In this Sabbath lesson from Israel Church of the Firstborn in Indianapolis, Brother Joshua teaches that through faith comes the fear of God, and through that fear comes obedience. The first problem, he says, is that people do not really know the living God. If they knew him they would fear him, and if they feared him they would obey him. So the lesson walks through the three steps in order: build your faith by reading who this God is, let that knowledge put his fear before your face, and out of that fear stay obedient unto death. Every passage is read in the King James Version.

1.Nobody Really Knows the Living God
The lesson opens with the title itself and the reason behind it. Brother Joshua says he watches Hebrew brothers out in the streets arguing and even cursing at people, and it convinced him to teach this. The root of it, he says, is that people do not know the God they claim to serve. He begins in Isaiah the fifty-third chapter, picking it up at the first verse.
Isaiah 53:1-9 KJV1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
"See, that's what Isaiah said. He said, who hath believed our report? Faith is belief. That's why it says through faith comes fear and obedience. Through your belief. And who's the arm of the Lord? That's Jesus. He ain't revealed to the world. Everybody walk around with a Roman death cross symbol on as a necklace. So everybody know Jesus died on the cross, but do you know who he is?"
"When the Lord came in the world on the mission to die for the sins of the people, he ain't come like no pretty boy. He wasn't nothing to be desired. He is despised and he was rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Nobody know who this God is. This is the living God right here. This is none other than Jesus. This who we serve. That's why I ask people, who really know the living God? And that's the saddest thing about the world, they don't know who he is."
2.My People Are Destroyed for Lack of Knowledge
Why do they not know him? Because the Bible has been taken off the table and nobody reads anymore. From Isaiah the first chapter, the Lord charges a nation that will not even consider him.
Isaiah 1:2-6 KJV2Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
4Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
5Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
6From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
"See, the book ain't on the table. Nobody really read the book. How you calling on Jesus and you don't even know who he is? The ox know of his own, but Israel don't know. When people do not consider, they don't even consider, because ain't nobody opening up the book and reading it to them. The whole head is sick and the whole heart is faint. And that's us as a nation. From the sole of the foot even unto the head, there is no soundness in it. We like a wound that can't even heal, cause you ain't even got your redeemer."
Then Hosea the fourth chapter names the exact problem: there is no knowledge of God in the land.
Hosea 4:1-6 KJV1Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
3Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
4Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.
5Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.
6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
"It ain't no knowledge in the land. Our people don't know nothing. There is no truth, no mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. How you going to call on Jesus? You don't even know him. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. See, that's why we messed up, y'all. He said because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me. And seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I'mma forget about your son, I'mma forget about your daughter. Cause you forgot about me. The Lord know how to get to you."
3.Faith Cometh by Hearing
To fix the lack of knowledge, you have to read who this God is. In Romans the tenth chapter, Paul says his heart's desire is that Israel be saved, but they have a zeal that is not according to knowledge. Then he lays out how faith actually comes.
Romans 10:13-15 KJV13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
"Everybody call on the name Jesus, but everybody not serving the correct way. I'm reading and you not, that's where we going wrong at. You have to read his word to establish your belief. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. That's why that name Jesus is powerful. But how then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And that's the problem, ain't nobody opening up the book, nobody's reading."
And what gives that faith life is the word itself. From Saint John the sixth chapter.
St. John 6:63 KJV63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
"It is the spirit that quickeneth to give life. The flesh don't profit nothing. See, this book is the words. He said the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. This is what's going to help you establish your faith. What's going to help you establish your belief is reading the book. The more you read and the more you study, the stronger your faith get."
He gives Ezekiel as the example. Before Ezekiel could go and speak to the people, the Lord told him to eat the roll, to fill himself with the word first.
Ezekiel 3:1-4 KJV1Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
2So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.
3And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.
4And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.
"He said, I want you to eat what thou findest. He talking about eat the book, eat the scriptures. That's what he telling Ezekiel to do. We got to eat the roll. Even if you just open your book up and read one scripture a day, eat the roll. In order for Ezekiel to go speak unto the people, he had to eat the roll first. He had to get his faith established. He had to learn about this guy first. You gonna tell them something, you don't know nothing."
4.Now Faith Is the Substance of Things Hoped For
Having shown where faith comes from, the lesson turns to what faith is. Hebrews the eleventh chapter defines it and then names the men who had it, ending with Noah, who was moved with fear.
Hebrews 11:1-7 KJV1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, of things not seen. Just off of you believing in him, that's a lot with God. That is a big move. But without faith it is impossible to please him. That's why it's always the first step, establish your faith. He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and how are you going to believe that he is? By reading about him. And by faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to save him and his house. His faith saved him and his household."
Then an example of how strong that belief has to be. In Saint Matthew the eighth chapter, a Gentile centurion comes to Jesus for his sick servant.
St. Matthew 8:8-13 KJV8The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
"He like, look, don't even try to come under my roof, I ain't even worthy enough for you to come over here. But speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. That's how strong your faith got to be in this Lord. When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said, I have not seen so great faith, no, not in Israel. So that man impressed Jesus. And as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee, and his servant was healed in that selfsame hour. He ain't know too much about nothing, but he believed."
And in Acts the sixteenth chapter, Paul and Silas are in prison at midnight singing praises when an earthquake shakes the doors loose. The keeper of the prison runs in trembling.
Acts 16:29-31 KJV29Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
"Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God, and all the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, and all the doors were open and everybody's bands were loose. And the keeper of the prison came trembling and said, sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. That's the first thing he told him, you gonna have to believe on this guy. He seen the prison doors open, he seen the bands loosed off of all the prisoners, and that was enough for him. He and his whole household got baptized."
He notes that this is the same thing his brother taught the week before on being saved, and points to Acts the fourth chapter, where about five thousand men heard the word and believed.
5.How Moses Grew in Faith
To show that faith is something a man grows into, the lesson follows Moses. When the Lord first met him at the burning bush, Moses was afraid.
Exodus 3:4-6 KJV4And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
5And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
6Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
"I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. Moses at this time, he wasn't close to the Lord like that. The Lord trying to send Moses to free his people out of the hand of Egypt, but Moses was a little shaky about it at first. He like, man, they ain't even gonna believe me. He said, I am not eloquent, I got a slow speech and a slow tongue, Lord, you might not want to use me. And he said, oh my Lord, send somebody else. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, go get your brother Aaron, cause I know he can talk well."
But that same shaky Moses did not stay that way. By Exodus the thirty-second chapter, he comes down from the mountain, finds the people worshipping the golden calf, and there is no hesitation in him.
Exodus 32:26-28 KJV26Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.
27And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.
28And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.
"So remember when Moses was telling the Lord, I'm not eloquent, I got a slow speech? That ain't the same Moses no more. Moses is not playing about the Lord no more. Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp and said, who is on the Lord's side? Let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him, and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. That ain't the same Moses that was keeping the flock of Jethro. His faith grew abundantly. And that's how ours gonna grow. The more we read and study this thing, we going to grow."
6.The Fear of the Lord Is the Beginning of Knowledge
Once your faith is established, the next step is fear. Anything you are truly afraid of, Brother Joshua says, you keep yourself away from. So if you fear the Lord, that fear keeps you from iniquity. Job the twenty-eighth chapter shows where that fear sits.
Job 28:23-28 KJV23God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.
24For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;
25To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.
26When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:
27Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.
