of the gate of his city. And every male will circumcise. Go ahead. all that went out of the gate of his city. So notice all of the people that were circumcised, all of the people that went down with them to meet the Israelites.

Now, every male of that city that was in the gate of the city, they were the only ones that were circumcised. But see, Simeon and Levi had them circumcised for a reason. So now, let's show you what he was going to do to them. Verse 25, go ahead. And it came to pass on the third day when they were sore.

He said it came to pass on the third day when they were sore. Why? because they got circumcised. If you ain't never been circumcised and you was a man, you going to understand why they were sore. So, they could not move.

That's not the easiest thing to do. As a matter of fact, when Joshua had took and circumcised the children of Israel, they had to sit down before they was whole before they went into the land of Jericho. So now, these men were sore. So, they going to come up on them while they were sore. Go ahead.

That two were sons of Jacob, Simeon, and Levi, Diana's brother. Go ahead. Took each man his sword. Go ahead. And came upon the city boat.

Go ahead. And slew all the men. So that's what they did. But why did they kill them? Because they couldn't move.

Hey man, you got it. Whatever you want, you can have. Right. So now, so when they were sore and could no man fight, they went up with the sword and they killed every man in the city. But now we going to find out why they did it.

So now verse 26. Go ahead. And they slew Hor and Sheam his son with the edge of the sword. They killed them too. When they slew Hammor and Sheikum, his son with the edge of the sword, go ahead and read.

And took Dina out of Sheamu's house. Go ahead. And went out. And the the sons of Jacob came upon the slain and spoiled the city because they have devoured their sister. Go ahead.

And took their sheep and their oxen, and their asses, and that which was in the city. Go ahead. And that which was in the field. So they spoiled the city. They took everything.

They took the women captive. They took the sheep, the oxen, the asses, and everything that was in the city and which they had in the field. They they took everything with them. Now, so verse 29, go ahead. And all their wealth and all their little ones and their wives, they took they captive and spoiled even all that was in the house.

Go ahead. And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, "You have told me to make me distinct among the inhabitants of the land." And and you got to realize why Jacob felt this way now. because they took vengeance. Now, I'm not saying that some of the things what Simeon and Levi wasn't right about because Abraham told them, don't give, don't go out and marry no Canaanites, you know, when Isaac when they had Jacob and when they had Esau, they told them, don't marry none of the daughters of Canaan. But what did Esau do, the so-called Jew?

The first thing he did was went out and go marry the Canaanite woman. So they knew this now, but still they made Jacob to be troubled and to stink among the inhabitants of the land. So now keep reading. Go ahead. The Canaanites and the uh parasites and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me and slay me, and I shall be destroyed I and my house.

Go ahead. And they said, should he deal with our sister as in Holland? As with a Holland. So they was mad, but they slew this guy in his anger now. And because of this, they going to get a different blessing.

So now let's go to Genesis the 49th chapter because it was Simeon and then it was Levi that did the killing. And also I want to kind of slide this in for a little bit for a little flavor. Y'all remember when the sons had came to Jacob and when I mean Joseph and when Joseph was a when he was uh second ruler in Egypt, the one the son that was left behind that was in jail with Simeon. That was for a reason. Now, but let's show you what God is getting ready.

The curse that he going to put on Simeon and Levi for the things that they did. So now let's go to Genesis 49. And this was when Israel was blessing the 12 sons of Jacob. Genesis 49 and pick it up at verse one. Go ahead, Elbert.

And Jacob called unto his sons and said, "Gather yourselves together that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days." I'm going to tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Now, so let's show you. Let's show you what what the blessings that he gave Simeon and Levi. Skip down to verse five. Go ahead.

Simeon and Levi are bre. He says Simeon and Levi are brethren. Now go ahead read. Instruments of cruelty are in their habitation. Sisters and brothers, this is the blessing that he gave them.

Now he said, "Instruments of cruelty are in their habitations." Go ahead and read. Oh my soul, come not thou into their secret. Go ahead. Unto their assembly, mine honor be not thou united. He said, "Be not thou united." Go ahead.

For in their anger they slew a man. He said, "For in their anger they slew a man." Sisters and brothers, go ahead and read. And in their self-will they dig down and walk. And in their self-will they even dig down a wall. Verse seven.

Go ahead. Cursed be their anger. That's what the Lord said. He said, "Cursed be thy anger." Go ahead. For in his spirit spirits and their wrath, for it was cruel.

Go ahead. I will divide them in Jacob. Go ahead. And scatter them in Israel. He said, "I'm going to divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel, sisters and brothers." So now I don't I don't have a marker up here, but something I want to show you real quick.

This is what he did to him. So now let's just say let's just say this right here is the land of Judah. This was Judah's land. So now Simeon had a little bitty land that was located off in the land of Judah. But originally Simeon was one of the largest tribes, but he cut them all the way down and gave them a little spot in Judah.

And also to Levi, he scattered them all over in the cities of the slaves. And he also made the Levites to be the priest of God. They had to they had to serve the Lord. So that was their punishment for what they did once they killed those villages of men, sisters and brothers. So now that's it.

Okay, let's go a little bit further. Let's go to 2 Chronicles 26. Now 2 Chronicles 26. And we gonna go deal with King Uzziah. Let's show you what he did.

Let's show you that his anger got him in trouble with the Lord. Sisters and brothers, let's go to 2 Chronicles 26 and we going to pick it up at verse one. 2 Chronicles 26 and we going to pick it up at verse one. That's what he did to him. He divided them.

Simeon was one of the biggest tribes. But when you look at them once they went into the land, they was only a few thousand people after being one of the biggest tribes at first. So the Lord cut them down because of their anger. sisters and brothers, that blessing that Jacob had gave them right before he died. So now, 2 Chronicles 26.

2 Chronicles 26 and we going to pick it up at verse one. We going to read about King Uzziah. Now, King Uzziah was a righteous king. Now, he was righteous, but this was the one time that his anger got the best of it. And his anger going to cost him something.

Let's show you that. 2 Chronicles 26 and pick it up at verse one. Go ahead, Elvin. Then all the people of Judah took you Uzziah who was 16 years old and made him king in the room of his father oniah. He built El and restored it to Judah.

After that, the king slept with his father. Go ahead. 16 year years old was Uziah when he began to reign. And he reigned 50 in two years in Jerusalem. Go ahead.

His mother's name was Jaliah of Jerusalem. His mother name was also Jaliah of Jerusalem. Now, so he reigned for 52 years. 52 years. You had a king that actually did it right, sisters and brothers.

Yes. So now verse four, go ahead and read. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord. Go ahead. According to all that his father, Amaziah did.

See, that let you know that once you raise a righteous seed, they got a chance to return, sisters and brothers. Yes, sir. So you can go and look at King Manasseh. Look how evil King Manasseh was. But then he was raised.

Hezekiah was his father. So he remembered the way that Hez that Hezekiah did and he repented of all his evil. So now you got Uzziah that did that which was right in the sight of the Lord according to all that his fatherhiah did. So now verse five, go ahead. And he sought God in the days of Zachariah who had understanding in the visions of God.

Go ahead. And as long as he sought the Lord, go ahead. God made him to prosper. So now we know that God is no respector of persons, sisters and brothers. So notice what he said about King Uzziah.

He said, "As long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper." See, it's time to prosper in these last days. It's time to get your just do of what God wants to give you because he want to give you everything. He don't want to cut you off. But now he said, "As long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper." So now let's skip down to verse 11. Verse 11 and go ahead and read.

Moreover, Uzziah hadn't hosted fighting men that went out to war by hands according to the number of their account by the hand of Jiel, the scribe of Mayiah, the ruler under the hand of Haniah, one of the king's captains. Go ahead. Good read. Go ahead. The whole number of the chief of the fathers of the mighty men of valor with 2,600.

And under their hand was an army 300,000 and 7,000 500 that made war with mighty power to help the king against the enemy. Go ahead. And Uzziah prepared for them throughout all the host shields, spears, and helmets and harbor and harbor harbor harbors and bows and slings to cast on. Go ahead. And he made in Jerusalem engines and vended by cunning men and to and to on the towers and upon the bullwarts to shoot arrows and break stones with all.

And his name spread far abroad. for he was marvelously helped till he was strong. Well, all these weapons that this guy, this guy kind of sound like America and Russia right now with all of the weapons that they had. So, these guys was equipped for battle. So, he was winning all of these battles with all of the the engines and the invented things that he made to fight against other people.

So, but once he did this now, he going to get a little bit lifted up. So, even when you righteous now, you got to watch your spirit. We going to show you that a little bit later. So now verse 16, go ahead. But when he was strong, he said, "But when he was strong," go ahead.

His heart was lifted up to his destruction. But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction. See, you want to watch that once God start blessing you with some good things. A lot of people start to forget about God. They forget about the one that gave it to him.

So he got a little heady and high minded now. And his heart was lifted up to his destruction. So now, keep reading. Go ahead. For he transgressed against the Lord his God.

He transgressed against the Lord his God. Go ahead. And went into the temple of the Lord to burn incense upon the altar of incense. Man, he know this ain't his job. We don't care about you being king or not.

We already know who the Lord he the ones who burn incense. Those was it was the Levites sisters and brothers. Yes, sir. So, you know you dead out of the tribe of Judah and you got no reasons, king or not, being in here burning no incense nowhere. And he knew that.

But see, his heart was lifted up. So he started to try to do too much for God. Don't become overly righteous either. You want to remember that? So now verse 17, go ahead.

And Azariah the priest went in after him. Go ahead. And with him fourth priest, he had and he brought an army with him. He brought 80 men with him. Now you had 80 priests that went in once the king went into the temple to burn incense.

Go ahead and read once uh four score priests of the Lord that were valiant men. And David stood Uzziah the king and said unto him, it appear appertain not unto thee, Uzziah burn incense to the Lord. Go ahead. But to the priest, the son that are consecrated to burn incense. Go ahead.

Go out of sanctuary. We don't care because you being no king, man. Get on up out of here, partner. They said they said get they said go out of the sanctuary. It ain't this ain't consecrated to you.

These are for the sovereign king or not. So keep reading. Go ahead. For thou has trespass. Neither shall it be for thine honor from the Lord God.

So now you done got all this honor, but you going in here burning this incense. That's not going to be that's not going to get you no honor from the Lord by doing this. Now sir, so now verse 19, go ahead. Then Uzziah was wroth. He was angry.

He getting ready. He getting ready to lose it all because of his anger. Now he said, "Then Uzziah was wrote," go ahead. And had his sister in his hand to burn incense. And while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priest in the house of the Lord.

Go ahead. From beside the incense also. So he So now, so now, so now what you going to get now? Uh, Mr. King, now we love you now.

Well, we know that you doing good, but because his anger, God had to smite him for this. Now, so once he went in there, he said the leprosy rose even in his forehead before the priests in the house of the Lord and from besides the incense altar. Verse 20, go ahead. And Aariah the chief priest and all the priests looked upon him and withhold and behold he was lepous in his forehead. He was lepous in his forehead.

Go ahead. And they thrust him out from them. Then they thrust him out. They grabbed him and they threw him out of the threw him out of the temple. Sisters and brothers, they thrust him out of the temple.

Go ahead. Yay. Himself hasted also to go because the Lord had smitten him because the Lord had swinn him. So now verse 21, go ahead. And Uzziah the king was a leper until the day of his death.

Go ahead. And dwelt in in a several houses. He had to he had to be separate from everybody else for the rest of his life because of his anger, sisters and brothers. Because of his anger. He said in Gaza the king was a leper unto the day of his of his death and dwelt in a several house.

Go ahead. Being a leper for he was cut off from the house of the Lord and Joseph his son was over the king's house. His son had to come in in his steed now and be over the king's house. Go ahead and read. Judging the people of the land.

He and he also had to judge the people of the land. Well, that was his job. So you see what your anger can do for you, sisters and brothers. See, not only will your anger get you in trouble with the Lord, it will also get you in trouble with man. So, you want to watch that.

So, now let's go back to the New Testament. Let's go to Ephesians the 4th chapter. Ephesians 4 and we going to pick it up at verse 21. That's why the Lord give us the Sabbath day, sisters and brothers. Amen.

Take a break. dwell in the scriptures and understand what the Lord wants you to do. Let's let's go to Ephesians 4 now and we gonna pick it up at verse 21. Ephesians 4:21. Go ahead and read.

If so be that ye heard of him and have been taught by him as the truth is in Jesus that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man go which is corrupt according to the deceitful lust. So now he going to show you what you got to change. Now he said that you put off concern in the form of conversation the old man or the old woman. You got to put that old man or that old woman off of you. And your conversation is your behavior.

You got to watch it, sisters and brothers. When you are representing God, your conversation or your behavior is everything before the people. Because how you going to call on God but yet you talking crazy like the rest of the world? It don't work like that. So now he said that you put off concerning the former conversations the old man which is corrupt now according to the deceitfulness.

So what else you got to be verse 23 go ahead and be renewed in the spirit of your mind. This is where the change start in between your ears. You got to be renewed in the spirit of your mind. Yes. Like we say all the time to have power over the body is to have power with God.

You got to have power over your mind. Sisters and brothers, he said, "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind." Verse 24, go ahead. And that ye put on the new man. Go ahead. Which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness, we talked about being holy.

Now, we just talked about that last week. Yes. Not only you got to have faith, but you got to also be holy, sisters and brothers. You got to be holy. Now he said that you put on the new man which after God now which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Verse 25. Go ahead. Wherefore putting away lying. Go ahead. Speak every man truth with his neighbor.

Go ahead. For we are members one of another. And that is another thing man. Put away lying. Don't be lying to nobody.

Like I say all the time you lie to people you scared of. You got a lot of men and they lie to their wife. Why? because they really afraid of their wife. So they go out and they lie to him.

Where you been? Oh, I've been over at my friend's house knowing you ain't been over there, right? Just sitting up there lying like it ain't nothing. He said, "Wherefore put away lying, speak every man the truth with his neighbor now, for we are members one of another." So what did he say at verse 26? Go ahead.

Be ye angry and sin not. He said, "Be ye angry and sin not." You going to get mad. You going to get mad about some things. You know, I I I went home yesterday and I my wife didn't know nothing about it. I went out and I cried because I feel like I got a boss that tried to work my fingers to the bone.

He think we back over in Egypt right now. That's what he think. And it made me so mad that I went out and cried about it. I was angry, but I ain't going I'm not going to sin about it. He said, "Be ye angry and sin not." Go ahead and read.

Let not the sun go down upon your wrath. Don't let the next day start when you still angry about something. You got to get it off your mind. People going to make you mad sometimes. You going to make yourself mad and you got to watch that too.

So he said, "Be ye angry and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath." Go ahead. 27. Need to give place to the devil. Once you are overly angry, you give place to the devil, sisters and brothers, because you gonna say something wrong.

you're gonna do something wrong. So now keep reading. Go ahead. 28. Let him that stole steal no more.

But rather let him labor working with his hands a thing which is good that he may have to give to him that needeth. Go ahead. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth. I wish I could read this every Sabbath if I could. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth.