28And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
"God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof. He lookth to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven. This is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He have to make weight for the wind, cause too much wind will blow a house over. And unto man he said, behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. Once you read about him, once you learn about him, you study him, now you got your faith established. Now it's time to establish some fear."
Proverbs the first chapter says it plainly.
Proverbs 1:7 KJV7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
"The fear of the Lord, that's the beginning of knowledge. When he put the fear in you, that's when the knowledge is there. But fools despise wisdom and instruction."
And the same chapter warns what happens to those who refuse that fear.
Proverbs 1:24-29 KJV24Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
"Because I have called and ye refused, I have stretched out my hand and no man regarded, I also will laugh at your calamity, I will mock when your fear cometh. When all these problems come upon you, then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer. They shall seek me early, but they shall not find me, cause I'm hiding my face from you. For they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord. Cause if y'all would have chose to fear me, y'all would have been obedient."
To show that the Lord deliberately puts his fear in his people, the lesson goes to Exodus the twentieth chapter, right after the commandments were given.
Exodus 20:18-20 KJV18And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
19And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
"All the people saw the thunder and the lightning and the noise of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, and they removed and stood a far off. They said unto Moses, speak thou with us, but let not God speak with us, lest we die. They were scared. And Moses said, fear not, for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. See, he want you to fear. He did this on purpose, he meant to do this."
And at the Red Sea, in Exodus the fourteenth chapter, the fear and the faith come together after Israel sees the Egyptians destroyed.
Exodus 14:30-31 KJV30Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.
31And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.
"The children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground, and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left. And the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea, there remained not so much as one of them. Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians. And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did, and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and his servant Moses. They feared the Lord, they believed the Lord, they feared Moses and they believed in Moses."
7.If Ye Be Willing and Obedient
The fear of the Lord is what keeps a man obedient. In Acts the sixth chapter, the fruit of it shows up in the priests.
Acts 6:7 KJV7And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
"Once you establish that fear, that's what causes you to keep your obedience. Now I want to stay obedient to this guy, I don't want to cross him. And the word of God increased, and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly, and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. That's what you want to do, you want to be obedient to this guy."
Isaiah the first chapter lays out the condition for the blessing.
Isaiah 1:16-19 KJV16Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
"Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings, cease to do evil, learn to do well. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. The Lord said, come on back to me, I'mma make it white as snow. And verse nineteen, if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. See, that's the thing, you got to be willing, you got to be obedient."
And the pattern for that obedience is Christ himself, in Philippians the second chapter.
Philippians 2:5-8 KJV5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
"Cause Jesus was obedient unto death. He was obedient unto death, and that's how we got to be, we got to be obedient until it's our last breath. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
The lesson closes in First Peter the first chapter, where obedience and holiness are tied together.
1 Peter 1:13-16 KJV13Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
"Gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you. And that's what hope is, hope is another form of belief. We hoping to the end. As obedient children, be ye holy in all manner of conversation, just like how he called you to be holy. Because it is written, be ye holy, for I am holy."
Closing Word
"Be ye holy, for I am holy. And that is through faith comes fear and obedience."
Brother Joshua closed the way he opened, on the three steps in order. First you build your faith by reading who the living God really is. That knowledge teaches you to fear him. And out of that fear you stay obedient, willing and holy, all the way to the end, just as Christ was obedient unto death.

And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. A lot of people got to know this dayless made and the Lord bless that day from all his work which God created and made. And we can actually look out there and see the work of the Lord.
We can see how nature is moving. We can see everything. We can see the things that man [clears throat] don't have no control of, but it was created by God. That's Let's go to revelations. Reel Go ahead. He that is unjust, let him be unjust. And he was, let him be fil. And he that is righteous, let him still. And he that is holy, let let him be holy still.

And we love you and happy Sabbath to you as well. Yes, sir. And to the brothers and the sisters in the brotherhood and the sister in the sisterhood group, we want to say happy Sabbath to you as well. The title to today's lesson is through faith comes fear and obedience. Through faith come fear and obedience. I had did a lesson I had did this lesson probably a couple years ago, but I kind of went through and we worked it a little bit. Yes.
But uh the Lord had it on my mind to do this lesson because my biggest thing is I've been I've been rolling through and I've been seeing our Hebrew brothers, especially the brothers in IYC or the brothers that's uh what's the other brothers? The ISUPK brothers. the brothers with the Ninja Turtle suits on and the guys that be out there and they be arguing, you know, they might they might they might hit people with a few
cuss words. But it it dawned on me to do this lesson because it says through faith comes fear and obedience. Because the first thing is this, people don't really know the living God, right? They really do not know him. Because if you did know him, our next thing is this. If you knew him, scared of him. And if you're not scared of him, you not be obedient to him.
Because as I look around, I see what's going on. Like, ain't no way. Ain't no way you reading about the same God I'm reading about. Ain't no way you fear the same God I fear. And the way you acting out here towards the people. Yes, sir. We supposed to be the priest. It's our job to bring all of the sons of Adam back them away. these brothers is running them away. So I decided to put this lesson together.
It says through faith comes fear and obedience obedience. Because this is the thing, do you do you have faith in God? And if you do have faith in God, what God fear that God? And if you do fear him, do you fear him to be obedient unto death to that person, to that God that you serve? Yeah. So without further ado, we going to get into the lesson. We going to break it all down. We going to talk about faith.
We going to talk about the fear. And we going to talk about being obedient to none other than the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Yes. So without further ado, let's start this off in Isaiah the 53rd chapter. Cuz don't nobody really know who the living God really is? Cuz as I look around and see what's going on, I'm like, "No, y'all can't know who he is." You know how Sally putting her dress on. She's going to She about to put her dress on.
She got her heels on. She's ready for Sunday church. She's ready. So my thing is, do our people really know who God really is? It's a scary thing. Isaiah 53. We going to pick Isaiah 53 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Isaiah 53 and we going to pick it up at first verse one. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. Who have believed our report?
See, that's what Isaiah said. He said, "Who have believed our report?" Faith is belief. That's why it says through faith comes fear and obedience. Through faith through your belief. That's why Isaiah said, "Who has believed our report?" Who going to believe it? Go ahead. Israel, to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? And who's the arm of the Lord? That's Jesus. He may who Jesus revealed to cuz you cuz as you as I'm looking around, he ain't revealed to the world.
He ain't revealed to the world. Cuz if he will, but everybody know who he is. Cuz everybody walk around with a Roman death cross symbol on the on only on as as as a necklace. So everybody know, everybody know Jesus died on the cross, but do you know who he is? Right. He said, "Who have believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?" Go ahead. Israel.
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant. Go ahead. And as a root out of a dry ground, go ahead. He have no form noriness. And when we shall see him, there is no that we desire him. See, when the Lord came the world to him the mission to die for the sins of the people, he ain't come like no pretty boy. So all the girls wasn't going to be running up on him. He wasn't nothing to be desired. Right. Go ahead. Israel.
Three. He is despised and rejected of men. He is despised and he was rejected of men. Go ahead. A man of sorrow. Uhhuh. And acquainted with grief. See, everybody always saying Jesus Jesus evil. And I'm really kind of laying back on what ODA did last week. Everybody call on the name. But do you really know who he is? Do you know he was rejected and despised of men? He go acquainted with he was acquainted with greed. Go ahead. As it were our face from him.
Uhhuh. He was despised and we esteemed him not. Despised and we esteemed him not. Go ahead. Surely he have borne our carried our sorrow. Nobody know who this God is. They don't know this. This the living God right here. This is none other than Jesus. This who we serve. Yes, sir. That's why I ask people, who really know the living God? Who we know him? Have borne our grief. He have carried our roles. Even the sorrow, even the sorrows of some people that wasn't going to serve him. That's right. Go ahead. Israel.
Yes, we did esteem him stricken. Smitten of God. He was smitten of God and was Go ahead. But he was for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. He was bruised for our iniquities. Go ahead. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. Go ahead. And with his stripes, we are healed. And that's what healed us. That's we run the race again. Yes, sir. Because at first, it don't matter how much you ran, you wasn't going to get nowhere.
But now we can run to the finish line again. And that finish line is that crown of salvation. Yes, sir. We can run that. We can run that. We all have went astray. That's why we got mercy. We got grace when it come to anybody that's trying to come in this thing. Anybody that's trying to learn this thing, walk in this thing. You got to be patient because we all like sheep. We all went astray. Amen.
Don't sit up here and act like you ain't going straight, like you ain't got no flaws. We all like sheep have gone astray. Go ahead, Israel. We have turned everyone to his own way. Everybody turn they had it going on at a point in time in their life. Yes sir. Everybody thought the decision they was making was the right decisions. Yes sir. Have gone astray. We have turned everyone his oppressed. Go ahead.
He was afflicted by the people he created. Go ahead. Israel that he opened on his mouth. Go ahead. He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter. You know when you taking that animal to the slaughter, he can't tell you no. That's how Jesus was when came to death. He don't slaughter. The lamb don't know he dead until you put until you get the B on. He was like lamb slaughter. Go ahead, Israel.
And as a sheep before her shears is done. Go ahead. So he opened up his mouth. He ain't open up his mouth. Go ahead. Israel. He was taken from prison. Uhhuh. And from judgment. Go ahead. And who shall declare his generation? December 25th. That's a lie. Who shall declare his generation? He wasn't born December the 25th. No sir. All the children were killed that were two years two years and younger. That was around the time Jesus was alive cuz they was looking for Jesus.
So his old generation really got killed. But go ahead, Israel. For he was cut off from all from out of the land of the living. Go ahead. For the transgression of my people was he gohead. He made his grave with the wicked. He made his grave with the wicked and with the rich in his death. And with the rich in his death. Go ahead. Because he has done nobody.
He did nothing wrong. That's what people fail to realize. the living God that we serve. He didn't do nothing wrong. No, sir. Go ahead. Israel. Neither was any deceit in his mouth. And neither any deceit in his mouth. Do y'all know who this is? This is the living God. Yes, sir. Nobody really know him. And that's the saddest thing about the world. Teach, brother. They don't know who he is. Let's go to Isaiah 1. Let's go to Isaiah 1. And the reason why they don't know who he is,
why? Cuz the Bible was taken off the table. Don't nobody read no more. All I got to do is tell you how I feel and that's it. Don't nobody want to read this book no more. Isaiah the first chapter we going to pick it up at verse one. Nobody got a clue on who the real God is. 99 98% who he is. Right. They call on Jesus. They probably got swine in they freezer. They don't really call on. They don't know who he really is.
But we gonna show you who he is today. Isaiah 1. And we gonna pick it up at verse one. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read [clears throat] the vision of Isaiah the son of Amar. Go ahead. Which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of [clears throat] Judah. Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth, for the Lord has spoken. You said, "I have spoken." Go ahead.
I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against me. See, the book ain't on the table. Nobody really read the book. Wait till tomorrow. You see how fat it is at them churches, but they not reading no book. That's right. They not really telling you nothing. They making you feel good. Playing the tambourine and the drums all in the background and just sending you on out the door, but you leaving with nothing.
If you go to the store, you leave with groceries. Yes. If you go to work, you clock in, you clock back out, you get paid. Yes. Why go to church and you don't learn nothing? How you going to church and you ain't learning nothing? How you calling on Jesus and you don't even know who he is? That behooves me. Lord Jesus, are you Who is he? The next time I hear somebody say that, I'm gonna say, "Who is he? Do
you know him?" Right. Go ahead. Israel three. The ox know of his own. See, the ox know of his own sir. Go ahead, Israel. He as his master's crib. And as he know where his master's crib is, but what about Israel? Go ahead, Israel. But Israel doeth not know. But Israel don't know. Go ahead, Israel. When people do not consider, they don't. That's And that's the thing.
They don't even consider because ain't nobody opening up the book and reading it to them. That's right. You making them feel good. Keep your hope. Hope in what you tell them to keep the faith. Faith in what? He said, "My people did not consider." Go ahead, Israel. All sinful nations. A sinful nation. Go ahead. A people laden with iniquity. Go ahead. A seed of evildoers. Uhhuh. Children that are corruptors. They have forsaken the Lord. They have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger. They are gone away back.
They are gone away back. You got problems in your life. You don't know how to turn to the living God. So you go more into the trouble cuz you don't know. You don't know. Go ahead, Israel. Why should ye be stricken anymore? Uhhuh. Ye will revolt more and more. Go ahead. The whole head is sick and the whole heart faint. And that's us as a nation. The whole head is sick and the whole heart is faint. Verse six, what he saying? Go ahead, Israel.
From the soul of the foot even unto the head, there is no soundness in it. See us as a nation, man, we done. We like a sword that that can't even heal us. You like a broken wound that ain't even getting that ain't that ain't even healing. That's what the Lord compared this nation to. Go ahead, Israel. But wounds and bruises. Uhhuh. And and petrifying swords. That's who we are. Go ahead. They have not been clothed. They have not been closed. Go ahead.
Neither bound up. Neither bound up. Go ahead. Neither multip cuz you ain't got the healer on your side. You ain't got the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. No, sir. So you like a wound that can't even heal cuz you ain't even got your redeemer. Let's go a little to Israel. Let's go to Hosea the 4th chapter. Let's go to Hosea 4. They done took the Bible off. That's
why they That's why our people don't have no knowledge. That's right. We don't have no knowledge. We don't know what's going on. They don't know what's going on. They don't know nothing about the abomination of desation. They don't know the kings and the third. They don't know about the war of Armageddon. They don't know come back and he kill so much that the horse is brought. They don't know that. Peace, brother. They don't know. Let's go to Hosea.
[clears throat] Hosea Hosea 4 and we going to pick it up at verse one. Hosea 4 and we going to pick it up at verse one. It ain't no knowledge in the land. Our [snorts] people don't know nothing. Go ahead, Israel. Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel. For the Lord have a controversy with the inhabitants of the land. Go ahead. Because there is no truth. See, I just said that there is no truth. Go ahead.
No mercy. No mercy. What else? Nor knowledge of God in the land. How you going to call on Jesus? You don't know him. Jesus, you don't even know him. Right. Know who he is. Yes, sir. Go ahead, beloved. By swearing and lying and killing and stealing and committing adultery and break out and blood touches blood. That's all they know. That's That's all they know. And when I'm in the streets, that's all we knew. That's all we knew.
Knew how to do blood. We'll lie to you. We'll go. We'll creep in your window. Take your TV out of there. That's what we did. He said by swearing and lying and killing and stealing and committing adultery, they break out and blood touch and blood. We love that. Who you got a problem with? Let's go get him. Let's go get him. That's how we were. Go ahead.