Don't like I tell you all the time, quit all of the cussing. When somebody say something bad to you, don't say say it again and see what happened. Don't say that cuz you going to find yourself in a fight. You going to find yourself rolling around on the floor. Think about how many times they come up off in this space and see what happened.

Touch me and see. Don't do all that. You giving place to the devil when you do that. So don't give way to your wrath or to your corrupt communication. The Bible says that a soft answer turns away wrath.

A soft answer. you. Somebody might say something hard to you. Don't say nothing hard back. It don't make you no punk or make you soft or nothing like that.

It's showing that you a man or a woman of God. So he said, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth." Go ahead and read. But that which is good to the use of edifying. That's the only thing that got to come out of your mouth. But that which is good to the use of edifying.

Go ahead and read. That it may minister grace unto the hearers. you a man or a woman of God, they need to hear something good. They need to hear something that's godly. Like I called in at work, I called in at work, what what day was that?

Thursday, man. Everybody in the building came up to see, man, where is he at? Where is he at? Because I meet everybody every day. Peace to you, brother, in Jesus name.

You give somebody a kind word. That's what people need to hear. So that's why God said, "Let your righteousness shine forth as the light that everybody may see it." You can't take a light and put it under the table, right? The light got to be on top so everybody can see how righteous you truly are. And you can do it, sisters and brothers.

See, a lot of people give up because they do something bad. So they feel that God ain't on their side no more. That's when you got to repent and you got to return unto the Lord. So now keep reading, Elder. Go ahead.

30 and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God. Go ahead. Whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption. Go ahead. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clever and evil speaking be put away from you with all knowledge.

You hear what the Bible said? Let all bitterness, you still bitter about something that happened years ago. He said, take that bitterness out of you now. He said in wrath and anger and clamor and evil speaking. He said be put away from you with all knowledge.

This what it is to be a spiritual man or a spiritual woman. You got to put all of this stuff away. And he said, "Put it away from you with all malice." So now verse 32, go ahead. And be ye kind one to another. Tender heart.

Go ahead. Forgiving one another. That's what you got to do when people do you wrong, forgive them. Especially if they repent. If they say they sorry, you got to forgive them.

You can't say, "Well, you done told me you were sorry four times this week." So what? You still got to forgive him because you got a God that's watching you. He's he his eyes are on the righteous and his ears are what? Open unto their cry. So when they cry unto the Lord, he hear them now.

So he said, "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another." Go ahead and read. Even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. You know how you got down. You know how you was. You know how you was held on wheels.

You remember that. You remember the way you was before you came to the Lord. So you got to remember the same way that God forgave you, you got to forgive other people. That's just what it is, sisters and brothers. Yes, sir.

Like I say, when we when a man become a man, he put away childish things. You sitting around here being angry and bitter over something and the person that you mad at, they done moved all the way on with their life. And you still dwelling on what happened in the past. Let it go. It's gone now.

You ain't doing nothing but building a ditch for yourself. and and that ditch is going to be full of misery and hate and resentment. Yes, it is. So, now let's go to Proverbs 16 and we going to pick it up at verse 16. Proverbs 16 and we going to pick it up at verse 16.

Let's talk a little bit about wisdom because see you knowing how to control your anger you a and learning how to be humble would take wisdom to do that. Now, so Proverbs 16-16 go ahead. How much better is it to get wisdom than gold? Ask that to the world and see what they say. Ask the world.

Throw some gold bars. Throw some gold bars down on the floor and then you throw a Bible on the floor. See where they go for it in the world. They going to go straight forward. But see, God want you to have the wisdom more than the gold and the money.

Because see, the gold and the money going to perish. But see, the wisdom is going to lie with you when you die. And once you wake up, it's going to be your wisdom that's gonna get you in the kingdom of God. Yes. So now keep reading.

Go ahead. And to get understanding rather than tend to be chosen and sober, the highway of the upright is to depart from evil. Go ahead. He that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. And you got to think like that in the evil times.

Now God even say stay away from the appearance of evil. He said the highway of the upright is to depart from evil. You know what that highway is? that straight and narrow path. Yes, sir.

The path of the Lord is straight and narrow. But see, the world gonna go in many different directions and they gonna deal with other gods. They going to deal with anger. They going to deal with all of that. That's what they teach in Satanism, sisters and brothers.

They say, "Well, you know, anger and murder is man's nature. So, it's okay for you to do it because it's a part of you." See, the Lord know that as well, but he tells you what to depart from all of that stuff. Because if you let it get the best of you, you will mess around and kill somebody. So now he said the highway of the upright is to depart from evil. He that keepeth his way preserve his soul.

So now verse 18, go ahead. Pride go before destruction. Before God destroy you, you probably had a little pride going on. So you got to watch that pride. See pride.

He said pride go before destruction. Now go ahead and read. And a halty spirit before a fall. and a holy spirit before a fall. You was all lifted up.

Think about King Uzziah, how he was lifted up. Well, he went into the temple to burn incense, which was not his job. But then the Lord had to destroy it because he got lifted up. That's why God want you to watch that. Now, he said pride goeth before destruction and a hearty spirit before a fall.

So now verse 19, go ahead. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowest. Go ahead. there to divide the spoil with the prayer. But we just read what Simeon and Levi divided the spoil, didn't it?

They took all of the spoil of the city. But you see where it got them? It got them cursed by God. But he said, "Better is it to be of a humble spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud." So now verse 20, go ahead. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good.

Go ahead. And who so trustth in the Lord, go ahead, happy is he. So now let's get down to verse 29. Verse 29. Uh you know what?

Pick it up at verse 27. Read that verse 27. Go ahead and read. An ungodly man dig up evil. That's what an ungodly man do.

He said an ungodly man, he digth up evil. Sisters and brothers. That's what a god a ungodly man do. Go ahead. And in his lips there is as a burning fire.

And his lip there is as a burning fire. So what's that burning fire that's in his lips? What's behind him? His tongue. So what did God say off in James the third chapter?

He said the tongue is a is a fire. He said a world of iniquity. Sisters and brothers, your words can hurt people. When you say harsh words to your wife or to your husband, that hurts them. And you can never take those words back.

They might forgive you for the words that they say, but you can never take them back. They'll always remember when you call her the B word or the H word or whatever else. So that's why you don't want to say it. Now that's what a godly man that's what an ungodly man do. He dig it up evil and in his lips there is a burning fire.

So now verse 28, go ahead and read. And forward man sw that's what a forward man do. He swore strife. Go ahead. And a whisperer separate chief bread.

And that's what a whisperer does. You know you backbite. You playing both sides of the fence. You talk to this person one way and then you go back and say something else to somebody else. But see, that's what a whisperer does.

A whisperer separated chief friends. So now verse 29, go ahead and read. A violent man enticeth his neighbor. That's what a That's what a viol a violent man enticeth his neighbor. Go ahead.

And lead him into the way that is not good. So how can a violent man entice Abel? He might be making fun of somebody. He might be justing, fooling around, playing, telling telling uh your mama jokes and stuff like that. He's enticing his neighbor.

See, God know when you trying to push somebody away, he understands that. So, a violent man enticing his neighbor. Go ahead and read. Go ahead. He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty.

That's what he say. He said, "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty." Sisters and brothers, slow to anger. Go ahead and read. And he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a sick. So you when you rule your spirit, you got to rule it.

That's why we say the spirit of anger versus the spirit of humility. It's a spirit. And you got to be able to control it. Now he that is slow to anger is better than the mighty. And he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

You got to be able to control your anger. Control your mouth. You got to do that sisters and brothers. Yes, sir. So now let's go to Proverbs 22.