Israel three. Shall the land mourn? Shall the land mourn? Go ahead. And everyone that dwelleth therein shall Go ahead. With the beast of the and with the bows of heaven. Go ahead. Yay. The fishes of the sea also shall be taken away. I said, "Look, man. Hey, I'm coming for everybody." Everybody. Ain't nobody getting spirited when I come back. No, sir. Go ahead, Israel. Lord, yet let no man strive Uhhuh. nor reprove another. Go ahead.
For thy people are as they that strive with the priest. It's always Israel that kick against the priests. He said, "Your nation like the people that strive with the priests, the people that's supposed to be teaching things, kicking, that's us as a nation. We don't want to hear what you talking about." I wish you would tell us we got to stop eating crab meat. I wish you would.
That's how we are as a people, right? Who can't have no catfish? I've been eating catfish my whole life. That's how we are. We stiff neck, hardhead. I wish you would come at us about something and and we'll put our hands on you quick. Let the argument go too left. We'll be out there in the yard getting our backs dirty cuz that's how our people are. Go ahead, Israel.
Shalt thou fall in the That's why we fall in the day. That's why we fall in the day. And also shall fall with thee in the night. Go ahead. And I will destroy the money. I'm going to destroy thyroy youration. I'mma destroy your inhabitants. Go ahead, Israel. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. See, that's why we messed up, y'all. That's why we messed up. Yes, sir.
I feel bad for our Sally. Cuz our Sally, she she gonna put her shoes on, she going to church on that Sunday. If she gonna have her church hat, she gonna have her dress. She gonna go in there look nice. But she ain't But she got lack of knowledge. Lack of knowledge. They don't understand who the real God is and they get sad. Yes, sir. He said that my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Go ahead, Israel. Because thou hast rejected knowledge.
He said because thou has rejected knowledge. They said all you got to do is put it in the book. The black man ain't going to read. Just put it in a book. He said, because thou has rejected knowledge, what else? Go ahead, Israel. I will also reject thee. I'm going to reject thee. Go ahead. that thou shalt be no priest to me. You ain't no priest unto me. The Lord had to disclaim us.
Go ahead, Israel. Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God. Go ahead. I will also be forget thy children. Look, you forgot about me. I'mma forget about your son. I'mma forget about your daughter. You said she got what going on? I forgot about her cuz you forgot about me. The Lord know how to get to you. That's why we fear him because we know how he coming. Yes, sir.
That's why it's important that we teach our brothers and sisters to learn about this guy. Yes, sir. Because it ain't no knowledge. Look, is that it? Go ahead, Israel. As they were increased, so they sinned against me. And that's the thing. The more you give Israel, the more they feel like they don't need you no more. Don't Have you ever heard don't bite the hand that feeds you? We the number one nation that do it.
He said, "As they as they were increased, so they sinned against me." Go ahead, Israel. Therefore will I change their glory into shame. Since y'all want to play with me, guess what? I'mma turn that glory. I'mma turn it all into shame. That's what I'mma do. Y'all, let's go a little further. Let's go to Romans the 10th chapter. Let's go to Romans 10. He said, "Through faith comes fear and obedience." So, in order for you to establish your faith, you got to read who this man is.
You got to read about this guy, cuz he ain't no joke. Let's go to Romans 10. Romans 10. Everybody call on the name Jesus, but everybody not serving the correct way. Amen, brother. You got some people doing their own thing, but we but we but we but we saying the same name. We both saying Jesus. So where we going wrong at? I'm reading and you not. That's where we going wrong.
That's where we going wrong at. You have to read his word to establish your belief. Yes, sir. Romans 10. And we going to pick it up at verse one. Romans 10 and one. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. Brethren, may hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel in that they might be saved. Man, I got brothers right now on the block that I love with all my heart and with all my soul. Love them to death. Yes.
And my desire is that they get saved. Is that they change because it's a sad thing. Go ahead. Israel two, for I bear in record that they have a zeal of God. Uhhuh. But not according to. You know, some people have that zeal in them. They they spiritual. They real spiritual, but they be but they it don't be according to knowledge. Some people got that zeal in them. Yes.
They study, but they studying a whole bunch of stuff that don't matter. Even the Sunday church, wait till tomorrow. I have never seen black people come together so much. But like they do in a church. Black people come together at a Sunday church for real. Wait till tomorrow. You will see. just ride down the street. I don't care what. Matter of fact, go to the biggest church you ever seen and watch how and watch how many black people we in there. They got a zeal for the world. They got the
zeal, but it's not according to knowledge. Go ahead. Israel three. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness. Go ahead. Have not sub submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. They ain't submitted unto the righteousness of God because they haven't read the book. You got to open up the book to do that. Yes, sir. Go ahead. Israel. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.
To everyone that believeth. Now, skip on down to verse 13 because this what we're here for. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. That's why that name Jesus is powerful. It's power in the name. It's power in that name. He said, "Whoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Whoever it is is it don't matter.
Amen, brother. Go ahead. Israel 14. How then shall they call on him and whom they have not believed? And that's the good question. How you going to call on him and you don't even believe it? You don't even know it. Go ahead, Israel. And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? Come on now. And how shall they hear without a preacher? And that's the problem. Ain't nobody opening up the book. Nobody's reading.
Consuming in the mind is the biggest way to consume. Through the mind. Yes sir. Through the mind. This this how much you eat the food for thoughts. Yes sir. Go ahead. Israel 15. And how shall they preach except they be sent? How shall they preach except they be sent? Go ahead. As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things.
And bring glad tidings of good things. See, we got to read [clears throat] the book. Amen. They said, "How can how can they call on him on who they have not believed?" How can they do it? Cuz we ain't calling on the same Jesus. We got to make sure we calling on the same Jesus. Yes, sir. Is that it? Israel, that's it, brother. Let's go a little further. Let's go to St. John 6. Let's go to St. John the 6th chapter.
Let's go to St. John 6. You said, "How y'all going to know without a preacher?" Cuz what the preacher going to do, the preacher going to open up the book and the preacher going to read the words and we going to tell you it's the words that's give you life. Yes, sir. That's what that's what's going to get you there. St. John 6 and we going to read verse 63. St. John 6 and 63. When you get there, Israel, yes.
Go ahead and read. It is the spirit that quickenth. It is the spirit that quickenth to give life. The spirit that quickenth. Go ahead. The flesh profitth nothing. The flesh don't profit nothing. Go ahead. The words that I speak unto you. See, it's this book is the words. He said the words that I speak unto you. Go ahead. They are spiritu and they are lies. See, this is how you get your This is what's going to help you establish your faith. Yes.
What's going to help you establish your belief is reading the book. This is what's going to help you get there. You got people that's new. You got people that's coming in that's want to learn about this. And the more they read and the more they read and the more they study, the stronger their faith get. Yes, sir. The stronger they believe get. The stronger they like, "Oh, I got hope in this. I'm ride with this. But it starts with his words. Amen.
Understanding his word. Let's go a little further. We're going to give you an example. Let's go to Ezekiel 3 chapter. Let's go to Ezekiel 3. Let's give you an example. See, the more you deal with this, the more you deal with this book, the more you study this book, the more you read this book. Every day I'm listening to a lesson at work. Every day I'm listening to a lesson. Every day I take two hours out for the Lord every day. Every day.
Amen. And that's not just And the Sabbath is automatically is I'm talking about during the week because you got to stay in the spirit. You got to stay guarded at all times. Yes, sir. So, I'm always listening to a lesson. Always. It's just playing in my head phone while I'm working because it's just because I want the scripture just going through my mind. I want I want the preacher just going through my mind.
That's how I roll. That's how I roll. Amen, brother. Ezekiel 3. And I'mma tell you why. And I'mma tell you why. Because the Lord because the first thing the Lord want to establish with you is your faith. You have to establish your belief first. You have to believe on this guy. Yes, sir. And the way you believe on this guy, you got to read about him. You can't just believe just Yeah. You know what I believe? I don't even know you, but I believe. It don't work like that. No. You got to read about him.
Understand how he moving the dos and the don'ts. Ezekiel 3, we gonna pick it up in verse one. You get there, Israel? Go ahead and read. Moreover, he said unto me, son of man, eat that thou findest. He said, I want you to eat what you findest. Go ahead. Eat this robe. Eat this robe. Go ahead. And speaking to the house of Israel in that row, he talking about eat the book. Eat the scriptures. Yes, sir.
Study. That's what he telling Ezekiel to do. I want you to g yourself up. Go ahead, Israel. So, open my mouth. And I open my mouth. Go ahead. And he caused me to eat that road. And he caused me to eat that roll. That's what we need to do. We got to eat the road. Amen. It ain't even if you just open your book up and read one scripture a day. Eat the roll. Yes, sir. Go ahead, Israel.
And he said unto me, son of man, cause thy belly to eat. Cause thy belly to eat. Go ahead. And fill thy boughs with this robe that I give thee. See, that's what he want us to do. He want he want us to be filled with the knowledge of him. He said, "Fill ye fill thy bowels with the roll that I give thee." Go ahead. Then did I eat it? Then did I eat it? Go ahead.
And it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness. And it was in [clears throat] my mouth as honey for sweetness. Once you start to read this Bible with some understanding, it become the best book in the world. Amen, brother. It's the best book in the world. Yes, sir. The best authors in the world. Go ahead, Israel. And he said unto me, "Son of man, go get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto
them." See, in order for Ezekiel to go speak unto the people, he had to eat the road first. Yes, sir. He had to get his faith established. He had to come He he had to learn about this guy first. You gonna tell them something, you don't know nothing. That's why he said, "Eat eat what thou findest. Eat the road." Now I'm about to Now I want you to go talk to the house of Israel. Go ahead, Israel.
Five. For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech. Go ahead. And of hard language. Uhhuh. But to the house of Israel, not to many people of a strange speech and of a hard language whose words thou canst not understand. Go ahead. Surely had I sent thee to them. If I would have sent you to them Gentiles, go ahead. They would have hearkened unto thee.
If I would have sent you to anybody else, they would have did it. Yes, sir. They would they would have been on track. Any other nation would have been on track. But what about Israel? Verse seven, go ahead. But the house of Israel, oh Lord, go ahead. Will not hearken unto thee. They will not hearken unto thee. Why? Go ahead. For they will not hearken unto me. Go ahead.
For all the house of Israel are imputed and hardhearted. They are imputed and they are hardhearted. Is that it? Just one more. One moment. Go ahead. Israel. Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces and thy forehead strong against their forehead. See, the Lord had to prepare him. And that's what he have to do with anybody that's teaching the gospel. Eat the road because when you go out there to the people, you got to be able to have a message for them.
And it got to be what thus said the Lord. So in order for us to do that, we got to build our faith. We got to establish our knowledge in the word. Yes, sir. First. Yes. Is that it? That's it. Now, let's go to Hebrews 11 chapter. Through faith comes fear and obedience. Let's see what faith is. Let's go deal with faith. Let's go to Hebrews 11. Let's go deal with faith.
We all standing here right now is we got Yes, sir. That's why we come. That's why we keep the Sabbath day. Yes, sir. That holy That's why we doing it because we just want to get up. Uh, so I got I got to go over here to No, we doing it because we we got faith. Yes, sir. Hebrews 11. Hebrews 11. We'll pick it up at verse one.
Hebrews 11. We'll pick it up at verse one because the title says through faith comes fear and obedience. So we we deal with faith. Faith is when you get there. Israel. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for. Uhhuh. Of things not seen. Go ahead. For by it elders obtain a good report through faith. We understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God.
See, we believe that. And that's through faith. Yes. Through faith. We believe that. Go ahead, Israel. So that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Go ahead. By faith, Abel offered unto God a more essent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous. God testified of his goodness. And by it, he being dead yet speaking. Being dead yet speaking because you know, hey, I'mma tell you, Abel going to be in the Abel going to be in the first resurrection. Yes, sir. Better believe it.
Abel's going to be in the first resurrection. You better believe. No doubt. Amen. Go ahead. By faith, Enoch was translated that he should not see death. He ain't going to see death for what? Go ahead. And was not found because God had translated him for before his translation. He had this testimony that he pleased God. A lot of people don't understand just off of you believing in him. That's a lot with God. Yes, sir.
That is a lot with God. You having faith in him. You believing in him. That's a lot with the Lord. Amen. He looking at that. That is a big move. You believe in me. That's why that's why these guys stand out. You got Abel. You got Enoch. These guys don't stand out because they had faith in the living God. Yes. Go ahead. Israel six. But without faith, it is impossible to please him. That's why it's always the first step.
The It's always the first step. Establish your faith. Yes. Make sure your make sure your belief your belief in God is grounded. Be grounded in your belief. Be grounded in your faith. Amen. Go ahead, Israel. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is. Don't come off if you ain't believing on me. He that cometh to God, you got to believe that he is. Amen.
And how are you going to believe that he is? By reading about him. You got to learn about it. Go ahead. Israel. It is impossible to please him. Uhhuh. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is that he is. Go ahead. And that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Because you got to seek him. He said knock and the door shall be open unto you. He didn't say just stand there and I'mma open the door. Right.
He said knock and the door shall be open. So you got to put your work in. Yes, sir. Go ahead. Israel by faith. Noah being warned of God, things not seen as yet moved with fear, Uhhuh. prepared an ark to save him of his house. Noah was out there building that ark, man. That Noah, he was crazy. What is wrong with this man? He telling everybody a flood coming, a flood going to come. Like, this man is crazy, but he had faith.
He believed in God. Yes. Go ahead, Israel. by the which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. His faith got him and his household saved. Yes, sir. The faith of the faith was the faith Noah had saved him and his household. Yes, sir. Saved him and his household. Amen, brother. Go ahead. Israel. Hey, by faith Abraham, that's why Abraham is called the father of the faithful. Yes.
That's why he's the father of the faithful. So that's why it don't matter what nationality you is. You believe on the living God and you going to walk in these law, statutes, and commandment, you will get a crown of life. I don't care if you purple. I don't care if you're green. If you breathe in the breath of life and you and you keep the covenant and you get

See, he was going out there. He ain't know what was going to go on. Right. He left his fathers. He He left his father's inheritance and he and he went did exactly what the Lord told him. Yes, sir.
He left the land of Nahor. Go ahead, Israel. By faith, he shall join in the land of promise. He shall join in the land of promise. Go ahead. as in a strange country because he was in a strange he was in a strange country cuz that wasn't his that wasn't his that wasn't his land. Go ahead. Israel dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob the hes with him of the same promise.