Proverbs 22 now and we going to pick it up at verse four. Proverbs 22 and we going to pick it up at verse four. When you get there, go ahead, Ellen. By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life. That's what the Bible said now.

That's what you get. That's what you get when you get humility, sisters and brothers. Yeah. He said, "By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life." So now, keep reading. Go ahead.

Skip down to verse eight. Verse eight. Go ahead. He that sweth iniquity shall reap vanity. Go ahead.

And the rod of his anger shall fail. In the end, the rod of your anger going to fail. Now, but he said, "He that sweth iniquity shall reap vanity, and the rod of his anger eventually is going to fall." So now, skip down to verse 20. Verse 20. And go ahead.

Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge? Keep reading. That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee. Okay, skip down to verse 24. Verse 24.

This is the Bible. The Bible is not plain when he tell you this right here. Look at what he tell you at verse 24. Go ahead and read. Make no friendship with an angry man.

The Bible said that, sisters and brothers. The Bible said make no friendship with an angry man. You got somebody mad all the time. Mad about everything. Ain't never a don't never have a nice spirit about him or about her.

The Lord said, "Don't even make no friendship with these people." Now, he said, "Make no friendship with an angry man." Go ahead. And with that furious man that thou shalt not go. Go ahead. Lest thou learn his way. Go ahead.

And get a snare to thy soul. He around one of his partners. He angry. He go home. This man talk mad crazy to his wife.

You might you might go around and say, "Well, he do it. So I might turn around and start doing it. Let me talk crazy to mine." See, you don't want to do that, sisters and brothers. He said, "Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man, thou shalt not go. Least thou learn his ways and get a snar into thy soul, sisters and brothers." So now let's go a little further now.

Let's go to Colossians 3. Colossians 3 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Colossians 3 and one. That's what we doing. We vibing on the Sabbath day, sisters and brothers.

The Lord told us, hey, get together and read this book. A lot of people don't like to read. And that's what the the preacher has done. the the preacher has done the people because the people don't pick the book up and read it for themselves no more. Right.

You got to read the book for yourself. Yes, sir. You know, don't let no man just where I'm standing stand right here and tell you and dictate you getting off into the kingdom. We here to help. But you got to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Sisters and brothers, you got to work it out. In the end, your children, your wife, your family, people that you tried to talk to about the Bible, they ain't gonna be standing with you in judgment. You gonna stand by yourself. And when you stand by yourself, that's when everything going to hit the table. I'mma pull out the book of life and I'm going to pull out this book right here and I'mma judge you according to everything that's written in this book.

Especially when you call on him. That's why God say it's better for you not to have known the way of righteousness than for you to know the way of righteousness and turn away from it. You can't turn away. It ain't no like we talk all the time and with the Lord is blood in blood out. He shed his blood for you and you going to shed your blood if you try to leave him.

Now that's just what it is. So now Colossians 3. Colossians 3 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Colossians 3 and 1. This one of the most important chapters we going to read today.

Now, Colossians 3:1. Go ahead. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ siteth on the right hand of God. He telling you what to do now. So, you seeking the Lord now.

You got to seek Christ. You got to seek him. You He But he said if you knock, I'mma open the door to you. See, I knock on your door. You might not open the door.

You might keep it closed. That's what a lot of people do to God. A lot of people do it. A lot of people just cannot. They're not ready to live a godly life.

They're not ready for that. You got a lot of women, they ain't ready to cover their heads when they go to church. You got people, they don't want to go to church on Saturday because that's the day they do everything. So, a lot of people not ready for this, sisters and brothers. And if you not ready for this, I tell you now, you better wait and get ready for it.

Because if you can't get in this thing and then all of a sudden you hear the words and you gone, you better do like what that brother that did. Straight up. So now let's keep reading. Verse two. Go ahead.

Set your affection on things above. Go ahead. Not on things on the earth. That's what you got to set your affections on. On things above and not on things on the earth.

You got to set your affections on God going to bring the kingdom to the earth. One day I'm going to be able to sit with Moses and Elijah. One day I'mma be able to sit with Jeremiah and all of the other prophets one day and know what it was like when what when when we was going through what we had to go through versus what they had to go through when it come to the word of God. So now he says set your affections on things above and not on things of the earth. Verse three, go ahead.

When you are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God. So now why did he say you dead? You you sitting around here, you alive like it ain't nothing. But he said, but you are dead. The old you is dead.

Your old ways are dead. That old man and that old woman, that old conversation is dead. And your life is hid with Christ and God. What life? Eternal life, sisters and brothers.

That's what's hid with God. So now verse four, go ahead. When Christ go who is our light shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. You hear what that say? You going to pray with him also in glory.

Can you imagine that? Can you imagine one day that you going to be able to just pop up in a room? You ain't got to open a door at all. One day you going to shine so bright that the naked eye cannot be able to look at you. That's what you're fighting for.

So now verse five, go ahead and read. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth. So now he said, "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth." Mortify means to put it to death. Go ahead and read. Fornication.

You got to put fornication away. Fornication. That's fornicating with different gods. And fornicate is also a person that's sleeping with multiple people. You got to put that away.

That's fornication. You got to put that to death. Go ahead and read. Uncleaness. Go ahead.

Inordinate affection. He said, inordinate affection. Go ahead and read. Evil concubism. Go ahead.

and and covetousness which is idolatry for which things seek the wrath of God come upon the children of disobedience. Go ahead. In the which ye also walk sometimes go ahead. But you live in them. That's the reason why what we say all the time.

Don't forget where you came from. Don't forget how you used to act. Don't forget how disobedient you were to a god. because you work. He said, for which things say the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience, and the which ye also walk sometime when you lived in them.

So now he going to tell you something else to put away. Verse eight. Go ahead. But now ye also put off all of these. He said, "But now ye also have put off all of these." Now go ahead and read anger.

That was the first thing he started with was your anger. Put it away from you. Anger. Go ahead. Right.

You got to put your wrath away because see wrath going to make you take vengeance. Go ahead and read malice. You got to put away that malice. You did it to me, so now I'm going to turn around. I'mma do it to you.

You did it, so I'mma do it, so I'mma get even. That's malice, sisters and brothers. Doing something back to somebody else on purpose. So now, keep reading. Go ahead.

Blasphemy. Go ahead. Filthy communication out of your mouth. And filthy communication out of your mouth. you.

How can you have salt water and fresh water in your mouth at the same time? How can you be talking about Colossians and but you also using the el bombs and the P words and all of that? It don't work. Sisters and brothers, get all that stuff out of your mouth. I'mma say it all the time.

Every Sabbath if I can. So now you keep reading. Go ahead. N lie not one to another. We already covered that.

He said, "Lie not one to another." Go ahead. Seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds. See, those were the old man deeds. That's what he did. The old man used to lie and had anger and wrath and malice and blasphemy.

That's what the old man had. But now you got to put on the new man. Verse 10. Go ahead. And have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.

You mean you got to be in his image that created him? You got to be in the image of Jesus. That's the reason why he said he is a refined as fire and purifier of silver. You got to be able Jesus got to be able to see himself back in you. Like if you go look at a reflection in the water and you see your reflection in it, Jesus got to see that back in you.

That's what he talking about. Now he said, "And have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." Verse 11, go ahead. where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcising, barbarian, cyian, bond nor free, but Christ is all and in all. So now this what you got to put on. Go ahead and read.

Put on therefore as the elect of God. Go ahead. Holy and beloved. We talked about being holy last week, sisters and brothers. You got to put on holy and beloved.

Now go ahead and read vows of mercy. You got to also put on vows of mercy. See Jesus and and the father they mercy endured forever. So you got to put on bows of mercies as a man or a woman of God. Go ahead and read.