So that's what you got to do. You got to establish your faith with the Lord first. Amen. Establish read this book because the more you read, the more you will believe. The more you'll learn like that is right. the more you'll get your understanding. Let's go to St. Matthew the 8th chapter. Amen, brother. Let's go to St. Matthew 8. St. Matthew 8. We going to give we I'm going to show you an example. Let's go to St. Matthew the 8th chapter.
St. Matthew 8 and we'll pick it up at verse 5. St. Matthew say Matthew 8 and we going to pick it up at verse 5. This how your faith got to be. This how your belief got to be. Will you get there Israel? Yes. Go ahead and read. And when Jesus was entered into Capernium, there came unto him a centurion beseeching him and saying, Lord, my servant alive at home sick of the puly grievously tormented.
And Jesus said unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou should come under my roof. He's like, look, look, look, don't even try to come under my roof. I ain't even worthy enough for you to even come over here. He kept it real with him. Go ahead, Israel. But speak the word only and my servant shall be healed.
See, this a gentile. He like, but just go ahead and speak the word. I already know what's going to happen. I know it's going to happen. Yes sir. That's how strong your faith got to be in this Lord. He said, "Speak the word only and I know my servant going to be healed." What the what? What? Read the verse. Go ahead. Nine. For I am a man under authority having soldiers unto me. And [clears throat] I say to this man, "Go."
And he goeth, and to another, "Come." And he cometh and to my servant, "Do this." And he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to and said to them that follow, "Verily I say unto you, I have not seen so great of faith. No, not in Israel." So, man, that man impressed Jesus. He like, "Man, I ain't seen no like this." And that's what's real pleasing to God. Your faith, how much do you believe in me?
that pleasing to the Lord. Yes sir. Israel 11 you many come from the east and west gonna come to east. Go ahead and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. They going to sit down in the kingdom of heaven. But what but what's going to happen with the children? Go ahead. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out in the out of darkness.
See that's talking about us. The children of the kingdom is Israel. Yes sir. They shall be cast out in out of darkness. Go ahead. There shall be weeping and nashing of We already know what that we know what that is. Go ahead. And Jesus said unto the centurion, he said unto the centurion, go ahead. Go thy way. Go thy way. Go ahead. And as thou hast believed, see that's what he did. He believed. Yes, he did.
He said, go thy way. And as thou hast believed, what did he say to him? So be it done unto thee. So be it done unto thee. Go ahead. And his servant was healed in that selfsame hour. He ain't he ain't know too much. He ain't know too much about nothing, but he believed. He believed. Yes. Yes. He probably ain't know what everybody else knew, but he had faith. And he believed. Amen.
I know you can heal. I know you can heal my servant. Yes. Let's go a little further. Let's go to Acts the 16th chapter. Let's go to Acts 16. Let's go to Acts the 16th chapter. Acts 16. Acts 16 and we going to pick it up at verse 25. Acts 16 and we going to pick it up at verse 25. We're going to go deal with Paul when Paul was Paul was in prison. We want to show you something. We're going to point something out in this story. Acts 16 and we'll pick it up at verse 25.
18 to 25. You get that Israel? Yes. Go ahead and read. And at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them. Now, hey, hey, this remind me, boy, being locked up, boy, you'll hear so many songs. Boy, everybody want to sing and jump. But what Paul and them did, they was singing praises unto God. They were singing praise unto God. And all the prisoners heard them. Go ahead. Israel 26. And suddenly there was a great earthquake.
Uhhuh. So that the foundations of the prison were shaken and immediately all the doors were open and everyone's bands were loose. Everyone bands was loose. So So they was they was praising the Lord so much it sound like a earthquake came through there. Unlocked all the doors. Everybody band was loose. It was crazy. Go ahead. Israel 27. And the keeper of the prison awakening out of his sleep and seen the prison doors open. He threw out his
sword and would have killed himself supposing that the prisoners had fled. You know, he he's sleeping on the job. So he [laughter] he he he he mad at himself like I got to let him get away. I'm about and he almost took himself out. But 28 go ahead. But Paul cried with the loud voice. Paul cried with the loud voice saying, "Go ahead. Do no harm." Uhhuh. For we are all here.
We ain't move yet, father. We still right here. Calm down. They telling me, "Come on down. Go ahead, Israel." Amen. 29 Then he called for a light and sprang in and came trembling and fell down before Paul and Silas and brought them out and said, "Sir, what must I do to be saved?" "What must I do to be saved?" He He sat there. He seen what they did. Yes.
He seen the prison doors open. He seen the bands loosed off of all the prisoners. That was enough for him. Amen. I see the thunder. That's all I need to see. I don't need to see nothing else. So good. I'm good. I don't need you to come and show you. I don't need you to pop up on me with no angel or nothing. I see the thunder. I see the rain, the lightning.
That's good enough for me. That's good enough for me. I don't need nothing else. Go ahead, Israel. 31. And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." Uhhuh. And thou shalt be saved and thy house. I threw that in there for my brother over there. He just did a lesson on being saved. He said, "And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." That's what we got to do.
That's why he asked he asked he probably man he said sir what must I do to be saved and the first thing he told him you gonna have to believe yes you got to believe on this guy yes sir and you will be saved go ahead Israel too and they spake unto him the word of the Lord and to all that were in his house see that's what they speak to you they spoke to him the word of the Lord not
how they felt they spoke to him the word of the Lord go ahead Israel And he took in the same hour of the night and washed his stripes and was baptized. He and all his straight way. And he he believed and all his whole household got baptized. Yes, sir. And they were serving the Lord. Is that it? One more. Go ahead. Israel. And when he had brought them into his house, he set me before them and rejoiced believing in God with all his house.
Man, they believed. Amen. soon as soon as he see it only took him a little bit to understand and from that point on he was believing from that point on. Yes, sir. Let's go deal with Moses. Let's go to Exodus the third chapter. Let's go deal with one of one of my favorites in the Bible. Let's go deal with Moses. Let's go to Exodus 3 cuz we want to show you how Moses faith.
How Moses how Moses grew in faith. When the Lord first came to Moses, the Lord was Moses was like, "Hey, hey, man. Hey, go find something. Go get somebody else to do the job. I ain't the one." But then I'm going show you how Moses faith grew. And Moses, man, Moses gonna be Moses. The Lord called Moses friend. Yes. Moses was a friend to the Lord. Moses was up there in the in the mountain with the Lord 40 days and 40 nights dwelling with him. Yes.
Exodus the third chapter and we going to pick it up at verse one. Exodus 3 and 1. When you get there, Israel, go ahead and read. Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the backside of the desert and came to the mountain of God into Horab. That's why we know just off of this scripture right here, we know
that mount that we know that Mount Horab is in is is in uh is in Midian. We know that. Go ahead. Israel two. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. Uhhuh. And he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight while the bush is not burnt." Have you ever looked at something like, "What is going on over there?" You look off like, "Let me let me make sure I I
ain't seeing what I'm what I think I'm seeing." And you look back over there, that's what it is. Go ahead, Israel. Boy, and when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses." And he said, "Here am I." That's what he said. He said, "Here am I." Go ahead. And he said, "Jaw not nigh
hither. Put off thy shoes from off thy feet. For the place where on thou standest is holy ground." So he told him, he said, "Moses, take off them shoes, man. You standing on holy ground right now." Yes. Take them shoes off. Go ahead, Israel. Six. Moreover, he said, "I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." See, that's the God we serve right now.