Kindness. Go ahead. Humbleness of mind. You humbleness of mind. Humble yourself.

Sometimes you got to bring your expectations down. Sometimes your expectations are too high. You got to bring them down. See that's what humbleness of mind is. Go ahead and read me.

Go ahead. Longsuffering. And that is a big one right there. Longsuffering. We people not longsuffering with one another no more.

We do something wrong to somebody, the first thing we want to do is don't be longsuffering with them. One of your spouses they commit, they do something that's wrong. You ain't longsuffering with them. You ready to leave them? You can't do that.

Jesus didn't leave you. So, you got to be longsuffering. Verse 13, go ahead. forbearing one another and forgiving one another. If any man ever have a quarrel against any, even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Go ahead. And above all these things, put on charity. Go ahead. Which is the bond of perfectness. That's the bond of perfectness.

Sisters and brothers, if you want to be perfect, you got to put on charity. And charity is love. God is love. That's what you got to put on. See, that's the bond of perfectness.

It's like super glue. You once you when some you break something in order for it not to move again for it to be perfect, you put some super glue on it. See, that's what charity and love is. That's the bond of perfectness. See, the Lord told Abraham, "Walk before me and be thou perfect." But in order for you to be perfect, you got to put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And now verse 15, go ahead. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Go ahead. To the which also you are called in one body. And be ye thankful.

Go ahead. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Go ahead. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Go ahead and read.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your husbands as it is fit in the Lord. We might as well throw this in. We got a lot of married people that's in this class. We got some that's even kind of absent today. So he So now he said, "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as it is fit unto the Lord." You got a lot of women, I know it ain't popular nowadays, but you got to submit yourselves to your husband.

You got to do that. That's your husband. That's your head. And you don't be fighting against your head because you are submitting to your husband as it is fit unto the Lord. So now what did he say to the husbands?

Go ahead. 19 husbands love your wives. Go ahead. And be not bitter against them. That's what he told to the husband, love your wives and be not bitter against them.

Because we threw this marriage in because we did a we did a power hour concerning marriage not too long ago. And you get people fighting in their marriages now like cats and dogs. Stay in to it with one another over nothing. When you look at why you why your husband a and your wife is fighting, sometimes it be over the smallest things. And I'm not saying sometime it's not going to happen, but you can't be bitter against one another.

You got to be able to work past it. Now, so we said, "Love a husband, love your wives, and be not bitter against them." Got me. They be cussing their wives out. Well, guess what? I ain't going to cuss mine out.

You can best believe that. So now keep reading. Go ahead. 20. Children, obey your parents in all things.

Go ahead. For this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Go ahead. Fathers, provoke not your children to anger. Don't provoke your children to anger.

Go ahead and read. Lest they be discouraged. Because sometimes you can push your child too much. Don't push them too much. Only give them a little.

See, I don't I wasn't pushing the Bible on my son all the time. All the time. Here it is. What I do is I let them watch the example. So as they get older, then you start feeding it more to them.

You start feeding them more. That way when they get older that they don't walk away from this because a lot of children don't want to deal with this, sisters and brothers, they don't want to go to church on the Sabbath day. So he said, "Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, least they be discouraged." So now verse 22, go ahead. Servants, obey in all things your masters, referring to the flesh. Go ahead.

Not with eye service as men pleaser. Go ahead. But in singleness of heart, fearing God. You know that then that's your boss at your job. He even want you to be he even want you to be obedient unto him.

The man at your job tell you to do something. Yeah, I'mma do it. You turn around and you say to yo, I ain't doing nothing what they told me to do. I ain't doing that. See, God don't want you to do that.

That's you even doing that when I serve his sisters and brothers. But he even wants you to serve the people at your job in singleness of heart, even fearing God. So now verse 23, go ahead. And whatsoever ye do, go ahead. Do it hard.

Go ahead. Ask to the Lord. Go ahead. And not unto men. So now you had a brother.

I had a brother. Amen. You take pride in what you do at your job. I say I don't take no pride in nothing because see, pride is of the devil. But whatever you want to do, you want to do it heartily.

You want to do it with all your might because you doing it unto the Lord and not unto men. In your mind, in their mind, you doing it for them. But in your mind, you are doing this only for the Lord, sisters and brothers. So now verse 24, go ahead. Knowing that of the Lord, ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance, for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Go ahead. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done. Go ahead. And there is no respect of persons. I don't know how many times we got to tell you that sisters and brothers.

There is no respect of persons with the Lord. So now let's show you what God require of us. Let's go to Micah the 6th chapter. And we getting there. Let's go to Micah 6.

Micah 6. And we going to pick it up at verse 8. Micah the 6th chapter. And we gonna pick it up at verse eight. We gonna read only one verse right here.

Micah the 8th chapter and we go. What did I say? Micah 6. And we going to pick it up at verse 8. Micah 6.

And we going to pick it up at verse 8. Micah 6 and 8. Soon as I get there. Micah 6 and verse 8. And when you get there, Elder, go ahead and read.

He has showed thee, oh man, what is good. So now he said, he has showed thee, oh man, what is good. And this is God now. He has showed thee, oh man, what is good. Go ahead and read.

And what do the Lord require of thee? So if you want to know what God requires of you, you getting ready to read about it now. He said, "And what does the Lord require of thee?" Go ahead. But to do justly, and to love mercy, go ahead. And to walk humbly with thy God.

If you do this, you farewell, sisters and brothers. Yes, sir. You see what the Lord requires of you? That he has showed thee, oh man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of thee?

but to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God. That's the only thing that God requires for a servant to do other than obey him. Sisters and brothers, if you do this, you got a chance to live forever. So now, let's go to St. Matthew the 18th chapter.

Now, St. Matthew 18, and we going to pick it up at verse one. St. Matthew 18, and we going to pick it up at verse one. St.

Matthew 18 and we going to pick it up at verse one. So now let's go and show you what the master said, sisters and brothers and what he requires of us and the humility that he requires us to have. The title of the lesson, the spirit of anger versus the spirit of humility. St. Matthew the 18th chapter, let's pick it up at verse one.

When you get there, go ahead and read. At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And Jesus called a little child unto him and set him in the midst of them and said, "Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." He said, "You got to become as little children, sisters and brothers." And we don't have the little children today. They always should. Y'all know the girls be in the back. You see how humble they are.

You take some candy away from them. They ain't going to do nothing but cry because they humble. Ain't nothing they can really do about it. That's the way that the Lord want you to be. He said, "Verily, I say unto you, except you be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Verse four, go ahead.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. So if humility makes you great, humility makes you a great person. And a good name is to be chosen rather than great riches. We could have put that in the lesson today. So whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

So now verse five, go ahead. And who so shall receive once such little child in my name receiveth me. But who so shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me? Go ahead. It were better for him that a millstone will hang around his neck and that he will drown in the depths of the sea.

See, God know you humble and God ain't you better. Hey, listen here, man. When you dealing with a man or a woman that's really serving the Lord, you better be very in particular on how you treat him because that angel is watching. See, God know you humble and he know you not going to take vengeance. But see, God to take vengeance for you.

See, that's what he said. He said, "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and that he was drowned in the depths of the sea." That's a chain around your neck with a big old bone of ball and you just going to sink straight to the bottom. And if you ain't never drowned, they say it's one of the worst deaths you can ever experience. See, can't nobody take vengeance the way that God take vengeance. So now verse seven.

Go ahead. Verse seven. Is that it? Yes. Verse seven.

Go ahead. Woe unto the world because of offenses. Go ahead. For it must needs be that offenses come. It must needs be that offenses will come.

You going to get offended. He said must needs be. That means some you going to get angry. He said woe unto the world because of offenses for it must needs be that offenses come. But now what did Jesus say?