Amen. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Go ahead, Israel. And Moses hid his face for he was afraid to look upon God. See, that's what that people got to understand. That was spiritual. He hid his face. He was afraid to look upon God because he was he was he was of sin right now. Yes, sir. He wasn't You You got to think around it right here. And Moses at this time, he wasn't close to the Lord like that. He
wasn't close. So, he said he said uh what verse was that? That was verse six. He said he hid his face because he was afraid to look upon God. Yes. But we gonna show you later on he wasn't afraid to look at it no more. Go ahead. Israel. Seven. And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt. Uhhuh. And have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters. For I know their sorrow. Go ahead.
And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians. Go ahead. to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large and a large unto a land flowing with milk and honey. Go ahead. Unto the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the and the Parizzites and the Heivites and the Jebusites. Go ahead.
Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me. You got to think, man, children of Israel were getting oppressed over there with Pharaoh. They were doing us bad. And and and you got to think your sins can reach up to heaven. The things that the Egyptians did, the Lord started to notice it. And the cry of Israel, he said, "It came unto me." Go ahead, Israel. And I have also seen the oppression.
Where would the Egyptians oppress them? He like, I see what them Egyptians over there doing to y'all, and I'm coming to save y'all. Yes, sir. Like, he gonna come and get us again. He going to come and do it again. Go ahead, Israel. 10. Come now, therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh. Uh, that thou mayest bring forth my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.
So, now we got to see how Moses trying to play it because the Lord trying to send Pharaoh, I mean, the Lord trying to send Moses to free his people out of the out of the hand of Egypt. Amen. But Moses was a little shaky about it at first. Go ahead. And Moses said unto God, "Who am I going to Pharaoh?" What made you go that I should go say to Pharaoh, Israel, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? Go ahead.
And he said, "Certainly I will be with thee, and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee, when thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt. Ye shall serve God upon this mountain." Look, you going to serve me right up on this mountain. Go ahead, Israel. And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, the God of your
fathers have sent me unto you, and say to me, what is his name? What shall I say unto them? He basically saying, man, when they ask me what your name is, what you want me to tell? What he say? Israel. 14 And God said unto Moses, I am that I am. Go ahead. And he said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel. He said, that's what I want you to say unto the children of Israel. Yes. So the Lord got a mission for Moses. Now, let's see how this mission goes.
We're going to go to Exodus the 4th chapter. And we going to Yeah. Finish that up. I am have I am have sent me unto you. He said, I want you to tell I am have sent me unto you. Yes, sir. So he presented to him a mission. I want you to go ahead on this mission for me. And he said it's going to be a token between me and you. Yes, sir.
I got you. But we're going to go to Exodus 4 and we going to see how Moses uh dealt with it. Exodus 4 and we going to pick it up everyone. When you get there, go ahead, Israel. And Moses actually said, "But behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice, for they will say, the Lord have not appeared unto thee." So you got to think Moses trying to slip his way on out of it. He like, "Man, they ain't even gonna believe me." Go ahead, Israel.
The Lord said unto him, "What is that in thine hand?" And he said, "A rod." And he said, "Cast it on the ground." And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses fled before it. So, so what the Lord did, the Lord had to pull out a few tools for him like, "Man, let me get let me show this man, let me show this man who I am." Yes.
Go ahead, Israel. forth. And the Lord said unto Moses, "Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail." And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand, and it be turned back into a rod that was in his hand. So, he's showing him a few things. Let me let me show you. He really showing him his power. Go ahead, Israel.
That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, and the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob have appeared before unto thee. Uh-huh. And the Lord said furthermore unto him, "Put now thine hand into thy bosom." So he got another he got another little move he about to show him. He like, "I want you to put your hand into your bosom. Go ahead." And he put his hand into his bosom. Uhhuh.
And when he took it out, behold, his hand was lepous as snow. His hand was white. So let you know Moses wasn't white. Right. Right. Learned something on the way. Learn something. That's a sign right there. He said his hand was lepous as snow. Then what? Go ahead. And he said, "Put thy hand into thy bosom again." "Put thy hand into thy bosom again." Go ahead. And he put his hand into his bosom again.
Because if he was already white and you pulled his hand out and it was leopard, it was lepers white as snow. Like what you doing? What trick? You a You a performed no trick. But now if your hand was my cup and you pull it out and you turning this leopard and snow, you got me. You got me. Amen, brother. He said, "Put his hand into his bosom again." And what happened? Go ahead.
And he plucked it out of his bosom. And behold, it was turned again his other flesh. It turned again as his other flesh. So he knew it came back. It It came back black. Yes, he came back black. Go ahead. Israel eight. And it shall come to pass. If they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the letter sign, then it shall come to pass.
If they would not believe also these two signs, neither hearken to thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon land, and the water thou taketh out of the river shall become blood unto the dry land. So, so he told, he proposes to I got you. If they don't want to listen to me, I'll do that. So, he telling Moses, all
I need you to do is go handle the mission for me. Yes, sir. I got the rest. What Moses say? Verse 10. Go ahead. And Moses said unto the Lord, "Oh my Lord, I am not eloquent." You're like, "Look, man. I ain't even eloquent. I ain't even eloquent." Right? Go ahead, Israel. Neither here to far, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant. Look, look, he said, since thou has spoken to thy servant, Go ahead.
But I am slow speech. He said, I got a slow speech. Go ahead. And I have a slow tongue. You know, I kind of speak a little funny a little bit. Lord, you know you don't you might might not want to use me, right? No, my my voice a little messed up a little bit. Go ahead, Israel. 11 And the Lord said unto him, "Who have made man's mouth? Or who maketh the dumb
or deaf or the sick or the blind? Have not I the Lord?" He said, "I'm the one that caused people to to be blind to death." Yes, sir. He really pulled out his wrap sheet on Moses. Go ahead. Now therefore go and I will be with thy mouth and teach thee what thou shalt say. He said look I'mma be with your mouth. Don't worry about your mouth. I'mma be with your mouth. Go ahead. Israel 13. And he said, "Oh my Lord, send I
pray thee by the hand of him whom thou will send." In other s please find somebody else to do it. Amen. 1:00:00 Please. 1:00:00 He's trying to get out of He's trying to get out of it. Go ahead. 1:00:03 Israel 14. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses. I see. Now the Lord got hot at him. 1:00:09 The Lord was patient with him for a minute. Yeah.
1:00:11 But now the anger of the Lord got kindled against Moses. Go ahead. And he said, "Go ahead. 1:00:15 Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother." Uhhuh. I know that he can speak well. You know what? Go where your brother at? 1:00:21 Cuz I know he can talk well. Where your brother? Go ahead. 1:00:25 And also, behold, he come forth to meet thee. Uhhuh. 1:00:29 And when he see thee, he will be glad in his heart.
1:00:32 Go ahead. and thou shalt speak unto him and put words in his mouth, and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. 1:00:42 You see, he say, you know what? Go get your brother, and I'm going to put my I'm I'm going to have you put the words in his mouth that I put in your mouth, right?
1:00:49 And I'mma teach him what he shall do. Verse 16, go ahead. 1:00:53 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people. 1:00:55 And he shall be the spokesman unto the people. Cuz Levi end up being what? Yes, sir. 1:01:03 End up being the messengers of God. Go ahead, Israel. 1:01:06 And he shall be even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth. 1:01:11 He going to be to thee instead of a mouth. And go ahead.