Go ahead. But woe to the man to that man by whom the offensive come. By whom the offense come and God gonna get you. He watching you. He watching your every move.

But we could have read that the good stuff of of a man or what they ordered by the Lord, sisters and brothers. So now let's go to James the 4th chapter. James 4 and we going to pick it up at verse one. James the 4th chapter and we going to pick it up at verse one. Let's show you what he what he had to say about this situation, sisters and brothers.

And y'all know who this James is. This James is Jesus's brother. Yes, sir. This was the one that was converted. See, not see even even even his family didn't believe in him at first, but once Jesus died on the cross, all his family was converted.

So now this is James 4 and we going to pick it up at verse one. James 4 and1. Go ahead and read. For whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence even of your lust that war in your memory?

He said, he said, "For whence come wars and fightings among you." He said, "Come they not h even your lust that war in your members." That's why when somebody in it and people fighting with one another, somebody just steeped in pride and is all coming from among you. Now, so now notice what he said at verse two. Go ahead. Ye lust and have not. He said, "You lust and you have not." Go ahead.

You kill and desire to have. But he said, "You kill and you desire to have." Go ahead. And cannot obtain. But you cannot obtain. Go ahead.

fighting war yet he have not. Go ahead. Because you asked not. See, a lot of people don't have because you don't ask them. Sisters and brothers, if your child wants something, you they you expect for them to ask you for it.

And guess what? You going to give it to him. Whatever your child ask you for. So now he said he said he said you want yet you have not. He said because you ask not.

So now he going to tell you why you do not obtain it. Verse three. Go ahead. Ye asked and receive not. Go ahead.

Because you ask a miss. He said you ask and receive not because you ask a miss. Go ahead and read. That ye may consume it upon your lust. You ask and you receive not because you ask a miss that you may consume it upon your own lust.

Sisters and brothers. See, you can't ask for something because you're lusting for it. It got to be something that you need. And he said, "Ask it." Because when you ask him, you don't believe him. You don't believe he'll give it to you.

So you got to believe that once you ask God for something that he going to give it to you, sisters and brothers. So now notice what he said about the adulterers. Verse four, go ahead. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God. Whosoever therefore will be a friend with the world, go ahead, is the enemy of God.

If you a friend of the world and you an enemy with God, sisters and brothers, if you a friend of the world, Jesus said come out of the world. He said, "Whosoever love the world, then the love of the father is not in them." So you got to come out of the deeds of the world. So now verse five, go ahead. Do you think that the scripture sayeth in vain? The spirit that dwelleth in us lustth to envy, but he giveth more grace.

Wherefore he said, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. You hear what he say? He said, but he but he said, but he giveth more grace. Now wherefore he said God he resisted the proud but giveth grace unto the humble sisters and brothers. So now verse seven go ahead.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Go ahead. Resist the devil. Go ahead. And he will flee from you.

That's all you got to say. You got to resist the devil and he will flee from you. You got to say get thee behind me say. And when you say it, you got to believe it, sisters and brothers. And when you believe it, them devils got to go.

One thing they got to do is obey the righteous. They got to do it. So once you submit yourselves to God, he said, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Verse eight, go ahead. Draw nigh to God. Go ahead.

And he will draw nigh to you. This could be a whole lesson within itself. Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh unto you. Go ahead and read. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, you double minded.

Be afflicted and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord. Go ahead. And he shall lift you up.

That's what you got to do with God. Now, he shall humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and he shall lift you up. Go ahead and read. Speak not evil one of another, brethren. And that's another thing you got to do.

Don't speak evil of your brother. The Bible telling you that. He says, "Speak not evil one of another brethren." Go ahead and read. He that speaketh of evil of his brother and judge of his brother speak of evil of the Lord. And we started this lesson where we was talking about in Romans 2 where we talking about you judging somebody.

You judging somebody but yet you do the same thing that the people that you judge. So now you a hearer of the word but you're not a doer of the word. You don't want to be that. So now he said he says speak not evil one of another brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother and judgeth his brother speaketh evil of the law.

Go ahead and read. And judgeth the law. Go ahead. But if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law. Go ahead.

But a judge. Go ahead. There is one lawgiver. There was only one lawgiver. Go ahead.

Who is above who was able to save and to destroy. And that is none other than Jesus. Sister and brother. See, Jesus can save but he can also destroy. And we read about that in Psalms the 90th chapter when we read about this the anger of the Lord because he get anger too.

But he also told you that his anger don't last forever because if his anger lasted forever then there will be nobody else alive. And the book told us that. So now keep reading Elder. Go ahead. Who art thou that judgest another?

Go to now ye that say today or tomorrow we will go into such a city and continue there a year and buy and sell and get gain. Whereas ye know that what know not what shall be on tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appearth for a little time and then vanished away. That's how long we here.

We read that too sisters and brothers. That's what your life is. is even as a vapor that appearth for a little time and then it vanishth away sisters and brothers. So now let's go to first Peter the 5th chapter now. First Peter 5 and we going to only read two verses right here.

Let's go to first Peter 5 and we going to pick it up at verse four. First Peter 5 and we going to pick it up at verse four. First Peter 5 and 4. Go ahead, Elder. And when the chief shepherd shall appear, go ahead.

You shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. That's the crown of glory. That's eternal life, sisters and brothers. We talk about it every lesson. One day you going to wake up and you going to get eternal life.

And the chief, the chief shepherd is none other than Jesus. Now he said, "And when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away." So now verse five, go ahead. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yay, all of you be subject one to another. Go ahead.

And be called with humility. Go ahead. For God resisteth the proud. Go ahead. And give of grace to the humble.

You hear what he say, sisters and brothers. He said, he said, "Likewise, ye youngest, submit yourselves unto the elder, but he said, likewise, submit yourselves one to another, and be clothed with humility." Be clothed with it. He said, "For God resisted the proud and giveth grace unto the humble." So now read that verse six. Go ahead and read. Go ahead and read that verse six.

Go ahead. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God. Go ahead. That he may exalt you in due time. And we going to read a parable about that at the end of the lesson.

So now let's go to Psalms 149. Now Psalms 149. And we gonna pick it up at verse one. Psalms 149 and we going to pick it up at verse one. So we reading about one of the fruits of the spirit, sisters and brothers.

One of the fruits of the spirit is humility. Humility. And when you be and when you get humility, you going to be beautified with something. So let's show you for you being humble what God is going to beautify you with. Let's go to Psalms 149 and we going to pick it up at verse one.

Psalms 149 and we going to pick it up at verse one. When you get there, go ahead. Israel. Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song and his praise in a congregation of saints.

Go ahead. Let Israel rejoice in him that man. That's what we need to do. Israel, we need to rejoice in the Lord. Sisters and brothers, I understand the Lord done cast us away.

We done, we living in our enemy's land. We don't know who we are. You got all these people out here, they think they Africanameans, thinking they continent, but not understanding that you are the sons and the daughter of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Amen. So he said, "Let let Israel rejoice in him that made him." Go ahead and read.

Let the children of Zion be joyful in their king. Go ahead. Let them praise his name in the day. Go ahead. Let them sing praises unto him with the timber and heart.

Go ahead. For the Lord take pleasure in his people. He will beautify the meek with salvation. You put this in there. You put this in not too long ago now.

He said, "For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people now. He will beautify the meek with salvation." Beautify a beautiful body. A beautiful body that don't die, don't catch AIDS, don't catch cancer, don't have joints and ligaments tearing all up, don't have no wrinkles in your face at all. That's what God going to give you for just being humble. So now let's pick it up at verse five.

Go ahead. Let the saints be joyful in glory. Go ahead. Let them sing aloud upon their bed. Go ahead.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth. Go ahead. And a two sword in their hand. And I can't tell I can't lie about that. I I wouldn't mind having a little sword in my hand in the end to come back and fight with the Lord.

That's right. I wouldn't I would I wouldn't I would I would love to make the first resurrection. And when he say I'll rise and we meet the Lord in the air. He come back and his feet go stand on the Mount of Olives split wide open and get all of the wicked in the world. Every child, all of y'all just come on over here.

He said, "Let the let let the high praises of God be in their mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand." So now what they going to do, verse seven, go ahead. To execute vengeance upon the heathen to execute vengeance upon the heathen that will come on all of the nations. Go ahead. And punishments upon the people. Go ahead.

to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with feathers of iron to execute upon them the judgment written his honor have all his things. Go ahead. Praise ye the Lord. That's going to be the honor, sisters and brothers. That's going to be the honor.

Now, let's go to Isaiah 61. And we only got three more after this. Let's go to Isaiah 61 now. And we gonna pick it up at verse one. Isaiah 61.

And we gonna pick it up at verse one. Isaiah 61 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Let's show you what the prophet Isaiah had to say about the about the humble sisters and brothers. And the more older you get, the more humble you should become. You should become a little bit more humble.

Let's show you prophecy. This prophecy was in when we read in St. Luke the 4th chapter when we show you uh when Jesus kept the Sabbath there. If you keep reading right on down, it's going to show you this is what Jesus read when he went and taught the people on the Sabbath. This exact verse right here.

Let's read Isaiah 61 and pick it up at verse one. Go ahead and read. The spirit of the Lord is upon me. So now he said, "The spirit of the Lord is upon me now." So this is Jesus speaking through the mouth of Jeremiah. He said, "The spirit of the Lord of the Lord God is upon me." Go ahead and read.

Because the Lord have anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He He He anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. Don't you get tired of bad tidings all the time? When you watch the news, that's all you see. So you got to watch.

You got to listen to the good news. This the good news right here. Keep reading. Go ahead. Heath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted. Go ahead. To proclaim liberty to the captives. That the captives. Who to to proclaim liberty to the captives?

Who are the captives? The captives of Israel, sisters and brothers. Go ahead and read. And the opening [clears throat] of of the prison to them that are bound to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. Go ahead.

In the day of vengeance of our God. Go ahead. To comfort all that mourn. He's saying a whole lot, sisters and brothers. He said to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

The acceptable year of the Lord is when he died on the cross, sisters and brothers. When he nailed sin to the cross. That was the acceptable year of the Lord. He said, "And the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourn." So now verse three, go ahead. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, to give unto them beautyful ashes.

It ain't going to be no more ashes like we fasting today. We doing our monthly fast, but we doing the fast now to way that they did it in the New Testament. In the Old Testament, they would rent their garments and they would put their ashes on them. So you got to look at the time frame that the Lord wrote this now. He said to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion to give unto them beauty for ashes.

Go ahead and read the oil of joy for morning. The oil of joy for mourning. Go ahead. The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. And going to give them also the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

What is the garment of praise? The white raignment, sisters and brothers. Those white robes that the Lord going to give you, that is that's what you going to be clothed with. Go ahead and read. That they might be called trees of righteousness.

Go ahead. The planting of the Lord. Go ahead. That he might be glorified. That's what I want to be, sisters and brothers.

So now let's skip down to verse 10. Skip down to verse 10 and go ahead and read. I would greatly rejoice in the Lord. My soul shall be joyful in my God. Go ahead.

For he have clothed me with the garments of salvation. He had he had clothed me with the garments of salvation. Go ahead. He have covered me with the robe of righteousness. Go ahead.

As a bridegroom decked himself with ornaments and as a bride, a daughter of herself with her jewel. Now, you ain't going to have a piece of gold around your neck, boy. But this how you going to look when you get into the kingdom. Yes. This is what you looking for.

You ain't got nothing on. But see, there ain't no gold in the world that's going to give you a spiritual body. Do you understand what you got for when you come in these classes and where everybody else is teaching right about the Sabbath day? You going to get this in the end. Don't get this up for nobody sir.

For nobody. You got to keep going with this because this is your reward and that's to live forever. You going to live forever no matter what. But you going to see the flesh and blood can't burn up in the lake of fire. You going to still be a spirit man.

So now, but this is the side of the kingdom that you want to bring that you want to do. So now read that verse 11. Go ahead. But as the earth bringeth forth her, he said, "For as the earth bringeth forth her bud," go ahead. And as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, go ahead.

So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. All of the nations. Sisters and brothers. See, one day ain't nobody going to be eating pork and shrimp and lobster and scallops. No more.

Everybody going to know about when the Sabbath day is. Everybody going to know what it is to love. Everybody going to know it one day. We just got to wait on it. Just like we talk about all the time.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. That's your strength, sisters and brothers. So now let's go to St. Matthew. Let's go to St.

Matthew the 11th chapter and we going to pick it up at verse 25. St. Matthew 11 and we going to pick it up at verse 25. St. Matthew 11 and we going to pick it up at verse 25.

Let's show you. Let's show you what else what the Lord what the Lord want us to have, sisters and brothers. He wants you to have his spirit. Yes, sir. He wants you to have his spirit.

So now, let's pick it up. Let's pick it up at verse at verse 25. Go ahead. At that time, Jesus answered and said, "I thank thee, oh father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent." Go ahead. and has revealed them unto babes.

We all babes. We men, we ain't nothing special. We wear t-shirt and jeans to class. We just regular men. But we know one thing.

We know we know where we going. We understand that we we understand what we dealing with with this gospel. Yes, sir. See, a lot of people you you they they they feel that you wise and prudent when you got on a three-piece Armani suit. But see, Jesus would have never did nothing like that.

Even Jesus walked around in modest apparel. That's what modest apparel is. It ain't got to be the most expensive thing in the world, but he wants you to dress modestly, sisters and brothers. See, when you do thing modestly, then that shows your humility. So now go ahead and read 26.

Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. Go ahead. All things are delivered unto me of my father, and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father, neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to wh whosoever the Son will rebel him. Go ahead. Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden.

Go ahead. And I will give you rest. That's what he going to give us, sisters and brothers. He said, y'all remember when we read earlier in the lesson, he said, "All my years are labor and sorrow." See, that's what you going to get in this life. But see, Jesus said, "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Verse 29, go ahead.

Take my yoke upon you. He said, "Take my yoke upon you." Go ahead. And learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest in your soul. Go ahead. For my yoke is easy.

Go ahead. And my burden is light. But what's what he said? My yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Yes.

All I'm asking you to be is meek and humble. That's it. See, it's a people. Oh, man. This just old milk le.

We talk about humility all the time. Then why a lot of people in the nation of Israel are not humble? Why are we still struggling with such a topic? Because you got to apply it to your life, sisters and brothers. So now, let's go to Acts the 7th chapter.

We going to read this last example. Let's go talk about Stephanie. Let's go talk about one of the most meekst men you going to ever read about in the Bible. And then you compare what happened to him and what would you do in this situation if they was getting ready to kill you because of the word of God. See right now everybody living safe, everybody living good.

But the closer we get toward tribulation, the more and more love that you show the people in the world, the more and more hate you going to get back in return when you show love to the people. So remember that. So now let's go to Acts the 7th chapter. Now, Acts 7 and we going to pick it up at verse 51. This is 101 Bible we read, sisters and brothers.

Acts the 7th chapter and let's pick it up at verse 51. We got one more after this. Acts 7 and pick it up at verse 51. Go ahead and read. And they made a calf in those days and offer sacrificing to the idol and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

Then God turned and gave them up to worship the host of heaven. as it is written in the book of the prophets. Oh ye house of Israel, have you offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of 40 years in the wilderness? Go ahead. Yay.