1:01:14 And thou shalt be to him instead of God because everybody know Moses was that prophet that was like unto the Lord. Yes sir. 1:01:21 We know that. Go ahead. Israel 17. And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, and wherewith thou shalt do 1:01:29 signs. where thou shalt do signs. So he So now the Lord put Moses in a straight jacket. You can't get out of this. Ain't no Ain't no way out of this now cuz I'm
1:01:38 cuz I'm cuz I'm having your brothers speak the word. So verse 18, what Moses do? Go ahead. 1:01:43 And Moses went and turned death to his father-in-law and said unto him, he go I pray and he which 1:01:52 are in Egypt and see whether they be yet alive. 1:01:55 Let me go check on my brothers. I got to go. I got to miss because put him in straight. You can't down.
1:02:04 Go ahead. Israel go in peace. In peace. Yes, sir. So, Moses Mo shaky at first. 1:02:11 But we gonna show you it didn't take Moses no time to get that faith all established. 1:02:16 It didn't take no time. But that's us as a people. You got to win your faith. You got to grow in your belief. 1:02:23 Everybody got to grow. Y'all got to grow. 1:02:26
The faith of that been in the word 50 years might not be the faith of somebody that been in it for or the faith of somebody that been in it for 10 years 1:02:34 might not be the faith of somebody that been in for three. Right? You got to grow. 1:02:39 Let's show you how Moses faith increased abundantly. Let's go to Exodus. 1:02:46 Let's go to Exodus 32.
1:02:49 It didn't take Moses no time to get his faith fully fully established. 1:02:55 Exodus 32. We'll pick it up at verse one. 1:02:59 Exodus 32 and we'll pick it up at verse one. When you get to Israel, go ahead and read. And when the people 1:03:07 saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said 1:03:15
unto him, make us, excuse me, make us gods, which shall go before us. For the 1:03:22 man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we ought not what is become of him. 1:03:27 He been up there talking up on that mountain all day. We don't know what's going on. Make us a more image so we can so we can get us a God to go back into the land of Egypt.
1:03:35 That's the type of people we are. 1:03:37 Go ahead. Israel two and Aaron said unto them, break off the golden earring. We're talking in the ears of your wives. 1:03:44 Man, Aaron hurt my feelings with this. 1:03:46 He hurt my feelings with this one. Go ahead. 1:03:49 Of your sons. and of your daughter and bring them unto me. Go ahead. 1:03:54 And all the people break off the golden earrings which were in their ears and brought them unto Aaron.
1:03:58 And they brought them unto Aaron. Go ahead. 1:04:00 And he received them at their hand and fashioned it with the grave and tool. Go ahead. After he had made it a mult. 1:04:08 Uhhuh. 1:04:09 And they said, "These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt." 1:04:16 Go ahead, Israel. And when Abram saw it, he built an altar before it. And Abram made proclamation and said, "Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord." Go ahead.
1:04:27 And they rose up early on tomorrow and offer burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat and to drink and rose up to play. 1:04:38 Man, ain't that crazy? They doing this right there on Mount Si. Right there on Mount Si. 1:04:44 Getting it on. Go ahead, Israel. And the Lord said unto Moses, "Go get thee down, for thy people, which thou brought up
1:04:53 out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves." They have corrupted theelves. So remember when, you remember when we was talking about Moses was 1:05:01 telling the Lord, you know, I'm not elo, you know, I'm not eloquent. You know, I got a slow speech. I ain't really, you know, I mean, I ain't fit for Moses 1:05:08 didn't feel like he was fit for the job, right?
1:05:10 But we gonna show you that ain't that ain't the same Moses no more. Moses is not playing about the Lord no more. 1:05:17 That's right. We going to skip on down to verse 15 and go in Israel. 1:05:21 And Moses turned and went down from the mount and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand. The tables 1:05:29 were written on both their sides. On the one side and on the other were they written. Were they written? Go ahead.
1:05:35 And the tables were in the were the work of God. The writing was the writing of God wring upon the table. 1:05:42 See, the Lord wrote that stuff by himself. That's why I be telling people literature was already here before us. 1:05:48 The Lord was the Lord wrote that that was that was wrote with the finger of God. Yes, sir. 1:05:52 He wrote down the laws, the statues and the commandments. Yes, sir.
1:05:55 Wrote them down on stone and gave them and gave them to Moses. 1:05:59 Go ahead. And when Joshua heard the noise of the people and they shouted, he said unto Moses, there is a noise of war in the camp. 1:06:07 Uhhuh. 1:06:08 And he said, it is not the voice of them that shout for mastery. Uh-huh. 1:06:12 You know, it's the voice of them that cry for being overcome, but the noise of them that sing.
1:06:20 Well, you know, Joshua like, man, sound like somebody down there partying. They down there partying. Moses, man. And what happened? Go ahead. 1:06:27 19 And it came to pass as soon as he came n into the camp that he saw the calf and the dancing and Moses anger 1:06:36 waxed hot. All Moses was fired up when he seen that calf and he seen him dancing around the calf and praising
1:06:42 that calf. For Moses anger waxed hot. Go ahead. 1:06:46 And he cast the tables out of his hand and broke in beneath the mouth. 1:06:50 So he was so mad he broke he broke the tables of commandments that that that the Lord had just gave him for the people. He broke it. Then what happened? 1:06:59 Go ahead. 1:06:59 20 and he took the calves which they had made.
1:07:02 So that calf. So in the middle of them having their fun dancing, they probably had the music on and everything. He came right down there. He took the calf and did what with it? Go ahead. 1:07:11 And burnt it in the fire. Go ahead. And ground it to powder and strewed it upon the water and made the children of Israel drink of it. 1:07:20 And he made them drink of it. Go ahead.
1:07:22 And Moses said unto Aaron, what did this people do? with this people unto thee that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them. 1:07:32 Wait, what? What? What? What's up with you? You have brought this sin upon them. Go ahead, Israel. 1:07:37 And Abram said, "Let not the anger of my Lord wax hot." Uhhuh. 1:07:41 Those people that they are set on mischief. They set on mischief. Go ahead, Israel.
1:07:47 But they said unto me, Make us God, which which shall go before us. For as for this Moses, the man that brought us 1:07:55 up out of the land of Egypt, we ought not what is become of him. Go ahead. 1:08:00 And I said unto them, Whosoever have any dog, let them break it off. So they gave 1:08:07 it meat. Then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this.
1:08:12 There came out this calf. Now read that next verse. What did he say on verse 25? 1:08:17 And Moses saw that the people were naked. 1:08:19 That's the same thing that happened with Adam and Eve. been guard. Who told you he was naked? 1:08:29 Naked represents sin. That's what that mean. 1:08:34 He said, "When Moses saw that the people were naked, go ahead. 1:08:37 For Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies." See, Aaron, if you wouldn't have gave no calf to to worship, they wouldn't had
1:08:45 nothing to worship, right? You shouldn't have made no multi calf. Go ahead. Israel. 1:08:52 26. Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp. He stayed. 1:08:55 Hey, so you know what? He got so mad he stood in the gate of the camp. And what did Moses say? Go ahead. Who was on the Lord's side? 1:09:02 If you're on the Lord's side, come on over here. Go ahead. Let him come unto me. Go ahead.
1:09:06 And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. And what happened?