You took up the tabernacle of Moab. You took up the tabernacle of Molech. You know, we read about Molech last week. That's where the children were sacrificing their kids in the fire. So they gave they gave their children unto Molech.

Now, so now keep reading. Go ahead. And the star of your God, Reff. The star of your God, Riff Ram. When you look at the so-called Jewish flag and they got that star, Reframe, that's not the star of David.

That is the star of Riffra. Sisters and brothers, go ahead and read. Figures which ye may made to worship them, and I will carry you away beyond Babylon. And I will carry you away even to Babylon. So now, let's skip down to verse 51.

Verse 51. And go ahead. Go. Verse 51. That's what I meant.

Stiff neck and unc and uncircumcised in your heart and ears. Go ahead. You do always resist the Holy Ghost. As your fathers did, so do ye. Go ahead.

Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? And have and they have slain them which show before of the coming of the just one of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers who have received the law by the disposition of angels and have not kept it. Go ahead. When they heard these things, they were cut to the horse. Go ahead.

And they nashed on him with their teeth. I wrote that down, y'all. I meant to pick it up at 51, but I'm glad he read 42 and 41 because we did give our children unto Molech and we did deal with the star of Reffra and and people keep time and try to put the feast days and all this stuff uh considering these gods. But now when you go back, he said he said at verse 54, now he said when they heard these things, there was cut to the heart and they nashed on them with their teeth. But now what did he do?

Let's show you 101 humility. Verse 55. Go ahead. But he being full of the Holy Ghost looked up steadfastly into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. Go ahead.

And said, "Behold, I see the heavens open, and the son of man standing on the right hand of God." Then they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and ran upon him with one accord. Go ahead. They cast him out of the city and stoned him. They cast him out of the city and they stoned him, sisters and brothers, because of the word of God. Go ahead.

And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the young man's feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Go ahead. And he kneel down and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. When they killed him, sisters and brothers, you hear what Stephan said?

He said, "Let not this sin to their charge." Now, these people took him out of the city, stoned him to death. All because of the word of God. Yes. And he told them, "Don't lay this sin to their charge of them murdering him." Sisters and brothers, that's a humble spirit. Go ahead and read.

And when he had said this, go ahead. He fell asleep. And when they said this, he fell asleep. They hidden him with rocks at the time that he's praying to God and said, "Lord, don't even lay this sin to their charge." That's the devil stepping. That's a humble spirit.

So now, let's go to the last place. Let's go to St. Luke the 14th chapter now. And we going to pick it up at verse one. St.

Luke 14 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Let's read the parable of humility, sisters and brothers. Let's go to St. Luke the 14th chapter and we going to pick it up at verse one. St.

Luke 14 and we going to pick it up at verse one and we going to read a little bit about the Sabbath. There's also it's good to do well on the Sabbath, too. Now, you going to have some things that's going to happen on the Sabbath that you might have to take care of. But now, let's read uh St. Luke the 14th chapter.

Pick it up at verse one. Go ahead and read. And it came to pass as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath day that they watched him. And behold, there was a certain man before him which had the lepard juice droops. And Jesus answer speaking, and Jesus actually spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?" Go ahead.

And they held their peace, and he and he took him and healed him and let him go. See, it's a reason why they didn't say nothing to Jesus right here now because they was asking him questions all the time. But Jesus had already checked them when he said the baptism is it from was it from God or was it from man? And when he asked them that they didn't know. So they didn't ask him any more questions.

So Jesus at this time he said is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day? And they held their peace and they took him and he took him and healed him and let him go. So now verse five go ahead. And he answered them, saying, "Which of you shall have an ax or an ox fallen into a pit and will not straight away pull him out of the on the Sabbath day?" So if you got an ox and he fall into the ditch, you going to leave him in there. Hey man, this is Sabbath.

I'll be back a little bit later on. He all right. No, you going to go ahead on and you going to help him. You going to pick him on up out of there whether it's a Sabbath or not. Yeah.

You know, I remember one time when I was going to the Israel of God, you know, right before the feast days when they were there, it was a woman. She she had she was and matter of fact, she was going to the feast day and she had a flat tire. I had to go over there. I had to help her and change it. Now, so sometimes you got to you got to do things when it's on the Sabbath day.

But now, keep reading. Go ahead. Six. And they could not answer him again to these things. Go ahead.

And he put forth a parable to those which were were bidden. When he marked how they chose out of the chief rooms, saying unto them, go ahead. When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room, lest a more honorable man than thou be bitten of him. So now you go to the highest seat and you sit down and all of a sudden they walk up to you and say, "Uh, sir, these seats are reserved." That happened to me one time at a Pacers game and it was in front of everybody. I ain't know.

I mean, I don't go to the games. I had free tickets. I went and I just sat down anywhere. But they went and they kindly got up and walked me on down and I went on I got up when I walked up a little bit more higher than where my seat was. So now he said he said now he said he put he said he said when thou art being of any man to a wedding he said sit not down in the highest room least a more honorable man than thou be bid of him.

Verse nine. Go ahead. And he that ba thee and him and him come and say to thee, give this man place, and thou began with shame to take the lowest room. Go ahead. But when thou art bit, go and sit down in the lowest room, that when he that ba thee cometh, he may say unto thee, friend, go up higher, then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit and meet with thee.

Go ahead. For whosoever exaltth himself shall be abased. You better hear what it's saying now that's being heady and high minded and pride. For whosoever exaltth himself shall be abased. Go ahead and read.

And he that humbled himself shall be exalted. And that is the spirit of anger versus the spirit of humility. And I hope you got some understanding of Jesus right there. I thank y'all for your time. [laughter] Thank y'all.

So we going we going to call our beautiful elder to come up here and read the law. Yes sir. Exodus 20 verses 1-1 17. [clears throat] And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyselfves to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers, upon the children, unto the third and fourth generations of them that hate me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, but the Lord will not hold them guiltless to take his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work, but the Sabbath but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it thou shall not do any work. Thou nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man's servant, nor thy maid servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them of his, and restth the seventh day. Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallelujah.

Amen. Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. Thou shall not kill. Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not steal.

Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shall not cover thy neighbor's house. Thou shall not coveret thy neighbor's wife, nor his man's servant, nor his maidervant, nor his ax, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy name. All right, y'all. I really don't have too many announcements, but um let me get one of those.

We want everybody to know. Now, we got the feast days coming up here in just in just a couple of weeks now. Yes, sir. So, we want to let y'all know that you're going to have to take off that Friday on the 21st. That's going to be trumpets.

We only got two days we got to take off for. We got to take off one for for trumpets and also on the first day of tabernacles. Those services will be held on Friday. So, all of the rest of them should fall on Sunday and on the Sabbath. And we shouldn't have to take too many out.

So, we want to invite y'all if y'all want to come out and feast at this where we have everybody here. There's going to be food lined up and just come out and worship with us if y'all can now. So, uh we want to let y'all be aware of that. And really also that's really all I have outside of that. Just really everybody put in for the feast days so we can go ahead on with the regular announcements.

Yes. We ask that you watch over them, Lord. Keep a hand of protection about each and every one of us, my father. Lord, we pray for our sisters, our s our sister, mother, Linda. Lord, we ask that you watch over her, heal her, my father, and bring her back to us whole.

Lord, we pray for brother Joshua and his family. and that you continue to watch over them and bring them back to us. Hope Lord, we ask that you watch over each and every one of us standing here before you this day. That you cover us with your with your love that you cover us my father like you had us on the wings of an eagle. Lord, carry us on.
